Chris when is your deth metal album dropping?
2
I still say it was not that good of an event merely an excuse of plot armor to bring back a character that everyone liked It has been much more impactful if they had his brother just come by himself to get revenge or Maul and his story could have explored more in flash backs to the past or episodes set in the past
2
If Lucas film wants a billion dollar movie all they have to do is film the entire process of Kathleen Kennedy being fired From the announcement, to her packing up and being escorted out the building They could sell tickets for 99¢ each and it would make a billion dollars easy
1
The plot of this movie makes no sense in his really hard to follow I'm really not surprised Brie Larson decided to go combative cuz she wanted her name in the spotlight but anyone else's when she started to reprise this character But it looks like Brie Larson has burned more bridges than anything and no one is coming up to bat for her anymore she's effectively been replaced and I guarantee you this will be the last time she ever plays this character as the studio has already shown that they can recast Brie Larson into the mold of Miss Marvel
1
Wow that was brutal 🤣
1
I never thought I'd reached the point where I dislike Indiana Jones and Harrison Ford literal icons of the 80s now being treated with such contempt
1
So glad that this guy drinker will be making his own movie just to battle against the horrendous neverending shoddy creative writing
1
Tbh I'm not sure if ahsoka is even that popular outside of her debut back in the 2008 animation She's more liked when she's in that animation CGI style trying to take that and translate it to live action isn't that good of a process especially with all these actors saying nonsense every 5 minutes and causing the audience the reject their take on the character
1
This is as bad as when that actor playing Master Chief whining about how he needed to have his face be shown
1
A fan was able to convey more emotional experiences in 10 minutes than Hollywood was able to do despite the last 10 years
1
Avatar 2: the Noble Savage trope continues
1
I will say that it would be very poetic if Disney failed because of this new Snow White As they ultimately began their decades of success with Snow White over 80 years ago
1
Yeah shes got wrongful termination in addition to the defamation California state law doesn't allow for at will employment
1
This is the only movie I am looking forward to this year not even Deadpool and Wolverine interests me now
1
Man I can't believe Cate blanchett just threw her reputation down the toilet Yeah she's great at acting there's no problem to that but even when you're good at acting the projects you associate with become part of your legacy ask Sean Connery he never did a movie after 2003 because of how bad the League of extraordinary gentlemen was
1
I disagree a lot of his criticisms were well on point the movie is entertaining but it's not going to be a classic that will come back to and enjoy years from now Kinda like Spider-Man 3 in 2007 😂 that movie was just as much as "entertaining" but terribly written
1
Much like how they ruined Master Chief during that live halo adaptation 😂 All because the actor was so vain and whiny he needed his face shown
1
Hey! 😂 Don't do Phantom Menace dirty like that drinker
1
I agree on nearly all accounts drinker except for your revenge of the sith one yeah there was heavy use of CGI but that was an actual pretty good job use of the CGI because at that point it was still George Lucas directing it and he did a very well done job you can't deny that fight scene and all the CGI behind it is legendary George Lucas did a great job and actually was creating sets and pop pieces for the scene he even actually went to an actual volcano that was erupting and got the footage of it to be later put into the cut So yes there is CGI but it's blended in very nicely in the entire action scene
1
Well now Daisy Ridley basically has no protection she is allowed to be criticized on all fronts
1
I just hope Rachel zegler is blacklisted and never works in the American market of Cinema ever again she can go international she can work in any other movie market
1
So sad this is the apex of creativity for the mainstream of pop culture I give it a raised beer 🍻 in salute but I just feel utterly disappointed for the new coming generations, As it will be harder and harder for them to find older quality creative works as they keep getting fed metaphorically grade F meat gruel: (Rings of Power, The Marvels, The Flash, Velma, High Guardian Spice, etc. ) Forced to eat it over and over and to be later conditioned to eat it willingly and say "thank you may I have another"
1
I'm not going to watch any superhero movies because I grew bored of them really quick in 2009 Repetitive plots, but repetitive stakes, repetitive tropes Still it's perfectly fine to tell a very well rounded story even if it is tropey in cliche there's a time to push the envelope and there's a time to be set in stone And you can enjoy a film even when it is predictable
1
I don't, at least after her Marvel movie debut because after that everything went to her head and she became very arrogant and unlikeable You can clearly tell there's a difference in her older movies that she was a little rough around the edges in her style of acting but at least she was humble enough to thank everyone around her and not let success or the ideas of success overcome the niceties we expect out of people Sadly ever since her debut and Marvel movies yeah she is changed and not for the better
1
@Ssm19494 I don't consider Oscar wins anything anymore and the majority of people don't seem to either but I definitely agree with you she had a very wooden acting style but she was polishing it and I will agree she was definitely getting better prior to marvel but yeah ever since she got the news that she was going to be the new face of Marvel that differently went to her head, and she threw all semblance of humility out the window And it has hurt her overall development as both a person and as well as her chosen profession of acting
1
It isn't that well liked either reminds me of a certain magical "healer" cube
1
🎶Here we go again🎶 🎶She'll break my heart again🎶 🎶I'll play the fool again🎶 🎶One more time 🎶 - Ray Charles
1
Damn Russell Crowe got fat in the face 🤣 Still a good actor though I'll go see his priest movie
1
This was a good video but I swear critical drinker and his mispronunciation of the word Nissan was just too much I couldn't take it I was laughing so hard
1
"Cast it into the fire! Destroy it!" No... "Amazon!" 😡
1
So much for the meme: Filoni was taught well 🤣
1
Thank God i hope this girl boss trope plummets in popularity and becomes as ded as the arrow in the knee meme from Skyrim
1
Please someone make a comic of this!
1
No he's not because he goes through both physical and mental pain he doesn't magically succeed at everything on his first try and he suffers severe physical disabilities as a result from being a complete amputee
1
Wow way to ruin Val kilmer and not honor him or his legacy man top gun Maverick did a much better job at honoring Val kilmer as both of the actor and as a person this is just sad I'm ashamed of this new Willow
1
Hell DreamWorks started as a result of Disney being a scumbag company and they wanted to showcase their own stories And they have made some of the greats in animation ever since they formed in the early 1990s From Shrek, to Kung Fu Panda, to How to Train your Dragon, Madagascar, and so on It will be interesting if DW can continue this trend that DreamWorks started over 30 years ago
1
Who would have thought that an alcohol loving Scotsman would be more respectable than 90% of the current movie stars
1
Yeah I saw Top gun Maverick at least 3 times in the theater it was that good
1
Sure its good but I'm sadly just done with anything superhero and Marvel DC comics related for a very long time I've been watching, reading, playing the video games of this stuff for over 35 years now I need a long break So I will never watch this I'm am just so burnt out
1
Brie Larson needs to just never work in a creative industry ever again She can do something else and be amazing at it like be an accountant, an engineer, a teacher, or hell even a regional manager for a distribution center But acting? No
1
Man it's really interesting that Disney is showing disrespect to the one movie that saved the company from bankruptcy back then A full length featured animated film was unheard-of at the time an everyone doubted Disney and told him he should abandon it yet he persisted and took the risk and it payed off for generations down the road
1
I am so glad that critical drinker is reviewing this movie! It was amazing!!!! By far the best movie of 2022!!!!
1
Lol drinker you just missed it apparently this movie is now considered "racist" and BLUE face 😂🤣 Apparently you can't have anyone except black folks play BLUE aliens
1
@clementj Wow that is just pathetic they actually did one an an ancient civilization black female leader and they botched it 🤦 how hard is it to FUKIN RESEARCH?! My god these people want to put in the least amount of effort as possible and yet reap all the maximum rewards, I mean I guess I can't be surprised the Woman King was just as bad as this Cleopatra thing But they did the same thing then as they doing now
1
@MagcargoMan the first one was good the second one fits that run if the mill pretty accurately But yeah if you want to tell a story of an African Kingdom specifically in Egypt it's there you just need to do the research and the work
1
@MagcargoMan Nah not if it done correctly and didn't attempt to rewrite or remove the negative aspects of history, unlike Woman King which was desperately trying to hide away all the horrible things that Kingdom was known for
1
@krystalccameron7689 nah you know what I mean lol 🤣 BP1 is just a feel good marvel flick it's not a well researched and nuanced story about a historical African Kingdom But it does take a little bit of surface level inspiration from that, Wakanda is an obvious naming reference to the historical secret gold mines of Wangara as that was the source of Mansa Musa's wealth and that reference is even further reenforced when Wakanda is depicted as the richest nation What I mean to say is there is a willing audience for a historical movie or even a feel good story (BP1) set in Africa and completely told from the African perspective
1
James Cameron: "I'm Blue da ba Dee da ba die"
1
Hey drinker can we get an update on your own movie that you are making? We haven't heard a thing in a good while
