  3. I was there in person, and I was so so happy to see our Non British brethren with their Tricolours standing side by side. I spoke to the group that came with the Coolock Says No banner, great lads, traveled up from the South for the day, and they were more than welcome. Personally, never seen that happen before, Union or Ulster Flag, alongside the Tricolour, flying, all for a common cause.

  7. @candy-le4nh  Well the people coming in are neither taigs or prods. Personally as a Protestant, we have many Catholics in East Belfast, they are no problem whatsoever, so what are you trying to say? We all get on. They see the same thing as everyone else, and they don't like it.

  10. ​ @zombinosh I live in east Belfast, at present, from what I can see, there appears to an ever increasing amount of African people about. I have a local primary school, in fact two of them, however, one is in the middle of a complete rebuild which eventually be able to accommodate the pupils from both, as the one presently open is catering for both, with a load of portacabins in what was the playground. However, my main point is, these African looking people are not housed altogether in one street or in one particular area. They are scattered around the many streets of the area. So at the moment at least they haven't turned it into some sort of ghetto, unlike in the other big cities of the UK. Can't speak for the other areas of Belfast as I don't venture often out of my area.

  18. ​ @dertery8724 In reality you are contacting them. Easier, just stop paying, let them do the running around. No point doing their job for them. Had a goon at the door a few months back, silly me actually opened the door, but I was coming down the stairs, and TBF I was expecting a parcel. He asked a few questions, I said who are you, he said I'm from TV licencing blah blah blah, I said no thanks, closed the door and put the kettle on. Job done.

  19. @tomvalentine4928  I used to watch TV years ago so I'm familiar with him, from MasterChef and another Programme called Inside the factory, I think it's called. It appears from what has been reported all over social media, a few hurty words have been said by him, nothing else thus far. So personally, it seems he is being crucified for that.

  25. ​ @rogerthatt7217 I understand what you are saying, however, the person who has the gun in their hands is responsible for it. It's basics with anyone who is holding a firearm, to check things. You certainly don't rely on others to tell you the state of that firearm, as in is it loaded etc. At minimum, if he wasn't already, he should of been trained in any safety aspects of the firearm used, be able to tell the difference between live or blank munitions, and his duty to check it, when taking charge of it.

  29. From the 1997 election things have gone down rapidly. Of course there were women in politics, even in major positions. However, Blair went overboard with women, he called them Blair's Babes, or rather that was the name for them.

  32.  @douglas_gemini  I would beg to differ. At some point they would of been checked out by the higher up military. After all they were on the payroll. When I went there, we inherited the interupters from the unit we replaced, so had to take them at face value. We had no say in the hiring of them, fired a few for being useless though. For the amount of troops we had in theatre during that time, at most we probably had a few thousand of them. If that, as most just carried on from unit to unit for every tour we all done.

The problem people now have is the sheer numbers year on year. Or concerned greatly. Years ago, they happily accepted manageable numbers coming, but now considered faaarr right for saying something about it.

Don't normally answer my door to strangers, but on this occasion, he was nicely told to FO, politely. That was about 6 months ago, they can call all they want, but in general I won't even open the door to them.

  41. He may be gobby, but that's exactly why he is liked with millions of normal everyday working class people. He comes across as one of us. Compare him to the ones in parliament with their plummy accents, who know nothing about the working class people, because they never had a real job in the real world.

  45. Only a few who were rioting were actually jailed. The majority, lie Peter Lynch wasn't involved in any disorder. He called the police scum, held a sign and was jailed. You have no evidence that he was motivated by racial hatred. His hatred was for the police and the establishment.

  50. @GustavoHeinlein  The 34% is from the numbers that actually voted, when all is considered, it equates to 20% or so of the population. Now we can debate the numbers etc, it doesn't matter, due to our voting system. One thing it proves, the country, whether they voted or not, didn't want Starlin and co.
