@Globeisahoax You gave real problems separating north & south from up & down, don’t you?
99
@KangenAlec FE’ers can’t explain how seasons work and your brains fuse when given the working explanation.
89
@hullstar242 The carbonation in the drink leads to small CO2 bubbles attaching to the blueberry and giving enough lift to carry them to the surface. Once at the surface the bubbles pop and the blueberry sinks until it accumulates enough new bubbles to rise again.
88
@Globeisahoax You think reciting “it’s flat, it’s flat” is education? That you can’t any answer questions speaks volumes of your ignorance.
82
@KangenAlec Says the gut who insist the artist's impression of a FE is the real thing.
62
@KangenAlec Why can’t FE’ers answer questions?
44
@Globeisahoax No, people like you.
25
@KangenAlec Is that the information that you can't provide or the information that you ignore?
24
@KangenAlec Triangulation shows it’s distant.
24
@janeddooee The gravity exists is demonstrable and demonstrated with the Cavendish experiment. You don't need to know the precise mechanism of something not know it exists. A scientific theory is a comprehensive explanation for a natural phenomenon that is well-substantiated with extensive experimentation and observation. It is not a guess or hunch; that is the vernacular meaning of theory. The Earth was deduced to be a globe through the motion of the sun, horizons, angles to Poalris, two celestial poles, constellations changing with latitude. The surface is fully mapped and is compatible only with a sphere. The exact shape is known down to the cubic metre (WGS84).
17
@KangenAlec Produce this evidence.
17
@kohi48 Explain how the sun maintains a constant angular diameter and angular velocity through the course of the day and rises & sets.
13
They envisage science as an endless high school lesson since that is their only experience of science.
12
AK47-toting penguins.
12
@KangenAlec NASA is irrelevant to this discussion.
11
Trade & travel requires accurate maps.
9
Says the guy who cant explain how the FE works but gets his questions answered repeatedly.
9
@KangenAlec What makes objects fall? If you're going to say density then explain how density acts as a force and why in a specific direction.
9
@KangenAlec So? The path of least resistance would still be upwards. You are describing air pressure as being the propulsive force.
9
If that wasn’t sarcasm then what do you perceive the job to be?
9
It’s not a matter ofwhat they think; there’s precious little thought goes on. However, running around preaching ignorance & incredulity to be the epitome of reasoning is harmful to society.
8
Which clause in the treaty forbids travel?
8
Weather aside, the view across Lake Michigan would be sufficiently short for Chicago to be permanently visible if the Earth was flat. The stars are obscured only by a thin layer of atmosphere.
8
@tomatopotato1136 The documents he refers to are about experimental aircraft design; they restricted the maths to airflow, making several assumptions that would eliminate other variables for simplicity, eg, no weight change due to fuel consumption, no flexibility in the airframe, no terrain and no curvature. FE’ers are incapable of reading the whole sentence.
8
5. None of you can supply evidence. 6. None of you explain what we can observe.
8
How do you travel between nations to understand each other if you have no functioning maps?
7
How does the sun rise & set without coming within 20 degrees of the horizon?
7
@chainlinkoperator On revolution per day, which the stars are observed to make, would give a tangential velocity of c. 1000mph at the equator (maximum distance from the rotational axis). The nearest star is 4 lightyears away; something that distance away is not going to be blurred by your motion. Objects move because a force is applied to them; water levels due to the action of gravity on it. Water does not have the means to observe its environment, make decisions or move itself. FE’er “evidence” relies on the ignorance & incredulity of the listener.
7
@simeondawkins6358 It isn't; it is measurably "drifting" and Polaris has been the pole star since about 500 AD, preceded by Thuban (which is what the ancient Greeks were looking at). I referred to the visible constellations changing with the course of the year and your location, not the constellations moving around in the sky. Polaris lies close to the rotational axis; the pole position declines the further south you head until at the equator it passes below the horizon.
7
@Globehoax You still haven’t explained how you think CGI was achievable in the 1960’s.
7
You will be able to see the same polar stars all the year around but anything below about 30 degrees would and does change through the year. Those changes are where the signs of the Zodiac come from.
7
Generally one of: A. They’re just lights in the sky. B. They’re just appropriately aligned discs. C. Don’t look.
7
Two years and you still haven’t explained how a balloon could mimic it crossing the sky for 20+ years.
7
@KangenAlec Except the air pressure decreases with increasing altitude so why don't objects move slowly upwards?
7
@Globeisahoax Horizon is a result of curvature. Still waiting for your explanation for perspective making something disappear from the bottom up. What’s taking you so long?
7
That the sun rises & sets?
7
Scientific theories are comprehensive explanations for natural phenomena that are well substantiated by extensive experimentation and observation. They are not hunches or guesses; that is the vernacular meaning of theory. Theories are built with facts; they are not facts in themselves. The shape of Earth is a fact not a theory.

Brett Salisbury - religious fundamentalist and anti-semitic.

@earaheart9527 "I see mercury and venus at night. Which is imposibble at your globe model" When the orbits of Mercury & Venus can put them at 10 & 20 degrees away from the sun respectively why wouldn't they be visible? "How does 8000 sattelites travel at those speed without colliding with each other." By there being about 1000 and travelling at different altitudes. "8000 is the number they give" Launched. Most eventually fall back to Earth and burn up in the atmosphere. "so why is the sky blue?" Diffraction of the sunlight as it enters the atmosphere. "I said those ridiculous speeds and they dont require fuel? " Conservation of momentum; when you throw a ball it continues moving when it breaks contact with your hand; the satellite is moving with the Earth while it is on the ground and continues doing so once it has lifted off. "Space has gravity then" No, mass has gravity and the satellite is within the Earth's gravitational field. "Theres a lot of model there" Produce a workable.
6
If there is nothing blocking the light then you would be able to see it.
6
I have a FE’er telling me that people across the FE see different stars from the same dome because they are looking in different directions. That’s the reasoning power that FE’ers employ.
6
23.4 degrees, c. 65,000mph and what do you think is satanic about it?
6
The ancient Greeks deduced it from the motion of the sun & stars and horizons. Photos are the icing on the cake.
6
If it is so obvious to you then why can’t you answer any questions, eg, how does everybody in the FE see a crescent moon simultaneously?
6
The Earth is a physical, measurable shape; its shape is factual, not a matter of belief.
6
Try dividing 360 degrees by 25,000 miles and you might just grasp why direct observation isn't possible at ground level.
6
You see vapour trails; still waiting on anybody to prove that chem trails are real. The Earth was deduced to be a sphere 2500 years ago. Still waiting on FE’ers to explain how they think NASA was influencing the ancient Greeks.
6
@KangenAlec Irrelevant when discussing something thatwas determined long before NASA existed.
6
Still denying telescopes exist…
6
@sheevpalpatine6139 GiaH is delusional rather than joking.
