'equitable' is perhaps too kind, israel should not exist. but it does, so let's move on, as best we can. i recommend the creation of a secular state of palestine, directed by a u.n. agency, charged with unwinding property and building a workable administration. human tights violations have to be ignored. otherwise no hope of peace. this would entail the dissolution of israel. however well deserved, seems unlikely. but what else will cure the israeli situation.

  27. the usa has a comparatively long and stable history, and has no need for the word 'fascism.' it is and has been from birth, 'elective aristocracy.' elective monarchy would not be wrong, but the monarch had little power before ww2. even now, when executive orders are common, the senate can over-ride. it is not a democracy, and never was. elections do not establish democracy, they are an evolved form of the civil war that used to re-set aristocracies- more votes replacing more warriors.

  32. usa myth is much weakened in recent years, and people emerging from it often sound as if they entered a time worm-hole in barsoom which put them here. not only are they dis-oriented, they have no background information with which to process events around them. i believe their case is hopeless, you can't get anywhere good starting from where you are. the best you can do is retreat to the country, acquire a plot of land and live by subsistence farming. evidence? i recommend the careers of chomsky and hedges. two persons who broke in to reality and reported that usa has no clothes. i proffer great respect to both these people, many years of dedication to enlightenment of people in dire need of it. to no visible avail. it just doesn't work, crying out "no clothes! no clothes!" only revolution can change the course of usa decline, and consequent impoverishment of the people. and revolution does not look possible, even to initiate. some societies just die, from some genetic weakness.
