This is pretty big as Israel hasn't officially declared war since 1983

Was not expecting both a South rise again joke and a reference for the King Cotton policy of 1800s revamped for the modern day and the international markets 😅 Great video

Canada has sadly long cozied up to the separatist movement of the Sikhs for a very long time spanning decades much to the annoyance of India Even accepting the Canadian citizenship of former violent members of the movement that had criminal pasts or suspected of such in India And this is despite Canada who once had their own separatist movement they violently had to put down, Quebec Which you don't see India trying to champion the cause of the Quebecois What India did was wrong but it does have an explanation, if only the idiotic of the Trudeau family could have recognized this fact. Because the cozying of the Sikhs and their separatists cause even goes back to Justin Trudeau's father

As long as you continue to get supplies from NATO members Ukraine will continue to put up a fight Once NATO or the majority of United States and its allies back off their support to Ukraine, Ukraine is going to have a much harder time staying a nation on the map
26
you just stumbled upon a common saying it's called "the generals are always fighting the last war"
20
He's been doing this for a long time. He even once worked for the Private intelligence gathering agency that Hungarian-American geopolitical analyst George Friedman founded So he's perfected his skills
17
@cSwDamian politics does work that way and it's the reason why NATO at-large has recognized that they stand to benefit by supporting Ukraine Keep in mind they're not supporting Ukraine because of humanitarian or moral reasons but instead by reasons of mutual benefit and geopolitics
17
They tried so hard and got so far But in the end it doesn't even matter
15
The defeat in Ukraine would mean that NATO now physically borders Russia it would mean that aggressive military action to remove a nation from existing is allowed by the international community, and would be looked as inspiration for many other nations who want territory China and Taiwan, China and India, China and Bhutan, Ethiopia and Eritrea, Ethiopia and Egypt, Morocco and Algeria It would also mean then a lot of nations would lose faith in the ability to be protected by fellow NATO members and would likely seek alternatives

Plot twist: "the debt ceiling" is just the name for the horrible death metal album that congress has recorded and set to release to the public but they keep adjusting the release date to hide their shame

As I've said many times in the past I'm not too concerned about nuclear weapons being used in warfare I'm more concerned about nuclear weapons being proliferated around the world because they're the only means of preventing conventional military strikes in your country And as a result of everyone getting them the chances of accidental detonation increase such as the 1961 Goldsboro incident in the US Information declassified in 2013 showed that one of the bombs came close to detonating, with three of the four required triggering mechanisms having activated "Until my death I will never forget hearing my sergeant say, "Lieutenant, we found the arm/safe switch." And I said, "Great." He said, "Not great. It's on arm."

He's just missing planes flying overhead

There actually is a precedent to this Not with the Mormons being recruited as spies by the military but the Mormons actually did find themselves in high demand by the US military for certain extremely high skill positions such as running military hospitals and field surgeons during the Vietnam war
8
@secretname4190 but the EU has to be unanimous to accept new members just like NATO and you can imagine that certain Nations that also have secession movements Like Spain, and their problem child of Catalonia, would be very hesitant to welcome in a new member

Maybe now sure but in the past ever since Indira Gandhi in they were formally allied with the USSR Indira Gandhi made the switch from the non-aligned nations, which India had been a part of since the 1950s, to the Soviet Union during her tenure in the 70s and looking back at the 70s political climate in India it made sense at the time Because the 70s were a chaotic time in India, with the Pakistanis (who were an ally of the United States at the time) doing war crimes in Bangladesh and India sending in their own military forces to stop the Pakistanis which caused the Pakistanis to ask for the US to intervene which the US almost did, they sent task force 74 into Indian waters as a means to flex, although "officially "they were there to enforce the ceasefire and assist the Pakistani withdrawal from Bangladesh And not only that but the US and their inconsistent policy regarding Kashmir and Arunachal Pradesh left a nasty taste in the many mouths of the Indian government As a result of that the Indians stayed with the soviets right up until 1991 and the fall of the Soviet Union And it's that legacy of Soviet-Indian alliance still persists in the modern day which is what Peter said is why the US government can't ever formally ally with India they can only ever partner in some issues

Same thing with the javelin and stinger missiles just SHREDDED through the Russian forces 😳
5
I caution doing business with Cuba because we already fell for a similar trap Where of doing business with the Chinese will cause them to ultimately abandon their authoritarian regime and communist government, which never happened There's no reason to repeat the same mistake again
5
@Danielle_1234 then he ain't leaving then ain't he? So don't sensationalize and post clickbaits titles in the in the thumbnail of your freaking video It's dishonest
5
Poltava is what he's referring to most likely yeah Sweden took such a pounding from that and I know that it's an over used joke from WW2 yada yada yada but this time it's actually relevant the invading Swedes didn't plan well for the Russian winter as they launched the offensive to both invade Russia and capture Moscow in the fall, and the Russians do what they do best: scorched earth and hit and run tactics as the invading enemy suffers from the weather And it was BAD! 1708-1709 was one of the coldest winters ever recorded at the time, they were severely weakened as a result and when spring finally came the Russian army met the Swedes at Poltava and defeated them quite soundly they never again were the dominant power of northern Europe, instead Russia took that title and held onto it from the 18th 19th and 20th centuries
5
The Vatican actually doesn't really play that big of a role in geopolitics anymore The rising numbers of atheism and non catholic led faith groups have significantly risen than they were back in the day
5
I too will be cautiously optimistic, I want Mexico to improve but my god to be so infatuated with the previous administration you willingly let him rule through you? Then what is even the point of welcoming the "first woman" in the head of state position to Mexico? If she is going to be successful she will have to draw some lines in the sand and not let Amlo step over them
5
Peter secretly for the New Zealand tourism board 😂 I mean damn that there is so picturesque
5
It's a lot harder to get people to agree to policy when the population of the country is 30 times that of Denmark
5
I recommend a great 3 series of videos by the YouTuber Kraut for a nice introduction on Turkey They are a little long though about an hour each but they are such well made
4
Yeah we even gave them stinger missiles back in the beginning stages of the war we don't even make stinger missiles anymore we haven't been since 2011 and even those are considered last generation but to the Ukrainians they are "high tech" and doing amazing damage to the Russian forces 😳
4
@bwarre2884 trust me India received a lot of condemnation from their own citizenry and abroad when they fired upon the Golden Temple of the Sikhs with military artillery And they had a race riot in the style of Rodney King afterwards where violence against Sikhs was justified in the eyes of many Indians because the Sikhs assassinated the Indian prime minister for vengeance to the Golden Temple It was a messy period and the unwanted ghosts of that sadly still haunt Indians and Sikhs to this day even though the 1980s was 50 years ago

Pretty sure the rail segment of the bridge is not repaired yet
4
Bro Aussie already smart enough to move voting day to a freaking Saturday versus a Tuesday as it is in the United States you guys already doing better than US
4
That's true but it looks like it's still worked I'm not going to weigh in because I'm not Scottish so it's not my decision to make but it looks like it can be done
4
I bet that ship that registered in the foreign country to avoid US taxes is wishing they didn't register in that country now 🤣
4
@Chris-ji4iu I also think that you might have some opposition from Environmental groups, they might argue that increase river shipping traffic would lead to some manner of increased river pollution 🤷
3
Peter looks funny wearing those Ozzy Osbourne glasses 😅
3
@thomassalvi2104 while I may not agree with what you said I'll defend to the death your right to say it
3
Well there is an interview from a PLA Air force officer who defected to the US named Yao Cheng He gave an interview with Radio Free Asia on January 8th this year, and he did discuss how they would drain fuel and use it to cook with Is that a good enough source?
3
the Switzerland is finally starting to question its historical neutrality and see that it no longer needs it it's starting to recognize that it's surrounded on all sides by NATO and NATO will never allow a hostile force to push through their territory in an effort to conquer Switzerland so Switzerland doesn't need its neutrality to secure its own borders anymore NATO will already do that for it Switzerland also recognizing that it's neutrality is more often than not abused by authoritarian regimes to gain access to the wider Western world and they're hoping to clamp down on that and slowly they are starting to do so as they have participated in international economic penalties on the Russians for their misbehavior in Ukraine
3
I just hope you Finns don't make the cultural and social mistakes that Sweden did, a once peaceful place now suffering from gang warfare
3
Im not going to cry for Navalny, he to his dying breath supported the Crimean annexation Granted he didn't support the current war in Ukraine but still Just being opposed to Putin is not enough
3
Lol 😂 somethings never change
3
He's not defending the Russian position he's just telling you where the Russians are coming from The Russians will never ever stop wanting to advance further West until they have control of those territories which comprise most of the great European plain he's simply saying that you just can't break them of that medieval mindset without something majorly happening in the Russian government
2
@GodKingx87 buddy it literally says I'm leaving in the thumbnail
2
Nah that's Kansas a bunch of scientists found out that it is literally flatter than a pancake
2
@NachDeaDSilenT that seems so arbitrary
2
@ZeCroiSSanT950 If it did it would only be a very minor one Israel has stated that itself has the final say on all the holy sites within it's territory Which is not an uncommon policy, that's also reflected in Saudi Arabia and Turkey In the example of Turkey, they did the same thing when it came to the Hagia Sofia and returned it to a place of worship despite calls to the contrary particularly from Greece Turkey basically said: "My soil, my building, my rules"
2
@larrycox7169 it used to be 2.2 billion Catholics worldwide so yeah that's a significant drop
2
Winner take all is a disgusting voting policy I hope it dies out across more democracies
2
@thomassalvi2104 again I don't agree with what you said but I will defend to the death your right to say it, anybody can be criticized as long as it's kept civil and objective to a point Your criticism is there, it's a little more subjective and less objective but sometimes even subjective criticism is allowed You don't like Peter Zeihan and that's fine
2
@semtexstu3686 Ireland: hold my 🍺
2
We will watch as a PZ slowly looses his 800k+ subscribers 😂
2
The 5 Eyes are also a part of the larger group known as the "Anglo sphere" also sometimes called CANZUSUK that is made up of former British colonies + the British mainland that also forms most of the English speaking world
