Lord tunderin' Jesus, that was nice o' ya t' say, bye.👍😄
5
So he's named both Ricky and Randy. There's your problem.😂
5
@funtodiekk Your wizened soul is sold or hacked or you're just blindly following. Most likely all three.
5
@OdunoZoluze His reply was perfectly coherent. One period got misplaced but it was still clear where the sentence break was, thanks to capitalization. You missed a period entirely and failed to start a sentence with a capital letter, creating a run-on sentence.
5
Anyone who wasn't k'rupt wouldn't have been stung by such idle and random abuse. Anyway, he showed his true colours concerning his temperament. He's unsuited to high office in many ways, but even those grounds alone would be enough.
5
@Huguillon You need to become one.
5
"A full list of these warming centres are available" Kayla never learned about subject-verb agreement when she was in journalism school. I learned when I was maybe 10.

Justin Trudeau: "Hey Putin, stop stealing my moves!"

How can something be "commemorated" at the moment it happens? Commemoration has to do with remembering something. (The fact that the word memory is practically embedded in there should be a hint.) Otherwise it's just a ceremony. Words aren't just random strings of letters that mean whatever someone guesses. But ok, go ahead and keep misusing this and other words. Do it enough times and you force the dictionaries to include your corrupted meanings.🙄

Europe has now paid far more to Ukraine than the US. They've really ramped up the aid since late '22. Just saying.

Two-tier justice system

@stevelang6990 Ok, Ahmed/Farshad/Ali/Sergei/Chanfun.
4
@Manunggalati The Londoners on (I think) Westminster Bridge were afraid of the knife murderer and he wore a fake bomb vest to boot—but they took him down anyway. That's courage. (2018 plus or minus one year.)
4
Why on earth is a judge involved? They are trespassing on U of T property and have been asked to leave. Therefore a call to police should be all that's needed. Help me out here. 🤔
4
@jgp7414 You keep posting that in contexts that show you don't know what the phrase means. Pro tip: Before using words or expressions, be sure you know what they mean. It's incredibly easy in the internet age. Don't guess from context.
4
@jgp7414 Might be a good idea to go for a check-up.
4
Loblaws is operating the same as ever. What happened was the food that it purchases went up in price. It was a global phenomenon. To me it's embarrassing that many Canadians are so simplistic in their thinking as to believe that the retailers are the boogeymen.
4
It very much sounds like you're doing all you should be doing. I for one thank you. I expect the mayor would agree with me, along with all reasonable people. But apparently not everyone is up to your level. The mayor is talking to them, not you. Carry on!👍
4
@PabloGonzalez-hv3td Fair take. Standard low-key interception. Congrats for coming round to my factual point of view.
4
😂 Every word of it was lies and misinformation.😂
4
Rocksteady-bw6ix 😂 Russia under Putin voted Yes on the UN Security Council Resolution which authorized the 40+ nation force in Afghanistan! So did China! The force, named ISAF, included soldiers from every continent. The whiner is Putin.
4
It wasn't in Chinese airspace. It was over international waters. Besides that, China voted to support the North Korea sanctions, and monitoring is part of those sanctions. Canada is only doing its part to support the UN-mandated sanctions. It was only a maritime reconnaissance plane, which is exactly suited to the task. Canada is a square country which doesn't behave aggressively or inappropriately towards anyone, let alone China.
4
"How Canada's reputation is faring," not "fairing"! Omg.🙄 How one fares is how one 'makes out,' how one 'does.' (Originally, to 'fare' was to make one's way in the sense of travel.) So How've you been faring? = How've you been doing? = How've you been making out? 'Fairing' isn't even a verb, it's a noun. A fairing is an outer covering, like on a spaceship or a motorcycle.
4
😂 You're really good at this. Keep it up.
4
Ah, and you should know, Vitaly.
4
"Rational relations" is very unpromising. It's a way of saying Canada is being irrational and has to get real. An admonishment at best, more like a dismissal, at worst a middle finger. Thanks, Prime Minister Peter Pan.
4
It's true that a problem exists, but that honestly sounds close to a blanket condemnation. In fairness, I'm pretty sure most of them do leave their animosities behind. There's no way I can be precise about it, but that's my firm impression after a lifetime of knowing countless immigrants.
4
@sarah7755 Oh my god.🙄Sure it's happening right now, but past or present doesn't enter into it. 'Leave behind' means don't bring these grievances and battles in your new home. It's fine if your old country gets into conflict and you care. It's fine if you send money to the side which you support. It's fine if you travel back to lend support in person in whatever way. But don't cause trouble on American streets (or European or Canadian or Australian streets). I think you had a bit of a reading comprehension moment there. Best wishes and have a good day.
4
@cassieo4337 I believe the govt announced that sparrows were a problem and had to be eradicated. As I seem to recall, it led to problems. Suddenly there were far too many of the insects the birds ate, or something like that.
4
@keepingthefaith9041 It takes a kid and an ah to not know she's been (according to you) "up for days"? You didn't even read my comment. (1) I said nothing (and thought nothing, and noticed nothing) about her "looking tired." (2) I have no idea what you mean by "farce," and you clearly have no idea what the word means. (3) I don't "think she isn't delighted," I said, in different words, that either she isn't or she's a strange person. Imagine having one's feelings affected to that degree by a social media comment, and then actually responding as you did. Wow, madam, you've got problems. (Not 'sir,' surely?) Allegedly.
4
Oh my God! The Petersburg street urchin who nearly ended up in prison like all his little friends, the KGB operative who was in East Germany to colonize it, the gangster bandit who has his challengers poisoned and shot — this moral bankrupt has the nerve to lecture the infinitely more square West about what's fair and right! Here's a guy who stands a great chance of meeting the fate of Mussolini, and here he is moralizing. Omg.
4
No! Freeze, don't seize. Seize it post-war, for reconstruction. During the war, aid can be funded without it. Mark my words, right now Russia would make extremely effective prop a ga nd a hay out of its seizure by the West. Terrible idea. Ukraine, '22: "I need ammunition, not a ride." Now: "I need ammunition, not cash."
4
Well, it's finally official: Global News has capitulated to the trans k u ll t. This wasn't journalism. This was a trans activist report.
4
@crataeguscrusgalli Pollsters, jibing with everything I've read, seen & heard, say Canadians have judged him harshly and with finality. His 15% true-believer base is dwarfed by his vilifiers. Any recovery will be of the 'dead-cat-bounce' variety.
4
Rita who?
4
Excellent point and well stated. I see the overseas pro posters have downvoted it down to 2nd from the bottom. You know, if I were you I'd be honoured and take it as a frank compliment.
4
Ha. National security is absolutely the government's business.
4
Hahaha I endorse every word of that. Thanks especially for spearing that red-and-orange map nonsense. Low visual rhetoric.
4
@peggyivey5828 Actually, this time, for once, Europe is paying more than the US. It's really strengthening NATO and a lot of credit has to go to Trump. It's what he wanted all along and it turns out the afterimage of his term in office and the prospect of him coming back are, together, moving mountains — even though he's out of power. I was never a supporter of his and never liked him, but he was effective, I have to admit that.
4
We welcome our Swedish friends whom we have known so long.👍 When you need us we will help you.
4
False dichotomy. There's no either-or. All the wealth necessary to aid both Ukraine and disadvantaged Americans already exists. Sorry, Sergei. Busted!
4
The rules the Premier referred to are the law of the land. The way she ridiculed "our rules," meaning our laws, as though they aren't laws that are ours to make was very offensive. People can't bring their own laws to Ontario, nor can they disrespect the ones they find here. There's no room for debating that. She needs to apologize to Ontarians.
4
* Saw, Cletus. The word is saw.
4
That's your own inference, and you're welcome to it. But Poilievre said no such thing. Nor should anyone say that being an office cleaner is a bad thing, nor a seasonal fruit-picker at an orchard. But all three occupations are unsuitable preparation for holding the most important job in the country.
4
@andj2009 But no one said anything about supporting Trump, only you. So you invented people who weren't even there in order to call them hypocrites. I'd call that amazing, but I'm not actually amazed.
4
@vp922 A 2,500-year-old civilization should surely have matured to the point that it's not divided nor in conflict with itself. It hasn't? Well then, I wish it rapid success in its further efforts. I think that is possible. The world needs a strong and healthily functioning India more than ever, as the number of good countries seems to be shrinking. By the way, it might interest you to know that Canada has no colonies. You've been misinformed on that.

"Using a large dataset with detailed measures of criminal involvement we found consistent evidence that individuals self-identified as politically liberal also self-reported more involvement in crime cross-sectionally and prospectively. The relationship between political ideology and criminal conduct was linear: very conservative individuals reported the lowest levels of criminal participation and very liberal individuals reported the highest levels." — Political ideology predicts involvement in crime, John Paul Wright Ph.D., et al., Journal of Personality and Individual Differences, 1 February 2017

Woof-woof-woof.🤢
4
@Hutch-b2p The LCBO has nothing to do with those.
4
I would say comportment, for its sense of 'bearing' which is not quite present in deportment. But otherwise I am in general agreement.
