  1. I would define the Iowas as fast BBs, but the US Navy never trusted them. They used them only for coastal bombarding. The only US BBs involved really in a battle were South Dakota & Washington. In reality all US BBs were totally useless in WWII. We should share this viewpoint of the US admiralty.

But with a crew more than 2 days on action-station you need drugs to stay awake. The same counts for the slow WW2 planes. It makes no sense at all getting downed over the North-Sea by fatigue. And when Guderian demanded permanent refuel and attack from his panzer-crews this is even not to handle without drugs.

This story ended not in 1945, the French and the Dutch fought later on in Indochine and Oceania to defend their imperialism. Britain and France declared war on Germany, caused by the German invasion of Poland in 1939, which was ruled by a military dictatorship. Unfortunately Britain and France forgot to declare war on the Sovjetunion, the 2nd invader of Poland. The so called Blitzkrieg was no genius invention. Germany had only ammunition for 6 weeks to defeat Poland and to solve the local conflict.

Every military expert on the planet knows, there is no chance to win a symmetric war against the US. So we only consider asymmetric wars as a logical consequence. And the IQ in the US army (od Nato-state-armies) is very low, a big difference from the past in every western country. The Chinese or Russian officers staff is in this question quit superiour.

Trump had the only strategy to counter China, drawing the own production facilities back to the home-country, what means a nationalisation. US wars are very cost-intensive. Russia invested successfully only the 10th part in Syria in comparison to NATO. The Irak-wars brought nothing, only in the Kirkuk-region controlled by the Kurds is some oil-business for the US. We see more a counterproductive impact of these wars. Saddam was easy to control. Now the Shiits are in power. Honestly, this is more than stupidity. And if you look more back to the past. In Iran (1953) Mossadegh was kicked by the US and Britain, because he wanted a bigger share of the oil-money for his country. The US installed the Shah instead. He was in power for 27 years. But the Iranians had enough. The Shiits are now in power for more than 40 years. The decisive people in the US are really boneheaded. Ther are more examples, but i do not want to bore you.

There was no declaration of war against the Sovjetunion. You see your eyewashing?
