I can't help but notice the similarities between the way bi people are seen, the way trans people are seen, the way atheists are seen, the way biracial people are seen, and the way Jews (and other peoples of ME origin, like for instance Iranians) are seen. To the bigots, they're scary because they're not the dominant group but can sometimes pass; to others, they're not "really" oppressed because they can sometimes pass, and can be suspected of being oppressors in disguise. I think we need a word for this type of resentment; I'm going with "kataskopophobia" for now.

They are a descendant of a divergent branch of second-wave feminism, who misconstrued fighting patriarchy as making war against men. Because they are a small branch of a single generation, which has since split off into its own group, they are a comparatively minuscule minority.
