@blxkqtysgojh1094 I watched in .25 slow motion, still had to replay some punches 2 or 3 times. The last 2 rounds were difficult to score, too many punches were blocked from view by the body of one guy or the other. I had Madrimov winning the 11th, Bud winning the 12th. Bud landed 8 punches to only 6 for Madrimov in the 11th, but Madrimov landed 5 power shots and Bud landed only one power punch, the other 7 were jabs. I score a full point for a power shot, a half point for a jab or body punch. Bud landed 12 punches in the 12th to 8 for Madrimov. Bud landed 7 power punches to only 4 for Madrimov in the 12th.

@shortmasters1 Madrimov landed more power shots and they count for more than jabs.
1
@youngk596 He must have landed 30 to 40 straight right hands, and a bunch of left and right hooks around Bud's guard. Nobody has had such success against Crawford. It wasn't so much about volume, accuracy was the difference.

Timing beats speed.
1
@mr.brightside6576 What do you suppose I was counting, punches that missed and/or were ineffective?
1
Started too late? I had Madrimov ahead 5-0 after 5 rounds. Bud was confused, couldn't let his hands go. Madrimov kept landing that straight right, clean shots over and over.

@mr.brightside6576 Landing more punches doesn't mean you win the round? That's all that matters, punching the guy in the face is the name of the game. I counted every punch in .25 slow motion with the commentary turned off. Even then many times I had to replay a punch 3 or 4 times to be certain if it landed or not. Watching at regular speed while listening to biased commentary gives you a zero percent chance of knowing who landed more and therefore, who won the fight. The only way to know who wins a given round, especially a close round, is to pay attention, count punches and leave your bias at home. You're guessing and biased, therefore your opinion is worthless. I like to know who really won the fight, so I take the time to count punches. Everyone is welcome to their opinion, but it's only an opinion.

@jdotman09 I agree completely. I think Bud has some chance against Canelo but it might come down to the judges. I don't see a KO, how about you?
1
@dwighthawkins3444 Madrimov would beat the hell out of all 3 of them in one night.
1
@dwighthawkins3444 Bud didn't hurt Madrimov once, how's he going to trade with Canelo?
1
@micaha.mooreii8670 He was confused with Madrimov's style. Nobody fights like Madrimov, it takes time trying to adapt.
1
@jasongreen7860 That thinking relates to a very close fight in which either could have won. A fight scored 6-6 for example, might be given to the champion because they reason that the challenger didn't 'take' the title from him. An even fight doesn't equal 'taking' the belt. However, it shouldn't apply if one guy has won more rounds, it's just a way of giving the champ the benefit of doubt in a nip and tuck kind of fight. I'm not saying I agree, that's just how I interpret the intent.
1
@mr.brightside6576 I knew more about boxing than you know before you were born. I didn't explain the details of how I score because everyone complains if I explain things in a long response. Don't imagine that you know more than I know, I know what I'm doing.
1
@johnniebucketz Who won the first 2 rounds?
1
@Jafithagreat Maybe you can point out all of the 3 piece combinations that Bud landed.
1
@mr.brightside6576 The first fight I listened to was Sonny Liston vs Cassius Clay, decades before you were born junior.
1
@Jafithagreat I watched it in .25 slow motion with the sound turned off. You watched it with bias and emotions apparently.
1
Which rounds did you give to Madrimov?
1
@cotman4 Yes, and you showcased your knowledge and it's not very good.
1
@Thatsong-fr9nq He didn't neutralize that straight right hand.
1
@mr.brightside6576 You're a strange person. If anyone said they counted punches, only you would think I counted the punches that didn't land cleanly. I know that you're just a kid but it's time to get a clue.
1
@sohanetwork3886 You claim Madrimov started late? Bud did nothing the first 6 rounds, was landing a few punches here and there. Madrimov was landing most of his and blocking most of Bud's.
1
@micaha.mooreii8670 It looks like he didn't try his hardest because Madrimov had him confused with his movement.
1
@adrianmitchell9819 Which 2 rounds did you give to Madrimov?
1
@johnniebucketz Which 3 rounds?
1
@dwighthawkins3444 Madrimov would beat all 3 of them.
1
@dwighthawkins3444 If Bud can't hurt him he'll be in some trouble.
1
@mr.brightside6576 If he landed more he wins the round dummy. A landed punch is clean effective punching.
1
@mr.brightside6576 You're biased and emotional, I'm neither.
1
@mr.brightside6576 About 30 years before you were born youngster.
1
@chreyzor It's unique, nobody has seen it before, it took Bud half the fight before he did anything, and it was too late by then.
1
@dwighthawkins3444 Who was hitting him, the referee? I know Bud wasn't landing much.
1
@isaspx1679 You're assuming I listened to 'unknown people', where did you get the idea that I listened to anyone? Andre Ward is not vulnerable to bias in favor of an American fighter, is that what you're saying? Madrimov's movement is nothing special? It's never been seen before, that alone makes it special. Madrimov was scared of Bud? That silly claim voids your opinion of the fight.
1
Commentators riding Valenzuela hard from the start. After 6 I have Cruz ahead 4-2. All the things they're giving Valenzuela credit for don't add up to punches landed, and so far Cruz is landing more in 4 of the first 6 rounds.
1
@emelianemone777 Gamboa nearly decked Bud.
1
@leekthacomedian3047 Bud never hurt Madrimov, how's he going to hurt Canelo?
