@Yindsey I think most members know it's because it became illegal. Especially if they read their quad, it's right in the manifesto. No one is hiding anything, They probably just haven't read the manifesto. If you know the versions well, why would you leave? I can't think (or have found) any other worldview to explain why we are here, have you? Plus I've received revelation from God that the Book of Mormon is real.
1
@Yindsey Because beliefs and choices change behavior and both have natural and unnatural consequences. And I'm going to use it moral term good and bad consequences. Many of us have suffered those bad consequences, And therefore we feel some sorrow for those that are currently suffering or may suffer those consequences because of their choices and have an obligation to share a better path.
1
We think we lived with God before we were born. That God is literally our spirit father and we also have a spirit Mother. We believe the purpose of life is to grow and learn to become like God (father and Mother) by freely choosing them. People who choose to stop growing by others choose just stop growing. That's it.
1
Yes I'm happy floating on the great ship of Jesus Christ... agreed you can worship whatever is floating you
1
Yep, I love being nuts for Jesus Christ. Losing my life for his sake has changed my life.

What is the ratio?
1
@carrieostler5809 you said some and some, inferring 50/50. Is that the ratio or 100 to 1 or 1000 to 1? This sounds like the media just throwing something out.
1
@carrieostler5809 That is why I asked. And that is what your original post sounds like. So let me use Google and my brain. You're saying their have been 17 million people hurt by this church? If I google, I should see a class action law suit. I found 3 negative stories on the AP , so that ration seems more like 1:6m. So more than 1:1000. I feel like I'm missing something. Or you're in some sort of bubble. is it 50k people? that would be 1:364? I'm going to need more intonation and data.
1
@jeffs4483 You're not wrong we are not like the lutherans or the catholics or the constantines were the orthodox. Nope they can have their Trion cloud
1
@WhatDadIsUpTo Stupid is as stupid does 😄
1
He said the Salt Lake Valley was empty and that was true. If you lived here you would know why. There was a wonderful group on Utah lake and the relationship was strong with them. We have many indigenous wards and Brigham Young didn't let some wagon trains through Utah, because the would just shoot indigenous. If you know our theology, you would know why we where the first white people to not like the "savage" title placed on indigenous. The more you know!
1
@calebargyle8636 There are two lakes. One salt and one fresh. In deferent vallies. I don't feel like you do know what you're talking about? Considering you don't know where Utah lake and Salt lake are....
1
@patryyyk6653 The Lord needs us as servants. And no he doesn't need you to have a "private jet and a mansion" I'm not sure you understand how our church works. We have a lay ministry which means few are getting paid, but no one is getting rich as the payments are standard wages. The church does so much good and much of that happens with work and that takes money.
1
@patryyyk6653 The church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints has 17 million members and a lay ministry. Jeffs has collected 10k people as followers and is in prison.
1
Yes, we do. But no one knows, so there is no social pressure. But we do believe it is a commandment, so there is "commandment" pressure. I love paying my tithing and also am proud of how the church uses its funds.
1
@DanA.-jo4sg whatever you need to tell yourself
1
@susanhaney3437 The book mormon itself says they have the errors of men and men. Just because this is a living church and it's led by Jesus Christ we still have all sorts of imperfections.
1
That is a very pragmatic statement as a member of the church of Jesus Christ of latter-day saints. I think Jesus made a lot of very pragmatic statements.
1
As a member of the Church of Jesus Christ, I limit my quantities of both I never drink any soda or sugar drinks. I would recommend reading the word of wisdom, it is very principles-based.
1
And his name was constantine
1
@evanchurch3549 Ink... But they did read it on the internet.
1
@duduoson1306 She's so right. As a whole, truly Christlike. "Curious what the bad side looks like" Is the converse true? Do you know the ratios?
1
@duduoson1306 Got it. One that i think is really hard for people is because we really believe it and it's very convincing spiritual and mentally, if someone chooses not to believe the restored gospel of Jesus Christ they don't have a "soft landing" they social network are hard to change and reconstructing a new rational worldview can be hard

🤣 I know a couple of guys
1
❤❤❤
1
Yes, he did. But I prefer his brand of Christianity to that of Constatiens and Luthers. Which most follow unawares.
1
It was John that wrote that. Peter did actually write Peter 2 after. It also says something similar in dueteronimy. This is a good conversation to have, especially the origins of the Bible
1
@OntheOtherHandVideos check and agreed. Sorry I'm just in a bad mood and not the best writer.
1
@OntheOtherHandVideos 🤣

There was a settlement by Utah Lake but nothing in the Salt Lake Valley, it is a wasteland without irrigation. This isn't like other parts of the US you're used to.
1
I have both. You're not informed on most of your points
1
It was explored but there was not a Spanish settlement in the salt lake valley. We had to fight and yell at all the other white people that would kill native Americans. We're going to young specifically didn't let certain groups into Utah because they were known for killing Indigenous people. If you come to Utah you'll see that the Native American cultures alive and strong. Start with a ute football game.
1
Yep we have a lot to be grateful for.
1
"Divorce Rate At 30 By State (Highest to Lowest)" is what you are referring to.... People don't know how to analyze data or read the entire report. Read the title and then use your brain and also think about what information you don't have.
1
The valley was empty. There was a settlement on utah lake, and lots to the north and the south, but the valley was empty.
1
love this
1
which group? They all have a different story. Some are members, some are not. Some conflicted some peace, etc.
1
Um, we were the only settlers that didn't Brigham young didn't let some settlers going to California pass because they would just shoot native Americans. Sorry, you don't know what you are talking about.
1
Well said
1
The only reason you have words to describe human rights is because of Jesus Christ and Paul.

❤
1
More black and brown than white, but we're all children of God, so I'm not sure you should worry about that.
1
Yes we don't believe in the nicene creed. I believe very much that Joseph Smith was a prophet. But like 1 cor 2 says just one way to figure that out
1
@tyronesmith9678 It pisses me off as a black person to be put in with gays, like it's some family tree. dems are the worst!!!
1
Your always welcome 🙏. Even if you don't believe or do everything we do, the church is a hospital for the sinners.
1
We all believe in "fairy tales" For example, you may believe that lighting struck the water and created a robot and that robot every so small could make a copy of itself....
1
Don't tell people about it :) What's the matter with you. Delete this!

Fact hu? “It ain’t what you don’t know that gets you into trouble. It’s what you know for sure that just ain’t so. “ – Mark Twain
1
There is a reason for this. Look at the complete opposites of the two post (in time ) just 3 and 4 up. one says: @DerGlaetze 4 minutes ago (edited) I am a convert since 1975, at the time, 20 years old. I am now 68 and still very happy with the paths I have taken in life, since then. I have absolutely no regrets. My conversion to the LDS faith has been the best decision of my life. My second best decision was my wife. I’m thankful for an interview that finally paints a fair and balanced view of my church. Thank you Peter! And God bless! And the other says @AVKRU88 15 minutes ago Mormons are perverting the scriptures and their religion is of the devil. They are all going to hell because they rejected the one and only savior Lord Jesus Christ. You should be asking yourself so why is this hard to find info on. There are 17mm members. It should be easy.
1
@TheLordSorin he was either a genius with supper hypnotherapy powders or these people aren't lying
