Am at the point where I have to decide between covering my transportation cost or having enough food to eat more than once every 2 days, This is a war for profit, between Russian capitalists and Ukrainian capitalists, the Ukrainian people lose regardless of whether Zelensky or Putin win. I had to watch my friends get burned alive in 2014 by very real fascists affiliated with the Ukrainian ultranationalist group right sektor, who were also complicit in the 2014 coup. For these reasons, I cannot in good conscience support Ukraine.

in the last 7 years all the US and NATO had to do to ensure peace and prevent the outbreak of war was to threaten Ukraine into adhering to the Minsk agreement and ending its offensives in donbass, they didnt do that, they encouraged more bloodshed.

Yeah, and Ukraine cutting of the supply of drinking water to the Crimean populace was also in violation of article 3 of the Geneva Convention, as such an internationally recognized crime committed by Ukraine against both Russia and its own citizens that live on the peninsula. That needs to be addressed as well, Ukraine needs to recognize Donetsk and Lugansk as autonomous republics to the same degree that Mexico recognizes the EZLN in Chiapas. And either Ukraine has to agree to not be joining NATO or Russia should be given a free hand to rebuild its military installations in Cuba.

@MrBell-iq3sm even if Ukraine managed to win the conflict, they're going to spend the next century enduring crippling austerity while trying to pay of debts to the EU, NATO, and let's not forget Uncle Sam, politically their reputation will be that of a western puppet regime, Russia will likely collapse into revolution as the Communist regain control from a clearly failed capitalist experiment that's only created corruption and conflict since 1991.

They were attacked when Poroshenko started the "Anti-terrorist campaign" in 2014 after an armed coup overthrew the elected government of Victor Yanukovich, this coup was funded directly by Victoria nuland to the sum of 5 billion dollars. If I gave 5 billion dollars to patriot prayer and aryan nation to overthrow the US government, I'm complicit in a coup. That's how it works, and it goes both ways. It was a fuggin coup.

@Ryanowning i believe your refering to the term conflict, nominally war is proceeded by a formal declaration of hostilities, thus is why FDR said the attack on pearl harbor was so infamous, as it was a surprise with no declaration of hostilities given.

@dice3809 yes it was, for fuggin years they stopped the donbas from retaliating against Ukrianian strikes, the citizens of had armed themselves in response to aggression from kiev following the coup that they did not support, russian interest in intervening was grindingly slow, when the militias formed in Donetsk and Lugansk they werent being armed by russians, they had 40-70 year old arms leftover from soviet stockpiles and police stations, they were driving T-34/85's off of WW2 memorials and into battle against modern Ukrainian armor. These militia's did not start receiving more modern russian arms until after they had already routed the Ukrainian offensive at Debaltslavo, so please do no spoonfeed me bullshite, and have lovely day.

Financial intervention is still intervention, the same can be said with military equipment and weapons, to the same degree that Americans downplay the eastern front in the second world war by saying that the only reason the USSR defeated the fascist was because of western aid, even though no american or british forces actually fought on the eastern front, that the west still considers a crucial intervention, the case is the same now, the west bears a great deal of responsibility for the current conflict in Ukraine, as I'd does in Lybia, Afghanistan, Syria, Iraq, Nicuragua, Colombia, Venezuela, as it had neared responsibility for dozens of bloody conflicts going back to the war in Korea.

So far they have prioritized minimizing civilian casualties over taking ground and beating the Ukrainian Army, so...not saying it's a moral option, but the steamroller is an option..

And when will we get a tribunal for the Odessa massacre?, or any investigation into the Ukrainian armed forces from using civilian centers to hide military vehicles and weapons? Or is there an award in Ukraine for burning civilians alive and endangering countless more to protect military equipment while being able to blame russia for any collateral damage, given Ukraine's modis operandi I'm assuming the awards are iron crosses?

@Arch497 theyve already lost, even with improved material support they no longer have the manpower to hold Russia back, because of this Russia has been advancing on all fronts for two months, there just arent enough men left to plug the gaps, so they have to keep shortening they're lines by ceding ground to the Russians who are only getting stronger as more of its allies directly join the conflict.
