your vtec honda POVs are some of the best!
2
the best Si they ever did
2
its cuz the q7 is on an older platform and its an "in-between" size between x5 and x7 audi doesn't have a proper x7 fighter yet but there's rumors of a q9
2
thoughts on the cx90 phev?
2
j series ftw
2
its becasue the people at honda and acura are different at this point. Acura is led by americans who priortize different things than mainline honda, which is still very Japanese in its values. Its also how the Integra has a much better infotainment and more space inside than the TLX, despite the integra being a smaller class of car- teh TLX is designed for america , the integra is a reskin of the civic that was tested in Japan
2
two very different vehicles for different crowds of people
2
remember when $8k more than a base wrx bought an STi?
2
whats really funny is that during the worst of the covid shortages you could get the Integra A spec 6mt for LESS than what the honda dealers wanted for the Si. I suppose that may still be the case for some people
2
just change the wheels...?
1
@davewilson7602 small price to pay for complaining about wheels 🤷♀️
1
give it like 2 years and these will also be half price
1
bmw doesnt use that slogan anymore because its customers care more about interior lighting in the xM more than the driving experience of an m3 or anything for that matter
1
@qb4ever3k that is true, but i still think seeing is hybrid hatchbacks in sport touring trim especially, wont be as common
1
yeah but the x5 still gets way better mpg, and that's not considering the PHEV option the x5 has if you drive a big SUV daily your fuel costs add up quickly , and that means more time at the pump too
1
@deviouslaw I would agree but people rolling around in $70k+ SUVs often aren't smartest
1
which ones did you have?
1
put the fuse back in?
1
probably my favorite honda color ever miss old hondas like these
1
its $23k lol what did you expect, the GLi is for the 2.0t this is for value
1
its literally just a wing and if you're upset about people looking inside your car consider getting at tint
1
which is why even in Japan, reviewers complained about stiffness, right? @1anre
1
@theobsession2581 take a 23 Pilot and chop off some of the rear hahah but given how much more upscale the pilot is now that should be a good thing, and the trailsport actually means somethign now
1
consider the following: integra type s
1
if it wasnt for the recession+2011 earthquake+euro 6 we would still have screamer type Rs from Honda..
1
the fastest car topher has driven
1
@ZenzDeluxe and he still loves the civics more lol
1
@30hours51 how often are you driving on the Nurburgring and hard enough to do that on a car?
1
@anthonyfrolio987 latest M3P highland seems to do fine... but now we care beyond straight line acceleration too huh. also in 7-10 years the Golf will depreciate considerably, if its still on the road by then.
1
@DeadofWinter321 some of us value the car lasting more than 5 years than fancy gauge screens but you do you. Also doesnt help the cheaper hyundais are also easy to steal and the company does jack shit about it either
1
@DeadofWinter321 yeah after they got sued to oblivion. Also i hear more about Hyundais and kias blowing up than lasting. Happens to friends of mine
1
thats just your opinion
1
same, if i cant see out of the car id feel uncomfortable driving it daily
1
the original ZDX was the right car for the wrong era. if they sold it today it would have sold more than in the recession era economy since ugly impractical SUV "coupes" are all the rage among rich people @weirdshibainu
1
it looks fine you dont buy a 740hp mclaren for how the interior feels, though its still better than any indian car
1
@ZACH_95_ right for this much money they can buy a Minivan or a Honda Pilot and have a real bmw sports car! 2 cars for the price of one
1
@j.a.g.8689 the nismo is like $66k LOL
1
@BboyMobster i hope for 12th gen once the type r goes hybrid the si FINALLY gets the 2.0t price creep for the SI means its already above $30k, and dangerously close to the EN. might as well give it the power to compete
1
usable back seats, trunk space (its a 4 door liftback), nicer interior, stereo, you can see out of it. they cost about the same but the appeal to two very different people
1
show me a 4 door camaro with a nice interior, hatch, and usable visibility that also doesn't suck to drive. I'll wait. Again, they appeal to different buyers. @FL50ssp
1
@GS-zc4sk the k20c4 in the 3rd gen is better
1
the 682 hp luxury condo
1
@wtfx5757 Mikstore sells a rear ac vent+usb port kit. a bunch of people have done it to the type r already.
1
@Tr1pMind thanks but if I wanted a lifted Mitsu, id save some cash and invest in a Montero lol. The awd system is cool i guess, but is that really going to woo someone over a better interior equipped Hyundai, let alone a Toyota if they have the cash to spend? Let's face it l, there's no real merit to owning this for the normie consumer aside from it being cheaper. Also, I actually would rather have the Prius, probably would hold up better than this
1
ps4s are never known for being quiet tires and the type r has never known for being a quiet chassis. in fact most hondas are known for their tire noise on the highway lol @b286guy
1
this is the lightest car in its class lol, for comparison, the Focus ST with less power weighs 3200+lbs styling is subjective, i personally love it as for N/A, high revving 4 cylinders in compact cars are dead, blame emissions, and fuel economy regulations also Honda has been making Turbo cars since the 80s, it would be inevitable for them to move onto turbo cars for Type R to keep up with the competition, which is all turbocharged, and surpass it
1
@MrCarGuy they have to make compromises for usabilty and performance while still keeping the car on a budget that can appeal to a wider demographic the 10th gen Civic is noted for how spacious it is and the amenties it offers while being lighter than the 9th gen while Honda could make a bespoke NA high revving engine, the development costs would have been too great most likely, as this K20C1 is also the basis for other K20Cx turbo engines powering Honda and Acura products also a high revving NA engine would be great on the track and sound nice, but it would be gutless for daily driving which is where most of these will end up; also the competition is turbocharged, which makes it harder for honda to just make an engine that can surpass the performance they offer yet still be suitable for a Civic in 2019 the car also weighs "so much" because it has to meet modern crash safety, and also still provide amenties that other cars in this segment provide in short, if you want an NA Spirited Civic thats not this aggressive, get the 2.0l Sport which has the NA K20 still and optional 6 speed manual or get an 8th gen Civic SI or Type R lol
1
@MrCarGuy The Miata and BRZ can make do with those engines because they're designed as sports cars from the ground up, and not needing to be based off or share a majority of parts with a base model economy car or SUVs those cars also don't have to conform to desires of the average consumer, nor do they have to worry about beating records set by the competition while still seating 4 people comfortably and still having a boot while I personally do want Honda to make an improved K20A and stuff in a roadcar, the recession, the 9th gen Si, and everything after killed off any hopes of that but hey, if the 86 or ND meet your needs, go for it
1
can't wait for the integra type S! and for both of you guys to cover them!
1
are you sure thats not the tires? @jujharsingh4458
