@hagdore For India, English is an absolute necessity to communicate with the rest of the world, so the Indian educators strive to get it right, basing their education on British English rather than the corrupted American version. I've lost count of the times when Americans writing on these comments sections in YouTube, cannot use the correct versions(for want of better description) of There, Their or They're*, or of *You're and Your. For America, it's time to get back to basics. Throw that Websters dictionary in the rubbish bin, where it belongs, import massive stocks of the Oxford English Dictionary, then hire teachers who were educated in British, Australian and New Zealand universities to teach English to American children. I would've included Canada but Canadian English has been partly soiled by the poisonous American influence.
