  2.  @kingrobotnik6950  Women historically leveraged their reproductive capabilities for protection and resources. Male levered their utility and resources to secure mating rights. Things broke down when society became so safe that women feel they no longer have to follow this agreement. And while I agree its a cultural and social issue to the civilizations afflicted with it, its one that is at the core of human biology. As society degrades, and should it become more unsafe, women will again have to enter into this agreement with men. Right now they dont have to.

  14. @S. Its a matter of choice not fault. It doesnt have to be a pejorative. But every choice has a consequence. If a woman wants a man her own age, she will be hard pressed to find one who has made his way in the world. Not only do young men have to compete with other men, they now are forced to compete with women as well. So she may look to one in his 30s or early 40s, will most women your age do that? No, its to stigmatizing. Well thats a choice. These are all unintended consequences to choices. But they are still consequences. When women want kids enough, they will stay home and take care of their own and maybe take care of their neighbors as well. Earn a little coin doing it too. But that would require a change in lifestyle no? Again, its not blame, its not good or bad, its just choices. And every choice, has a consequence. How you view that consequence is up to individual interpretation. And you dont need as much money as you think. But you want that much because you like those things. When you want kids more than you want those things, you might compromise on it. Until then, again, its a choice that has a consequence. I lived in California until last year. Arguably more expensive than Britain. I got married, had 3 sons, and bought 4 different houses. I did it on an income that maxed out at $65k, thats roughly 48.5k pounds. I just want to say I dont blame young people, most are utterly ignorant of basic economic principles because they have never been taught them. If they did they would burn down their respective governments. And lets be honest, most women have been so utterly brainwashed that most dont even think of getting married until maybe 28 and having a kid or maybe two once they are in their early 30s. I dont mean to sound insulting but its stunning how talking to younger women they all parrot the same thing. Yes I am also aware of how utterly stupid a man in his 20s is. I was one several decades ago. But men have the luxury of something women do not, time.

Things are on autopilot. And since there are massive disruptions in the movement of goods and services due to the coof the negative feedback for demand hasnt been seen by businesses yet. They are just assuming its there. But it will be as supply chains are restructured and to everyones shock and horror, they wont need as many workers. Demographers called this out like 2 decades ago. They even stated pretty much universally that 2020 would be the high water point for demand.

No more "free" health care, no more council estates, no more free cash from the Queen. Do you stop having sex? without free birth control how do you keep from getting pregnant? If you do get pregnant and have the child and the man cant provide what do you do? starve? Does the child starve? These are issues your ancestors faced not even 100 years ago. The answer is you have self control and personal responsibility. I know its mean and cold. But its better than starving babies and women who have to prostitute themselves so they can feed their kids. But yes, right now my position can save nations from that future. Like I said I get it. It sucks. You didnt build this world and all its crap problems. You just have to live in it. I am giving you another option. Your option doesnt work per what you say you want, this one might not be optimal to you either. But I know which of the two doesnt require help from a state entity. And I do empathize with your position. Love chains us like nothing else and makes fools of us all.

  23. @S. You are joking arent you? Family planning was always a thing. People typically didnt have more kids in the US than they could care for. There is this view that men didnt care what happen to their wives. That they were just baby machines to their husbands. As a man I find this laughable. In the US in 1800 the average family had 7 children, half statistically would die. By 1900 the average family had 3.5. What changed? In both cases family size was stable. Ill admit I dont know late 19th and early 20th century British domestic history, but was it really so different there? You are right on the economics though. But and I want to say I cant cover everything in a post because who will read it, A lot of the expense is coming from political policies used to buy votes. A policy, like lets say rent vouchers for the poor, sound like a good thing. But then there is more money and more competition for rental spaces and so guess what happens to prices, they go up. Same when people do it for food. the same with health care. And soon people see it as a right and anyone who comes and says hey I know these policies seem good, but they are causing all these unintended consequences. And they are very quickly called every name in the book and they learn quickly that no one will listen to them. I mean you have done it to me several times. You even think I dont care, when in fact I do. Most of the economic issues of today exist because of the added economic value the last 4 generations have had. If you want to fix it you need to remove those programs. But people dont want to because its their turn to get the free stuff. Its like the doctor who wants to treat a patient but has to cause them a pain. Bitter medicine that the patient does not want to swallow. In the end thats a choice. But when a leg turns black or you get sepsis and die, thats not the doctors fault. its the fault of the patient who refused treatment. Who is blaming 20 year old women for a 100% of what? I am not even following you on that. Can you explain that a bit more please?

Regardless, when you look at white and blacks raised in a two parent home they have similar outcomes in the US. So it is true.

  35. @ian x Most of their debt isnt internal. How do you think it pays for its fuel costs? When Japan goes bankrupt as a nation it will be in the dark, just like Turkey is now. And as the demand drops around the world and their GDP shrinks that debt will get larger and larger until it crushes them. Thats when people stop sending them fuel and food. Japan should be watched. What happens to them will happen to every nation in the west. I do think its funny that the British are complaining about immigration. Considering their royal family is German. But its whatever.

  36. @S. People didnt have child care cost in the 60s. Women raised their own kids by and large at least in the US, im assuming things in Britain were similar. But you also have a much higher standard of living than people did in the 60s. Ask yourself, would you return to that standard of living if you could afford to have as many kids as you wanted. You would?! Well thats amazing, you can start doing that today. And thats the problem, women and a lot of men dont want to. And thats ok. But every choice has a consequence. Also i was curious as to the fertility rate in the UK in the 60s, its high point in 1963 was 2.8 (the average woman had 2.8 children), by 1969 it dropped to 2.4 and you all have been at about 1.7 since 1979. So your basic idea is way off.

The Confederates made extensive use of trench systems that impressed the Europeans for their ability to hold of Union advances for most of the war. The only difference between the two, and what finally broke the trench defense, was armor.

African nations fertility rates are dropping by 50% each generation. 2 more generations and they will all be below replacement rates. I get called a bad man for stating the obvious.   44. Normally, for the US, printing money doesnt cause inflation. The US has a very different economy than most other nations. We import goods and export dollars. Dollar demand in the world is still high. But when the world economy and all the supply chains stopped, America stopped exporting dollars and so they stayed home. At the same time the stimi's and ultra low rates which allowed people to afford more bank loans (which literally creates money out of nothing, fractional reserve banking) created more dollars. The Fed, buying all the mortgage back securities created even more drive for the banks to loan more, creating more dollars. Under a normal running world economy, the inflation would be transitory. But even before Russia invaded Ukraine the world supply chains werent running right. And then there is the whole thing about peak demand from a demographic standpoint world wide happedned in 2020.

But if you are an American, there is no American race, being an American is 100% cultural. And that culture changes a little with every generation. There are few race based countries in the "new world", and no one wants to be Haiti, not even Haiti.
