Apparently himar rockets were sent to damage the bridge crossing the dnipro river at Kherson. The damage is fairly superficial, but the bridge is the most straightforward route if Russian military vehicles were heading toward Odessa. Patrick Lancaster his resurfaced and posted a video showing the damage. The bridge was built by the Soviet Union, and Russia says they have already developed plans for how to repair the bridge. Range and throw weight for missiles tend to be an inverse relationship. If you want a long range missile, it's going to have a relatively small payload.

Who had the strongest army in Afghanistan?

Just when you think he can't fly further off the rails...

Was the 98 year old man a Canadian citizen prior to the start of the war or was he given amnesty to flee from the Nuremberg tribunals?

John Bolton is apparently writing the scripts now for president Brandon

RT is reporting over 6,000 Ukraine troops surrendering. It was not clear if it's just the current takeover of the city in dombas or whether it includes those captured in Mariupol. The Russian railway company is busy restoring the rail lines in eastern Ukraine
36
The sarcasm in today's report is neck-deep

I hope he didn't have his cell phone turned on while he was on the plane

Hey it worked on 9/11!

I can think of at least one situation in the United States where the debt of a company went into free fall because of a likely default. But the company had cash- so they bought up their own debt at a deep discount, and declared the difference to be profit, which made them have a very profitable quarter, albeit not from their operations. If Russia is as flush with wealth as we're led to believe, I'm thinking that Russia could work out an arrangement where the debt is transferred to a third party who won't get in trouble if they accept payment from Russia. Using the financial system as a political weapon is a lose-lose proposition.

The world economic Forum will control nothing, and we will be happy! 😁

Who is going to ethically clean Brussels?

I like how President Trump handed off the question to JD Vance to see how he handled a hot potato

I think it's even more accurate to say the world has changed in the last 60 years and he hasn't noticed

And the Navy base in Crimea has been there under Russian Control since 1783

The Polish general is talking about the Ukrainian population, not just military casualties

Does Ukraine have any runways?

It would be interesting if Russia figures out how to remotely wipe out the software of a drone while it is in flight.

The discovery of large amounts of natural gas around Cyprus will just push the issue of the unresolved invasion by Turkey to the front. At the same time, Turkey controls the access to the Black Sea. The current situation is laying the foundation for future generations regardless of the outcome.

That amanpour accent is flawless!
24
The guy from new Atlas gave him very detailed description because when he was in the military his job was to maintain Abrams tanks
23
Because Ukraine never converted its railroads to standard gauge used by the EU, that greatly complicates any kind of military intervention
23
The supply lines from France to Eastern Ukraine are quite long
23
And repair of the Nord Stream pipeline and return of the gazprom assets in the EU.

Sounds similar to recipients of the Rhodes Scholarships
22
Well it will lower the price of Canadian grain!
22
Even if they are NATO "mercenary" pilots, they won't accomplish anything because they lack an integrated defense and command system. They can't possibly reach eastern Ukraine. Midair refueling tankers would be a great big easy target for Russian defenses.
22
The United States is suddenly interested in following international law?

She wanted to smell his hair!

Using access to energy to choose winners and losers in your country sounds an awful lot like economic fascism

Maybe Elensky should be forced to play a game of Russian roulette

So much good news!

PBF operates a facility in New Jersey that imported Russian oil products called VGO that are necessary for distilling in the United States. New England has never broken its dependence on heating oil. About 8 million homes in the United States still use heating oil as their primary heating source, 85% of that in the Northeast. The bedrock near the surface in New England makes it difficult to bury gas pipes in the ground and the laws preventing high density residential neighborhoods make it economically impractical. and the price is getting insane. $4.25 is the spot price today (there is no transportation excise tax on heating oil). 1 gallon of number 2 fuel oil has roughly the same energy as 40 KW hours of electricity.

Apparently that French general forgot that it was Russia who saved them from being permanently occupied by Germany
19
It might be interesting to go into one of the grocery stores, look around and make small talk about prices and availability

Google and Microsoft should do something similar every time the EU demands that they control the business model. See how long the EU can stay afloat when all of their Microsoft software stops working and they no longer can search on Google
19
Wasn't that ad on Twitter the United States attempting to interfere with the democracy of a sovereign country?
19
The clutch is broken!

The fact that the explosions were so big they were recorded by seismographs indicates how big they must have been
18
So Castro Jr does not believe in democracy. That's the message that I heard
17
The new plan to provide passenger rail service from the Bronx to Penn Station in New York City has increased in price from $900 million to $3.1 Billion - and might be ready in 4 years
17
More than likely, they will have trouble getting spare parts, since the companies that made them were told it was an obsolete technology that was going away
17
The reason that Ukraine couldn't quickly attack heading east was because of the mud and the long distance they would have had to haul the tanks from the west, and the lack of air cover. As Alex pointed out at the time, sending tanks to Kiev pinned down the military resources to protect the capital that otherwise could have been sent to the East, while the Russians was busy staging their assets to protect the newly acquired Russian territory.
