  1. Joe Dickson Do you know anything about hull life structures and stress conditions on them? Clearly not. HMS Ocean was built to civilian standards. While cruise ships are built to civilian standards, the amount of strain and pressure on the hull is no where near the same as a warship. Her refit a few years ago wasn’t meant to meant to fix hull life as that’s not possible, it was to extend her lifespan by another few years. You spoken or know/related to people who serve on Ocean then? Members of my family served on Ocean and know all about her. What you have said is wrong. Research it or go back to school or even speak to an engineer or seamans officer and they will correct you.

  13.  @lc7327  Cats and traps are good if you have a bottomless budget, you have to maintain the cats and traps as well as repair them over time and repair the small bits of damage they do to aircraft as well. The ski jump works and is effective so what's the problem? The F35B also uses vertical landing and take off. If one brakes the others cannot be used, suspending all flights, how efficient is that.

  28. We own 17 F35B's, all of which are fully operational with y of these taking part in overseas operational duties and the rest shadowing Russian aircraft when operational. The others are in America flying under British pilots until those are ready. QE has embarked F35B’s for the first part of air trials being successful and are now on stage 3. No aircraft carrier in the world, even the Americans don’t start with aircraft. The UK have just ordered another 17 with the overall total to reach 138. Stupid comment. It wasn't two new carriers or the NHS/schools. Warships are not just for going to war, you would know if you knew anything about defence.
