  3. Really wanted a geothermal heat pump when my home was built. Unfortunately the ROI just wasn't there because the added cost of putting in the ground coils was so high. It's a great idea though and I'm glad you included it in this video.

  4. Just discovered your channel. I work for a major Class 1 railroad and this accident is “The Big One” we’ve all been talking about since the carriers have adopted PSR. The reduction in staff, mainly in the maintenance departments, is astonishing. As an example, on my territory, everyday at least 3 trains are stopped because of mechanical issues. And as far as our pay raise is concerned, I was very vocal about this. Keep your money and let me call off when I need to. The average person works 5 days a week so, they have 8 days off per month plus 11ish holidays so, the average person has about 100-110 days off per year. With my seniority, I have now reached the point where I get 30 days off. Oh, and they have to be scheduled…anyway, when it comes down to it, this accident is because of PSR. And I’m afraid it’s going to happen again….thanks for posting about this.

  13. We have a model three. Our shop also has Zenith all-electric service vans. I will never buy another ICE machine. I was wanting to love the Cypertruck -but my heart sank when I saw it. The specs/pricing are excellent though. As a contractor - I really like that is so capable, has opening/locking bed, stainless steel finish instead of paint, on-board power and air, load-adjusting suspension, large crew-cab...Actually - the more I look at it - the less strange it looks. Wow - I just reserved!!!

  24. The entire time the EV1 was in development and for lease Saft made large 100 Ah NiCd batteries for EVs. As long as they were properly watered with de-ionized distilled water they kept going. 3000+ cycles was not uncommon for them in actual EV use. They would have doubled the range of the EV1.

  26. I ordered an AWD with full self driving. I'm a Board member for my local Rural Electric Cooperative and went to my Board meeting today expecting to be a subject of ridicule. It was amazing. All ten of the other Board members were really stoked about the Cybertruck. One offered to buy my Model 3. The CEO said the RWD version will work for the Coop's fleet. I've been trying to sell these guys, all of them from small town America, on EVs for the last four years, and unbelievably they absolutely loved it.

  29. This is cool, however I have to say that the whole range issue is largely in our minds. My Model 3 has a 322 mi range and it's plenty (more than enough for day to day, and perfectly reasonable for long trips).

  33. I'm a pilot and it's counterintuitive, but navigating on the ground at any decent-sized airport is one of the more challenging things to do. And I don't recall any of my formal pilot training addressing ground control processes/procedures.

  35. Hydrogen could work within the near future as extraction methods improve. They'd be ideal for the aviation and shipping industries. Because hydrogen is a gas and is light in density it wont cause as much energy loss as batteries. Batteries are also good as they allow for more efficiency, however extraction methods are quite expensive due to increased production of lithium ion batteries.

I worry that the scale of complexity will eventually create a situation were one small glitch will crash the whole thing. Despite my cynical outlook I do appreciate your video on this innovative system and the people who put it together......👍👍

  49. Solar panels are an extremely conservative investment. Even if the stock market tanks, they continue to provide power. Thus you really should only compare against conservative investments that are very unlikely to crash with the general market.
