I just think its interesting that despite being geopolitical enemies the US still attempted to provide Russia with intel to prevent the situation And then when it was refused made it public so people could hopefully get out themselves

It would be a good idea but it's not that effective in the United States as rail transport has been dwindling over the past century and the rail network of the United States is not built up to the same effect as the road Network that already exists in the United States

@rui.craveiro I never said it was a result of nature that the US built up road networks over rails But I am saying that because they did the rail network will need billions of dollars in infrastructure spending to bring it up to its potential And that's a tough sell for the US gov to its citizens

@guru47pi no it never did subsist on facts and reality government heads were being morons for decades you just didn't see it in the day to day in 1977 when I was working unless your job was a government job it was just harder to catch government Representatives acting stupid because there was no internet back then you didn't have 24-hour real-time access to everything every single government position and the people in them were doing And you didn't have the ability to see drafted legislation go through its process before it published in real time and before it's even voted on to get your opinion on it And again trying to balance the wants and needs of a competing population of 300 million people makes those failures of that government much easier to see to an outsider looking in

I also just want to mention that when China did this in the past when they tried to cover up an outbreak of another pathogen called SARS the scientific community found the culprit animal in 2 months It's been two years since the outbreak and we still haven't found the animal hmmm....🤔
