@djstuc horseshit - the British Isles hasn't had legal slavery on its shores since 1102 when it was outlawed and the empire abolished slavery in the 1800s - while in 1833 put 40 percent of the value of the entirety up front to buy out and free all those within it... and who were again, not ever enslaved on the Isles. Want to keep going?
2
@djstuc and just WHO did the inviting? I don't recall ever being asked if I was for or against..
2
@magdalenahoppe8899 how is it limiting someone else'? He's free to speak it just as you're free to ignore it or respond in kind. Responsibility is a two way street.
2
@petergaskinuk-1785 "Shares of sovereignty" is that what you have to go on? We abolished an empire - and you'd have us annexed to another one? Ridiculous. If the EU isn't just it's own empire in all but name and just a bloc of trade to which we can do trade - explain why we just HAVE to abide by their rules instead of them with ours. Face it you're fooling only yourself; but that's unsurprising coming from anyone who feels the need to sit at someone else's feet for the illusion of security and freedom at the cost actual both.
2
@dtwids oh he'd find a convenience to end the call. After all for all the intellect he claims he reacts just the same as countless university students I know younger then me: as a whiny brat.
2
That's why it's a call in show... it's what she's paid for...
2
@Americanbadashh Given your user name, ive got two words for you: Marginal Line. What happened to that post US founding and independence? Dont moral posture to me - no country is without culpability for similar.
2
@funtimes7757 You get his sort doing that. Democracy when he gets his way and dictatorial whining when he doesn't. Let's call him what he is; a loudmouthed brat.
2
@avakholwadia1420 Appreciation for them. Not of anyone of this generation who hasn't done squat.
2
Theres no such thing as Palestine. Israel was there first. Think how you'd feel if you'd been away from your home for years then when you return, you find squatters claiming it for theirs. Wouldnt be well pleased would you.
2
I've heard of deliberate manipulation but this is just asinine. They're deliberately sabataging themselves to ensure the leapfrog to the other party occurs. Again not a Tory supporter - nor any other for that matter, but such manipulation of the public is obvious.
2
Oh but a senile old fool who had them for the last term never bothered you? 🙄
2
@futsanflier4422 compared to the lot that have been in that office the last forty years - Donald's relatively sound of mind!
2
@1porter you should hear the left speak; not a sliver of sense in any of them.
2
He's delusional, like anyone else who thinks voting actually makes a difference.
2
Well this aged well, didn't it...
2
@tomoneil6540 the irony being they'd use the exact same argument because they can't create any on their own; they have to twist and pervert what we create. Though let it be known, for as much as they claim Liberalism, they show none of its qualities: they're Socialists, Liberal in name only.
2
@tomoneil6540 even more interesting on how so few people are aware of that fact and that the majority don't, is such a testament to how much they depend on ignorance as a convenience.
2
It was the full banana split during Biden's tendure - and he would have thought banana split was one of those positions he could pull off on his friend Jeff's island...
2
@annfrancis6287 Clearly you've never known veterans who've been to those regions.
2
@johncobourne361 Making one there yourself, I see. You feel morally superior yet? Got the pat on the back you were looking for?
2
@Jamie-uk2zh I personally don't care as much, but when presented with a situation, I'll pass comment on it. You are however quite correct in the fact it's seemingly taken over so many people's minds - almost as if to distract from matters going on at home.
2
@memeisticdan4135 And you just nod your head and accept the unfounded facts of the bleeding hearts, without demanding links that don't just lead to their own personalised source material? Do some digging and look it up yourself. It's not my place to hold your hand, nor will I insult your intelligence by doing so.
2
@nk-gp1ml Because they're SOOOO inconvenient to your own?
2
@Maxibo234 Now where did you learn that one from? Has your sources told you that was "appropriate" or did you actually hurt your head coming up with something new for a change? Don't answer that, puppet.
2
@toriesdontgettazered7464 Nope, I don't vote in this broken system.
2
@petewalsh764 Isn't that deemed the definition of insanity - repeating the same process over and over and expecting a difference of outcome?
2
@MrGB-me8ws Oh and I haven't forgotten your comment - women weren't prevented from serving, they turned it down and thought "their vote" wasn't quite worth it.
2
@harrypainter7472 well then that should show that neither he or she should be lecturing the people about how to live their lives then? Doesn't it.
2
@macgonzo And raising the wage whilst also raising the taxes - which Labour always advocates, also means the rise in price for everything else. So what changes? Nothing.
2
@macgonzo then answer me one simple question - what is our currency actually based on? It isn't silver: not been since the 19th century. Not gold; stopped that in the 1930s. Oil's not it... so what is it? And I answer - fiscal debt. It's why inflation is even a thing in the first place: how can you pay back a debt when the currency is based on debt? Short answer - you don't. You just juggle the figures now and then and give the clueless masses the opinion that you're doing something. But that debt is owed and inevitably needs to be paid back... But apparently I don't know the basics of economic theory...
2
Oh you won't hear anything about that - because the majority here will accept anything if it let's them uphold the delusion that "Bwexist was wwong and we are teh smart wemainers" misspelling intended for mocking effect.
2
"Palestinian" land doesn't exist. Never did and never will, because there are no Philistines to speak of. The "Arab" land exists however, that isn't being bothered and won't be - tell the so called "Palestinians" to go there, seeing that's their only historical homeland.
2
@corvus1238 so Scotland going on and on about leaving the UK is...?
2
donmiah9486 For?
2
@aliasofanalias7448 so did i; less then a year ago, the world didn't stop for me, so I will not stop for them.
2
@jeffreyd700 stupidity like this is why I openly embrace misanthropy.
2
@williamjones7607 well let's drop the moral posturing shall we? We all know theres no altruism in this rant - instead nothing short of an imposed sense of indignation keeps puppets screaming their cries of racism - they've counted on it.
2
@Eira436 name a singe country that hasn't in some way done the same. Seriously all this ranting about colonialism yet not a word mentioned about the mass migration being exactly the same thing is sickeningly hypocritical.
2
@alexisagginie4574 you mean the very media she clings desperately to for relevance? Please...
2
@susanbrown2909 and you think Labour is any different? Please.
2
How sad.
2
Not surprising. What better way to disinfranchise your opponent then to make them seem incompetent.
2
@TheNemocharlie Oh please...
2
@psrpippy And given who was in power the 13 years prior - you ought to know who to blame for giving them the means to get back into power.
2
@ptv8113 And you don't think that's done unintentionally? People are easiest to manipulate when they're easily offended and the simplest to control when they're divided. No matter what party it is - whether it's left or right wing; that factor in this system is always the same. Labour did it with "Political Correctness" Tories did it with "Conspiracy Theory"
2
@parametr As if she'd have even given one once her argument had run out of steam "We're running short of time so" and the like.
2
@jamesdenny5078 Let's drop the moral posturing shall we? We both know there's no altruism in this argument - merely an indignation based on an irrelevance. Do you have a point you're trying to make with your presumption? On the contrary - I don't vote. No point in voting within a system designed to delude people into believing there's a difference within the parties aside from colour of ribbon and printed stance, when the reality is they're all on the same page and that's to make a career on fooling the people into an orderly obedience. So "I" am not accountable or responsible for their actions - but everyone who does vote in that system is, as when you put your little tick in the box for a candidate, you accept the risk of possibility for when the government - whether your side wins or not, acts out in a matter deprived of what you hope for - indeed you offer your consent to it. Ergo you're more guilty for the actions of both Labour and the Tories then I ever could be. Would you like to attest to how it feels to have played your role in handing the strings you're bound to, from one puppetmaster, to the other?
2
@franklingoodwin Hmm let's see - continously importing thousands a day on a currency backed by debt without collateral and a parliamentary government hellbent on Net Zero. If you don't call that on the brink then I don't know what is.
2
@jamesberry5578 You'll find these are the people who complain about irrelevance and have nothing to say about what's relevant. I agree with you completely.
