  10. I agree but sadly it is most not some. I am glad my parents raised me well so I don’t care about materialistic things like luxury bags and designer clothing. In fact, I find most of them very ugly and so expensive. I don’t get the appeal with them at all.

  35.  @setha360 No one ever said any engagement ring had to be thousands of dollars. My friend did not even get an engagement ring and she did not care at all. She just had a plain gold wedding band and she was happy. It is the thought that counts not the materialistic means.

No, marriage has more benefits for women in my opinion. If they divorced, men need to pay alimony and child support. Men have a lot to lose if the marriage does not work out. That is why men are more careful about marriage now due to the gold diggers.
