I would have loved to be a fly on the wall when you were in that focus group about bank fees😂

100% agree. Like, I don't understand girls that go on crazy diets before a big event such as their wedding or prom etc. Like, don't you want to look hot all of the time? Does the rest of the time not matter? Don't you want to feel good about yourself all of the time? Don't you want to actually honor your body by eating healthy and exercising and not starving yourself temporarily only to gain it all back after the event? I also don't understand new year's resolutions. Don't you want to be the best all of the time? If there is something that you want to improve on, change it now, not because of the time of the year.

Keep up the good work!💪💪💪

So much better! I can totally understand you don't like carpets 🙂

Kudos to you for putting an extra effort to make videos like this, must be time consuming, tedious editing and it calls for extra planning and timing. After this video I watched the one where you compare eating out/ordering food vs. eating at home, same thing. And you give great advice!

oh my gosh that LV bag, I saw it online last week and made my coworkers gather around to see its ridiculousness!

I am applying what Nicole says and saving money to my bank account. It is not much, but it is something. I have also negotiated my rent. I have actually had successful insurance claims.
9
You are definitely not alone. You are able to articulate things so well. I have moved so much it’s ridiculous. We have moved for hopefully the last time for a long time in February to a nice 3 bed 2 bath condo. I don’t want to take care of a yard or shovel snow so this is perfect for us. My mom is selling her house and has moved to a condo she used to own but is now going to rent it because that was her happy place and that’s where she wants to spend the rest of her days. So yesterday was my last day cutting grass at her house. We moved her last Saturday. The process and pain of moving has finally got me to a place that I really just want to stay put. I’m hoping that I follow through and not move again for at least 5 years. I’m always seeking something new and exciting. I find I do this with my work too. I’m back and forth as to what I want to do vs what I probably should do. Maybe one day I will figure it out. Maybe not. But I guess it’s what keeps our life interesting. Keep up the good work. I love your videos.

The dark ages were so much better. I had that Blink Cheshire Cat album on cassette!

I totally agree! Even though I've been self employed for the past 8 years, there is always this fear in my mind: "what if people stop requesting my services?" It's wonderful to have the freedom that self employment gives me but it's certainly stressful at times, when the income is not as consistent. 😓

If your vacuum ever breaks, you might try a Roomba. I'd never be without one again. Also, stainless steel pans are great if cast iron ever becomes too heavy to lift....which it has for me 😆
9
I NEEDED THIS. I had the exact same thoughts a while ago, but being constantly stressed out for a long period of time still got me back on that slippery road of procrastination and treating myself too much. Things started to go downhill and turn ugly pretty damn fast, causing even more stress and nearly another depression episode. Thank you so much for this vid, I'm gonna do the dishes, cook a nice healthy meal and remember to take a proper care of myself

I’m 53 and my favorite band is Blink 182. And my husband says I have the sense of humor of a 12-year-old boy. Nipples. Erect. 😂😂 I LOL every time you say those words.
9
Another great video! Before you even said the phrase, I realized you are talking about planned obsolescence. Unfortunately, the giant corporations want to make quick, easy bucks, so they make inferior products that quickly break or die and then need to be replaced.

Definitely have regrets however our lives are our experiences. Had I not made the so called bad decisions I wouldn’t be where I am today. Mind you had I made better decisions I wonder where I would be today. I’ve owned 4 properties but now I’m renting because of a decision I made to move to my dream State of Florida. Which in hind sight became my nightmare. Because 4 years later I can’t recoup the wasted money. But I have the experience. And oddly enough I am glad for the experience. I know that I can do whatever I set my mind to. We live and learn. Most times the hard way. But while I’m saving money again to buy a property I am thankful for the experiences. I am finding gratitude in everything. Once you get out of the comparison game life is better. I am continually learning and growing. I am an achiever. Once I would achieve my goal I would be onto the next goal. It’s not until recently that I finally said “I am good right where I am”. I am grateful and excited for new adventures and happy right in the moment. Gratitude has been key for me. Keep up the great work. I love your content. It keeps me thinking 🧐

This is legit, very informative. Great video!

Around a month ago my husband shopped at Walmart and the paid Walmart cashier had the gall to ask him for a tip for bagging his items. MLM’s ( multilevel marketing) are a huge scam largely in part because to get started one is required to invest their own funds in products that are difficult to sell and the investor (dupe) ends up being burdened with items they either don’t want or need. Great video.

9 x out of 10 those of us with "a bad attitude" can overcome and work hard to get what "we" want to live without someone else's BS! I loved your video. We could do a picnic sometime and ruminate, except I live on the Northern West coast! You rock girl! 💖💖😘😘😊
9
Thank you, Nicole. 2 am to 10 am sleep is the best thing ever happening to me. Greetings.

Its hard for some people to grow up. Bottom line: stop being silly, stop doing thigs mindlessly - put thought into your decisions, be forward thinking, actually have a plan.
9
this g'ma looks forward to your vids every Sunday at 1030, after CBS Sunday morning. the two programs are both informative, entertaining, and well done, they even sequay well! at least for me! thank you for your dedication to offering others a path to tap their own patience for the future with solid advice while obviously walking the walk you talk.
9
I think you are an amazing human being. Thank you for sharing yourself with all of us. 😊

I think we can say what is normal only to us personally. I grew up going to thrift stores so it’s normal to me. I grew up poor but always had food and clothes and a home. I grew up going to church and praying, though I don’t go any more, I understand it and I believe in things we can’t see. I guess if others share our same background than there’s a collective normal. Nicole I like your videos because they incorporate different ideas even if you’re a weirdo. That’s actually what I like about you.

I love to bake and cook from scratch and consider researching/making recipes to be one of my hobbies. Many years ago, I invested in a quality stand-mixer and have a couple of other kitchen appliances of that scale that I use multiple times a week to make various meals or baked goods. For me, it was worth spending the money on quality brands and they have lasted forever. When I need to buy/replace cooking items, I tend to buy high quality because it increases my enjoyment of preparing food and the items last such a long time. In terms of true “luxury” items that I spend money on? I enjoy painting and I buy nice paints, brushes and sketchbooks. Now that I have those things, they last for quite a long time and don’t need to be replaced that frequently. They provide me with many hours of enjoyment and are worth including in my budget.

Unmiserate....if it's not a word, it should be

I love your videos, Nicole! I feel so identified with you. I've learned trough minimalism that most of my attachments wee a little bit more of a burden that a something that actually brings value to my life. Hugs from Mexico!

Thank you. I love your content. You are very genuine.

Such an excellent video!!

Omg 1:04 in and had to comment puppy Levi is adorable 🥰 ❤

Great heads up - I see you found yet another scam for us to avoid 😂 - you will likely find more in weeks to come. By the way, following you on yt has convinced me to go minimalist - it's been a long process over the past year, but I feel much lighter in all ways. Thanks!

Love it! soo minimal i like that. I´m a minimalist myself and seeing so little stuff and furniture just makes me happy

I am a credit card person and specifically use one store card every month and pay it off. It's for a big box store that sells groceries. I get 5% rewards with the card. I signed up for the delivery service. Essentially I tracked it and the reward pays for the delivery subscription and tips. So I get my delivery for free and pay off every month as soon as the purchase clears so no interest. Plus I save on gas, impulse purchases, and time.
8
Have a good week. Wishing you the best with your new house.

Thank you for your videos. I don't know how exactly how and when I stumbled on your videos. But they are a big part in me planning my exit from a horrible job, that I'm also hating. I dread going to work basically the moment Friday afternoon comes around. I have pretty much all the puzzle peaces, now I "just" need to execute them. My plan is to cut my hours even more (I'm currently already working just 6 hours a day) and concentrate on getting customers for my side hustle. Sooner rather than later I hope to completely leave. Over the years I already had two pretty long breaks because of burn-out and the next is on the way. I just can't take it anymore. I'm almost 45 and if I don't take this chance, I'm not sure I'm having the courage to pursue another one. I have to get out of there and your videos are a big part that I got the courage to make my own way. Thank you for that.

I know I agree with everything you said, good job!

This is why I only use bank accounts that have zero fees. My main bank account is Ally for that reason. But, one thing I love to do with these crappy bank accounts is do bank account bonus churning. I'll open an account for a bank specifically to get the bonus, and then once i've met all of the requirements, I'll close the account. One bank in particular that I've done this for 3 years in a row because I can do it every 12 months, is Fifth Third Bank. I've made $825 in the last three years from opening a fifth third account and closing it right after I met the requirements. Takes about 5-10 minutes set up time each time, and about 10 days start to finish to get my bonus and close the account. They're a trash bank, but I'll keep taking their bonus and making over $1,000hr doing it as long as I can. Lol

Girl you’re young and single. Pick a goal date, make a plan and MOVE YOUR ASS TO A WARM CLIMATE ☀️ If I was young and single I would do exactly that.
8
Love your work 👌👍
8
Best video yet!...IMHO I wish I would have realized this way back. The way you explained this concept is about the best I've heard it and has really helped me complete my understanding. Meaning, you put it in a way that totally made it "click" for me. Thank you 😊
8
@AccordingtoNicole lol 😂 no unfortunately not, sorry! Your videos are really inspiring me.
8
No new year resolutions. I work on my goals year round. Got a new job. Government related. Saving to ditch overpriced Ontario for the friendly and affordable Caribbean.
8
This video was very relatable!! I'm a senior wanting to downsize and it's overwhelming to me.
8
Once again, great advice about getting ahead. 👍
8
Also you should make a "meat and dairy" is a scam video. Definitely might ruffle some feathers but it is so so true. Thanks girl! ❤❤❤

Wow…. A sponsor and look at those subscribers growing! So proud of you!!!
8
I enjoy that you keep it real & honest.
8
My husband and I are frugal so we can afford 4 cats and donations to animal charities.
8
When I notice my brain arguing with itself I often say "blah, blah, blah" to bring myself back. I'm pretty sure that from now on I'm going to see your little sock puppets whenever that happens. 😂
