It was not the big deal it is today, a men of means was still expected to marry and have children no matter what his personal sexual preferences were.

The out rage machine seems to cranked to high for Bernie staffers. The fact he had to even react to this seems like it is a problem only Bernie would face. It plays on the narrative his staffers are worse than other candidates which they are most certainly not. The fact is this would be a non issue if they were not trying to smear Bernie with it. I would not demand expect the resignation if it was from anyone else's campaign either.
