  1. I don't think anything by Cameron will "bomb" but yeah artistically avatar was not his best the story was bland but hey if a bland story is what it takes to be a financial success then what will you focus on?

  3. I don't care if it's "excellent" I'm done with the entirety of the franchise game of thrones and the book series "A song of ice and fire" The first book came out in freaking 1991! I read it and liked it when it first came out but it's been over 30 freaking years and it's still not done! And instead the story is going in reverse and they're telling a prequel! 🤦 George Martin is already pretty high up there in age and he doesn't lead a very healthy lifestyle, nor does he have a focused work ethic. I'm pretty sure he's going to kick the bucket if not in the next 10 years, then the next 20 years before his story will ever be finished so I am just giving up on him and his universe

It's weird because there are Nubian and Kushite Pharos of Egypt that they could have told the story about in actual Egyptian history But NOOOOOOOOOO they won't even tell their own story of Africa and it's people they need to tell the story of already existing and established stories with now a darker complexion because "muh feelings"

I've never really wanted art to fail but James Cameron he's gone really far off the deep end and I think if this did fail it would finally bring some reality back into him Look James Cameron you've never had a single flop in your career but if you did it would force you to be a little humble I mean Steven Spielberg was forcibly humbled when War of the worlds was a flop

  14.  @jacob4920  nah mate they got other franchises that stood in their own they did a good job as well with Madagascar when it debuted in 2005 Spawning 3 movies, a TV show starring the penguins and even getting the penguins their own spinoff movie in 2014 And you got to admit a DreamWorks IP that is not Shrek lasting from 2005 to 2014 is damn good

  16. I got to admit I was very surprised the movie was going to be not too bad because normally when Hollywood runs out of ideas and reboots a 40-year-old franchise it's terrible But this was a breath of fresh air I must admit

I'm just really happy that Disney and DreamWorks got shown up by 3 million dollar movie out of nowhere and took best animated picture meanwhile the TG film all about what it's like to be TG and how hard it is and The wizard of Oz film Wicked that had an actress so thin-skinned she couldn't stand a poster that had her face obscured barely got anything Wicked won like best costume and the TG film Amelia Perez I think it's called one like best screenplay or something

Even though everyone throws shade at the Hayden Christensen for this performance in episode 2 and 3 Such as the infamous "Sand" line Understand that he was supposed to be written as an awkward teenager at the time and a rebellious arrogant young man struggling with authority in both cases And I think Hayden did a great job at showing that

  37.  @MS-sb9ov  yes there's pros and cons to at-will employment States Personally I much prefer them because it's easiest to let go of troublesome or unproductive employees if you are a business owner As you don't need to hire legal services to go through an employment contract with a fine tooth comb And at the same time as an employee you can leave a business at anytime for any reason and you don't suffer any penalty as a result of it So those are the Pros The cons are a bit more obvious, if a business feels but doesn't have concrete proof of any misconduct they can indeed let you go at the drop of a hat And also it's much harder for an employee to prove to the court system of wrongful termination in an At-will state

  42. yeah he can use CGI well enough but his story writing skills are terrible the first avatar which even drinker talks about himself is seen as a "successful failure" Where the protagonist of the story ends up even betraying humanity all to get some native pooty, he didn't even do his job which was to engage in talks and discussion with the natives and begin to negotiate for goods and services in exchange for the Ore they were mining And also the dumbass idea that a native species could have unlimited godly plot armour to soundly defeat a civilization what already has mastered the art of interstellar travel and has access to the orbital bombardment strategy of warfare

Yeah very much don't like the concept of alternate universes parallel dimensions and time travel when it comes to storytelling Its very rare that any of those are executed well enough to help tell the story More often they detract from it by eliminating any and all stakes or urgency Why does it matter if the hero is successful when there's a convenient "what if" ready to undo everything
