  5. It took me a bit to get used to this car. First time I saw it I thought they pasted an S80 butt onto an XC40. I see them a lot tho so they're normal cars now, and I do like the nose with the "grille".

  8. They could've done better on that dashboard, but you know I hate the current trend. Manual V8 though, hell yeah. Sounds proper too. And it's kinda incognito, it doesn't have huge wings etc.

  10. I remember the video of that CEL, man that was some bad luck then. /knocks on wood. And yes, not a lot of touch screens is a good thing. If you look at current ferrari's that interior is just an accident waiting to happen. I don't see why anyone would need apple carplay though. ;) Serious question: Is your regular fuel riddled with that e10 ethanol rubbish as well? Also, 5 dollars something for 3 or 4 liters? That's HELLA cheap. I pay 2 euro 55 per LITER for premium here and 2.45 euro for regular. (with e10 rubbish)

I have 2 problems with this car (not looks wise, it's easily a step up from the E9x series... minus the tail lights): Above all the weight, I checked what an estate of these should weigh and sorry, that's a good 400 kg more than any car in this class has any right weighing. Not gonna lie that's off-putting for me. I have a Mondeo estate, that's +- a 5 series competitor, and my car is 300( !!!!) Kilos (!!!! so 600-700 lbs) lighter than this as an estate. Also the dashboard. I absolutely hate the "gauges". But you touched on that :P You know people like me are out there.

  14. in an e30 chassis you need to cut open the firewall to move the engine backwards for one of these, otherwise it'll just have a way too heavy nose to be anything other than a straight line pony.

  15. I see styling cues from Toyota and Audi. Actual proper spare tire is a big plus. Looks like a proper rear leg space there in a small car. Don't like the dashboard at all. It's not an LFA so it doesn't need digital gauges. (You knew this was coming 😂). I never understand why cvt cars come with paddle shifts. One complaint: How is a civic "entry" level? 24k is definitely not entry level. Entry level is stuff like the C1/107/aygo, Picanto and Twingo. This has a lot above those. Like the steering wheel btw. Also it's the "sport" trim, why wouldn't I buy this because of exciting cornering 😂

  16. Man that's an OG. I'd never drive it without gloves though, I have really bad experiences with wooden wheels. I'm more a 911 guy but man these originals sure got some charm.

  20. Damn the waste gate is LOUD. Is it exactly the same gearing and final drive as the civic as well? If you buy this car, it's only for sporty drives. You don't take this thing shopping. These things have been absolutely mad from the original atom onwards. I remember they supercharged that first thing too if you wanted them.

  21. The 360 solved maintenance issues the 355 had but looked less good doing so. There are real nice specs of them out there (there is a yellow with black spider close to me, really cool car, gets driven all year round too) but in general it's just not as good looking as a 355 is.... If you ask me. They do sound amazing though with that 5 valve engine inherited from the f355. I love that they had nothing on the wheel yet with this. Current ferraris have the whole care operated from the wheel with capacative touch, big yikes if you ask me. Gauge cluster is perfect too. Aren't there some modded out to rev to like 9300?

  26. What's wrong with the wheel? it looks better than a ferrari roma. Also besides the material choices somewhat, the interior hasn't aged at all. TBF I like the 996, but I'm the only one among all of my porsche loving friends, they're all about the 993 (which I like least of the 911) and the 997.

  27. My mom had the last Seat Marbella ever made. It was a rustbucket from new, literally within 5 weeks it started to rust. Want to know what the dealer said? You only see that because this one is white. Dude, we just traded in a white seat marbella to buy this NEW white seat marbella..... Definitely gonna miss the 4c, more brands should make cars purely focused on the driving experience like for instance this and the Miata. Sucks that the dashboard is a playstation interface but can't win em all, at least there are actual buttons in the interior. In manual mode, is it proper manual or does it shift if you threaten to hit the limiter or give it some gas below 3000 rpm? This car has always been a party piece in the new car offerings. I would personally buy an Elise over it though. I have experience with Alfa. đŸ€Ł they are a-ma-zing as long as they drive. As long as.

  28. Sidebrake is only on the correct side if you main right hand drive :P Also, I'd want a custom rev counter to go the other way around. Plus for actual gauges though. Also that V8 sounds insane.

  29. This is the first pretty mid-ship v8 ferrari since the 355 and the last as well. The 488 is just an uglier version of this. and 125bhp / ltr NA is nothing to sniff at still man. Last good sounding v8 as well before they swapped to a different engine design with a different crankshaft. And wait, you gotta wait for the fuel pump before you can hit the power button? Ha, reliable? I know someone who bought the maserati that has this engine and gearbox and was like "it's fine they use the 458 drivetrain now no problem" and the first 6 months I saw him drive the dealer's peugeot more than the maserati. 😂😂

  34. That brake rotor, is it a Tarox? Looks just like the rotors I used to run on my Cup E30. My dad has the Alfa version of this, the Alfa 155 Q4. He didn't treat it how it should've been treated (brought it to a garage that to his face said he didn't want it), so yeah, his has a history of NOT running. I remember driving that thing though, it drives GREAT. Grip is a thing. Snow on flat 215 wide summer tires? No problem. These cars will outcorner a LOT.

Anyway, it's a steel box on wheels like most cars, instant always there power is very handy in traffic. Also don't speak to me of temperatures lol, I used to drive my panda without a thermostat in traffic jams. đŸ€Ł Speaking of price, if I look around the interior and compare it to my 45000 euro car, I prefer mine. Sure the tesla has the latest and greatest on that ipad (which they really need to ditch), but look at the window buttons lol, that panel could come from a sub 10000 dollar car. Steering wheel also doesn't look near as classy as it could as well. I agree, it should be like a 30-40k car. It's a decent car, party piece is the launch, handling will be good with the battery in the floor. All in, as i said, not my thing but hey. Also the people who drive these and think they're not part of the problem any more get on my nerves.

My dog is literally scared of these cars cause the exhaust pops and bangs 😂 Also, Beats is nothing to be proud of anymore đŸ€Ș I'll never understand cars that have a start button but actually require a key insertion. Either have a start button or start with the key..... That's the only gripe I have with it, it's a really cool car although the interior is really from the old Fiat storehouse. That key was for the fiat and iveco vans as well :P And yeah, short and light car with decent power is fun as hell.

  45. haha even over here where we have mandatory driving school etc etc that's way overrated. Getting your driver's license means that you can theoretically partake in traffic without being a nimwit. That's literally it. We need mandatory and state funded advanced driving courses, even if it's only a morning on the skid pad for an anti-skid course. It is so usefull and literally lifesaving.

  50. Those things don't have much power, but with the speed you can carry through corners they don't need much power because you barely need to scrub speed. Have you seen some of the Aero 2cv's that go around the belgian race tracks? Those things are crazy.
