I watched the last half of the last round, counting landed punches in .25 slow motion. I recorded each sequence; 1:08:06- Bud lands a left body, Mad lands a right counter. 1:08:12-Mad throws 2 left hooks, the 2nd lands. 1:08:14-Bud lands a right partially, misses a 2nd right- 1:08:17-Bud gets a left blocked, Mad lands a good right, Bud misses a wild right as he falls off-balance, Bud has another right blocked while Mad lands another right-1:08:25- Bud throws 5 punches, the first 2 miss, the last left hook lands, the other 2 I can't see but I gave him 1 of those 2, Mad ends the sequence by landing a right- 1:08:30- Mad lands another straight right then misses a right, Bud lands a body shot in between- 1:08:38-Bud misses an uppercut, Mad misses 2 punches, Bud misses a body shot and has his jab blocked.-1:08:48-Mad misses one punch, Bud misses 2, Mad lands a little left hook, Bud lands a hard left jab. 1:08:54-Mad lands a body shot, Bud misses 2 punches, Mad misses a punch. 1:09:03- Mad lands a glancing right, Bud lands a body shot, 1:09:05-Bud throws 3 punches, 2 are blocked, the other misses, 1:09:11- Bud throws a left hook that Mad ducks under, 1:09:14-Bud lands a right hook, 1:09:18- Mad lands a left jab, Mad misses a left and a right, Bud blocks a left hook, 1:09:24-Bud lands a glancing uppercut, Mad misses a right, 1:09:29-Mad lands a left jab and a glancing right, Bud has a jab blocked and misses his last punch, a right to the body.
If you add this up, Madrimov was 14 for 25, Bud was 10 for 30. This was only the last half of the last round. I credited each guy with 2 glancing punches. This was indicative of most of the fight; Bud with more volume, Madrimov with more accuracy. I have Madrimov winning 8-4, that's giving Bud the benefit of an even round.

@Hieiman I don't think Bud's punches were too fast to see, I watched every round in .25 slow motion. I don't know if you did the same, but otherwise it was you that couldn't see the fast punches of Madrimov land. I'm a fan of both guys so I have no prejudice. Madrimov was controlling the fight, he was great on defense, blocking and ducking under punches very well. I turned off the volume so as not to be influenced by commentary. Slow motion without commentary is the purest way to watch and assess a fight.
I didn't score the fight based upon watching casually, I counted every single punch, including replaying a punch 2 or 3 times if necessary to be as accurate as possible. I went thru a lot of time and effort to get it right. I believe that my punch count totals are as accurate as possible. You have your opinion, I based my score on punches landed and without prejudice.
The punches landed totals from each round so far; 1st round, Bud landed 3 jabs- Madrimov landed 4 jabs and 1 power shot,.....Madrimov wins round 1. 2nd round, Bud landed 3 jabs- Madrimov landed 3 jabs and 3 power punches,.... Madrimov wins round 2. Round 3, Bud landed 5 jabs and 1 power punch- Madrimov landed 6 jabs and one power punch, ........Madrimov wins round 3. 4th round, Bud landed 5 jabs and 1 power punch- Madrimov landed 8 jabs and 5 power punches, ...Madrimov wins round 4. 5th round, Bud landed 4 jabs and 1 power punch- Madrimov landed 2 jabs and 6 power punches,....Madrimov wins the 5th round. 5-0 so far for Madrimov. That's as far as I've counted so far; I'll return after reviewing the remaining 7 rounds.............................
6th round assessment; Bud landed 6 jabs and 2 power punch-Madrimov landed 2 jabs and 5 power punches. Bud landed more punches overall 8-7, but since Madrimov landed 5 power shots versus 2 power shots by Bud, I give the round to Madrimov. I have it 6-0 for Madrimov half-way thru the fight. If my score is accurate, Madrimov has already secured a draw after 6 rounds. Since he's the champion coming into the fight, there's no way that Bud won this fight.

@Illustrator-dq3nv With Porter? Bud was in his corner after the 9th round. He was talking to someone that was in the ring. They couldn't hear each other but Bud was asking if he was ahead. You could see Bud ask, 'I'm up'? The man told him no. Bud asked again, 'he up'? Then he asked a 3rd time, ' he up'? I saw him tell his cornermen, 'he up', meaning that Porter was up, according to whoever Bud was getting that information from.
I just looked at the scorecards and 2 judges had it even at 76-76 but that was after the 8th. The 3rd judge had Bud ahead by 2, 77-75 after the 8th. After the 9th, 2 judges had Bud up by one point, 86-85, the 3rd judge had Bud ahead by 3 points after the 9th, 87-84. That means that the official cards had Bud ahead after the 9th but someone told Bud that Porter was up on the cards. Whoever told him that he was behind after the 9th was wrong, but he was only ahead by one point on 2 cards. At that point it still could have gone either way, but the stoppage took care of that.
If Shawn had continued after the 2 knockdowns he would have been behind by 3 points on 2 cards and 5 points on the 3rd card, needing a KO to win. The point I was trying to make is that the fight was very close at the end of the 9th. It was tied on 2 cards after the 8th. I was comparing Bud having a difficult fight with Porter thru 9 rounds, and how much better is Canelo than Porter? You're right that Bud was ahead after the 9th, I was misled just like Crawford was.

@rodhipps6378 I can't believe they're going to fight, it seems unrealistic. Canelo seems too big, he can take anyone's punches and he has far more power than Bud. Canelo isn't as slow as you might think either. Canelo's last stoppage was in 2022 when he stopped Caleb Plant, that was 7 fights ago. I think Khan was ahead on points when the ko happened in their fight. I also think Canelo lost to Erislandy Lara and at least twice to GGG.
I was very critical of Canelo regarding most of his fights until he fought Trout. Every guy he fought before that looked smaller than he was. Since the fight with Trout however, I think he's stepped it up against worthy opponents for the most part. Only Khan was at a big disadvantage in his last 25 fights roughly. He fought Trout, Lara, Daniel Jacobs, Bivol, Kovalev, 3 fights with GGG ( although he waited until GGG was past his best ), Rider, Munguia, Plant, Saunders, Kirkland, Angulo, Chavez jr and so on.
I can't believe he fought Josesito Lopez, Tyner, Mosley, Lovemore N'dou, Baldomir, Matthew Hatton and even Cotto was smaller than Canelo. Not only were they smaller but they weren't exactly top shelf when he fought them. Ndou had lost 2 of his last 4 coming into the fight with Canelo, Baldomir 3 of his last 5, Kermit Cintron 2 of his last 3, Tyner lost 2 of his last 4, Shane Mosely was 0-2-1 in his last 3 before Canelo, Cotto was at the end of his career and finished 4-4 in his last 8 fights and Lopez was 1-1 in his last 2 fights. Fighting smaller guys that hadn't been winning much wasn't right IMO.

@TheBookOfSammy Too many decisions have been controversial. As a result, out of frustration I began to score my own fights. I use punches landed as the only criteria, save for the details re: the landed punches. I give one full point for a power shot to the head, and 1/2 point for a jab or a body punch. Also, I don't count illegal punches. I watch in .25 slow motion with the commentary turned off. Many punches are difficult to see, I have to replay some of them 3 or 4 times in slow motion before I can be sure. If I can't be sure of a given punch, I don't count it.
I scored the fight this way; Rd#1- Madrimov landed 4 jabs to the body, 1 jab to the head and 1 straight right hand. Bud landed a single jab only. Madrimov wins the 1st round. 2nd round- Madrimov landed 2 right hands and 2 jabs to the body. Bud landed 2 jabs in the round. Madrimov wins the 2nd round. Round#3- Bud landed 9 punches, all were jabs. Madrimov landed 6 punches, 4 jabs and 2 right hands. The 2 right hands by Madrimov score a full point each but Madrimov still fell short. Bud wins round #3...Rd#4-Madrimov landed 9 punches, 5 of which were power shots to the head, the other 4 were jabs. Bud landed 4 punches, 2 power punches and 2 jabs. Madrimov wins round #4,..........he leads 3-1 after 4 rounds.
Round #5-Madrimov landed 10 punches, 6 power punches and 4 jabs. Bud landed 4 jabs in the round. Madrimov wins the 5th round....Round#6-Bud landed 9 punches to only 4 by Madrimov, Bud wins the 6th round. Round#7-Madrimov landed 7 punches, 5 of them were power punches. Bud landed 9 punches, 2 power punches and 7 jabs. Both get 6 points for the round, this was the most difficult round to call. Since Bud landed 2 more punches, I gave him the 7th round. 4-3 in favor of Madrimov after 7 rounds.
The 8th round- Bud landed 7 punches, Madrimov landed 15. Madrimov wins the 8th round....Round#9-Bud landed 8 punches, 3 were power punches, the other 5 were jabs. Madrimov landed 7 punches, 6 were power shots to the head, the other was a jab. Despite that Bud landed more punches 8 to 7, I gave Madrimov the round because he landed 6 power punches to only 3 power punches for Bud. The way that I score Bud gets 5 1/2 points and Madrimov gets 6 1/2 points for the 9th round. 6 rounds to 3 in favor of Madrimov after 9 rounds.
The 10th round- Madrimov landed 10 punches, 7 power punches and 3 jabs, giving him 8 1/2 points for the round. Bud landed 9 punches, 2 power punches and 7 jabs, giving him 5 1/2 points. Madrimov wins the 10th round. The 11th round- Bud had a very good round, he wins the 11th round. The 12th round- Bud landed 27 punches, Madrimov landed 21. This was another difficult round to score. Madrimov, like in the other rounds, landed more power punches than Bud landed. Since Bud landed his highest number of punches, 6 more than Madrimov, I gave Bud the last round. That makes my final score 7-5, or 115-113 in favor of Madrimov.
