It does a disservice to them and the efforts they've made by being apologists for the people who never bother to assimilate. The very idea that you would ask your adult children to come visit you at your place of work and get in your manager's face about salary is preposterous. That woman should've either known enough English to handle the matter by herself, or she should've used Google translate. Sounds to me like she was having her kids stir up trouble, and did, which is why the manager got so angry (...which we don't see because the news report doesn't discuss what was said or done BEFORE the cell phone started recording).

  17.  @cuteshoesandbags8094  WRONG. First of all you know nothing about employment law. She's an "at-will" employee so legally she can be fired for virtually any reason. She can't sue her employer for wrongful termination. Second, there were witnesses at the restaurant who reported that the woman's children went there earlier in the day and were using aggressive language and making physical threats. The police had to come and remove them. They came back later in the afternoon after already having been trespassed. Use your common sense; people just don't flip out like this at the drop of a shoe. You didn't research the story. I did. The company initially backed the manager. They later caved after all these dumbasses on YouTube watched the sensationalized race-baiting story (as presented by the media) got angry. They bowed to political correctness and fired her because they were afraid of losing business. It had nothing to do with right vs. wrong, it was nothing more than a publicity stunt on their part. You have a nice day too.

So going by what they say isn’t “judging”, it’s called “getting all sides of the story”. However, this clownish news station (Fox News 13) should know better than to run a story like this without bothering to reach out to the manager for her side of the story. That's not only negligent, it's almost downright libelous. If I were the manager I would've sued or filed some type of complaint.

  37. Thank you! You're only the third person who realizes this. We’re only getting one side of the story here, as is TYPICAL with all these videos that go viral. All I see is a restaurant employee/manager getting angry and firing her employee. People get angry all the time, but they don't just get angry at the drop of a hat. WHERE’S THE REST OF THE VIDEO? WHAT HAPPENED RIGHT BEFORE ALL OF THIS? For all we know the people filming could’ve been screaming, insulting or even assaulting or threatening the woman BEFORE someone pulled their phone out of their pocket and hit the "record" button. If you came up to me on the street and insulted me, spat on me, and punched me you can be damn sure I’d react and retaliate. And it would be very easy to make me look like a deranged criminal if you recorded and uploaded only the part that showed me getting angry and fighting back. The fact that the news station didn’t bother to contact the woman to get her side of the story is such irresponsible journalism, that it borders on libel. If I were that woman I would've contacted an attorney and/or filed some type of complaint. But people are so stupid these days and we see this all the time with all of these people recording and uploading videos with police officers.

She didn’t even deny on camera that she promised a raise ...if you weren't so ignorant, you would realize that you don't see the whole video, just the parts that the woman's loser family want you to see.
