Now where talking!
1
I noticed that yesterday. I wasnt sure what was going on. But its not just the music stuff. Its everywhere.
1
Just listened to this one a couple hours ago. Perfect timing. Such a great song.
1
The better comparison for Oasis is The Stone Roses. They were their motivation and you can hear a bit of them but they’ve taken it in a little different direction.
1
Never thought I'd see this combo.
1
First thing that comes to my mind is Queen. Pretty much most of there catalogue.
1
Its not really up for debate that Kelly is the best singer that's ever come out of the show.
1
Wheres the Police? Walking on the moon?
1
Do you think that was a producer or note from the label for him to sing like Anthiny Kiedis? Or was th e previous vocalists for FNM similar?
1
Yea the solo is defiantly Cliff. I don’t know how to put it into words but you hear that line in many of his bass parts in other songs.
1
One thing you left out is the American Idol factor. Became much easier for labels to sign some kid off a tv show with a built in following that they could feed to the same song writers & they wouldnt be in a position to argue. As soon as they faded there was another to take their place.
1
Closing in in episode 100. Gotta do something big. Maybe do a comparison of some songs you’ve done and show the similarities or how they used a similar idea but did something different with it.
1
The Kurt Cobain one wasn't convincing to me at all.
1
Shout out to your mom laying down the rhythm track. That’s so cool. Very jealous.
1
Psyched you gave. Vinnie Moore a shout out. So underrated.
1
Where's Steel Panther's Pussywhipped?
1
Oasis should be way higher. Where's The Stone Roses?
1
John Demetre spyder is a big miss
1
Its all Rhet's fault. lol
1
Because you're a gentlemen and a scholar.
1
ktx49 I could say the same for Led Zeplin. Does nothing for me.
1
I've been studying Japanese for a year and a half and yes it's super hard. But if you put in the work you'll get it. Like anything, you have to do the work. It's hard to play the guitar. But if you make a real effort you will.
1
Really moving video Rick. I'm glad you were able to put your thoughts down and make this tribute to your friend so we could all share a little part of his life.
1
I see comments on loads of YouTube videos of people being blown away by how great this and that singer performed and its so clearly lip singing or at the very least the vocalist singing over a track and the track is almost twice as loud and they can't tell at all.
1
Just want to say that cat has got some pipes.
1
Hahahahaha
1
I know. Just casually name drops EJ. lol
1
That keyboard part was really interesting. I never noticed it before because I'm always so focused on the guitar. On its own youd never mate it to VH in a million years. lol Cool how he melded those together
1
Not of this earth was Satch’s first album not Surfing.
1
But that's part of the live experience. Things going wrong. We can't expect Queensryche to tour with an orchestra.
1
Aaron Intervals, I'm in.
1
Great video. Love the in depth vids like this one.
1
If you want to be able to do all down stokes you have to make a growl face while you do it. Lol
1
I just don't like any of these singers. I don't know how tomexplain why. They all sound the same to me I guess.
1
What makes this song great isn’t gets played at every Detroit Redwings home win. Gives me chills every time. And Neal Schon is one of the 3 guitarists that made me want to play.
1
@dunkelztork7483 is Mozart in the top 40?
1
@Orion-ve7kk that's a very small number of people worldwide.
1
@Idkgivemeideass define a lot. Because I would define that as a minority. That's what we're talking about. Popular music. What's popular. Not that literally no single person listens to them.
1
@nobodycares-q9o you're deluded. I'm 52 and very few people I went to school with I the 80s even listened to them. Rick even did a video where he talked about his own kids don't like older music.
1
@VictoriaClerici define a lot. A lot of people listen to Taylor. A lot of people don't listen to the beatles. If they did they'd be on top 40 lists. They aren't. A small minority of people listen to them. Like a small minority of people listen to Jazz, funk etc...
1
@brucetucker4847 some people. Like some people listen to jazz. Some people isn't a lot of people. And they won't be more popular than whoever the popular singers are 30 years from now.
1
@nobodycares-q9o cool story. You're 1 person. We're not talking about what 1 random person listens to or doesn't listen to. We're talking about what's popular. Are the beatles I the top 40 now? No. If loads of people were listening to them they would be.
1
@bob_b9349 how many records do they sell compared to Swift? Not a lot. A lot of people listen to BlackPink etc.. You're definition of "a lot" isn't a good metric.
1
@marguskiis7711 what's your point? That's 2 people. Is that a lot? Does that make the beatles more popular than Taylow Swift?
1
@kenzosuz what's this got to do with anything? The article is about Swift being more popular. The backstreet boys were more popular when they were big. Literally, every group in the last 50 years has been more popular than the Beatles. This whole thing is so silly and bizarre.
1
@songbird9978 3
1
@songbird9978 when's the last time they were in the top 40? How many y new fans do you think they're adding? 3, 100, 1,000? That's not a lot. Every year they're less popular than the year before.
