Well done Mitch. Im 9yrs older than you but i think we have a very similar approach. Also my career is now peaking and on a 6 figure salary, daughter is approaching teenage years so less demands for childcare, wife can work fulltime etc. with property, savings and pension we are about £400k in equity. Life is good, but hasnt been without its challenges. My biggest lesson has to be intentional with my money. My wife and I have an income and expenditure sheet and a balance sheet. We budget and have direct debits or standing orders direct to savings. A seperate joint account we call 'play' and thats our monthly fun money. After bills, the rest goes to investments or savings, such as emergency fund and new car when needed.

Some great advice :)

This is the best time for young people to start investing. I invest into S&P500 and a pie made up of big stocks. Also investing in property always!!🎉
3
Great to hear about your new venture. It’s always good to expand the reach of your content, I’d love to see this channel grow. Show me your property portfolio!

I’m from india and I believe such a crash will effect all global markets .. i personally cashed out and booked my profits from the 2020-21 bull run and parked that money in debt funds to renter when markets are more reasonably priced .. 👍🏻
3
Again great video Mitch, I am loving them so please keep up the great work.
3
That tech pie chart is mad!
3
Great video Mitch! I have in recent months been adding some consumer staples positions already with inflation in mind. I’ve added Tesco, Procter and Gamble and PepsiCo recently which all pay decent dividends as well :) reigning back on the high growth plays and taken some profit off the table

Buying the dip and hoping I’m not homeless by the end of the year 😎
3
Great breakdown bro!! Congrats on 20k aswell! Smashing it!!!
3
Great vid Mitch. Look forward to seeing a similar one for Q2 to see the growth continue
3
Thanks for the update!

Great video Mitch. I'm just preparing list of books to read to have better understanding of investing. I already invested my first money to S&P 500 thanks to your videos. Thanks for all info you're sharing with us!!❤❤
3
Great video - I invested in Apple a few weeks back 👍

Always enjoy your videos mate. Very informative, and as a dividend investor myself (with the exception of 1 stock in my portfolio, Tesla), I appreciate your research and knowledge. Congrats on 20k subscribers!
3
Congrats Mitch, enjoyed this video. Some good yield there, hope it goes well
3
I will be continuing to add to my portfolio and cost average down. Most of my stocks are dividend so I will still be getting some income whilst I wait for the share growth to return
3
I’d love to see the property journey
3
Sad I only have 400 pounds..

Give me more VUSA 💪💪
3
Great video as ever and refreshingly transparent
3
Youre a smart thinker Mitch 👍

Nice one. I did laugh at the Titanic reference. I am still sticking with my Value/growth Uk stocks. Specifically Legal & General, ScS, Redrow, Bellway, Barclays, CAML, Forterra and CLS holdings. I’ll continue to average down on each payday
3
Hold fast mate, and buy the dip! Great content as always Mitch 👍
3
Thanks Mitch you continue to be a source of inspiration on the UK investing scene, always like to watch your videos for ideas
3
I cost average every payday and then 'lump sum' or top up with bonuses etc. Hopefully that way getting the best of both worlds and managing risk.
3
Do yourself a favour and buy that EV, I’m 18 months in and put the money I saved into stonks… :) if in doubt zoom out
3
Simple, buy more

Fantastic video as always mate. Keep up the quality content

Another great vid. They're all helping me get ready

Great video Mitch. Would love to see your journey of your property development business. You've definitely inspired me to start investing now for future. Good luck with the new adventure.
3
Really impressed with your videos But also all your investments. I think you got a great future
3
Will you sell all your positions to buy your first property? Or will you stop investing for now to buy your first property?
3
Great vid again 👌

Good video

Hi Mitch, enjoying watching your videos. Do you just buy and hold stocks then? Noticed you had some which were down 20-30% in a previous video. Do you set stop losses or not?
3
@MitchShoesmith like you say, the best way is just to keep investing and cost average your way back in. Unfortunately many people don’t understand, this is the time where money is made and you need to invest, not to pull out. Keep up the good work tho mate 👍

It is a very useful video. However, another saying is ‘knows the price of everything, but the value of nothing’. Everyone is different but I don’t think it’s healthy to ‘micro charge’ all activity in your life. I’ll give you an example: My boundary walls needed rebuilding. I could’ve contacted a bricklayer and laid them to do this for me however, I valued learning the skill and the sense of satisfaction from doing it myself. It may have taken twice as long but I was also twice as happy. As we head towards retirement another factor to consider is its impact on physical and mental health. Sure, as I acquire wealth I can just ‘pay a guy’ but you will soon lose all sense of purpose. Stay busy and you stay healthy. I’m a bit further down the road than you buddy. The advice is good, but it has to be a balance otherwise there will be unintended consequences. No one ever wants to be the richest guy in the graveyard.

Hi Mitch, I love your videos and I will like to thank you on sharing all your assets and investments. You are my favourite Youtube finance YouTuber. Congratulations on building a sold net worth for your age.

Or QYLD as is more diverse…..

Why dont you include your pension in your portfolio analysis? For me at 37 and a 40% tax payer, its my primary saving focus. Tax efficent and invested 100% in equities. Come new year ill reach £100k in my SIPP. It will be a great milestone. My calculations are to reach £250k in 5yr(42), £500k in 10years (47), £1m in 17 years (54) and by state pension age (67) have over £3.5m.
3
Seen a few reductions in my area (East Midlands) nothing major, like £15k- £20k knocked off £300k properties. Property at the lower end of the market ie small semis/terraced, typical starter homes etc, seem very expensive still especially compared to larger 3/4 detached houses on a price per square ft basis. Not much in the way of discounts there. I'm not really buying the media scare stories of a nasty nationwide crash. People around me in my circles seem to have more money than ever even with their food bills now £50 a week more expensive or energy doubling to £300 a month. Alot of people still have plenty of money to buy houses at inflated prices which is helping prop up the market. The supply is still too small to offset the demand so property prices are very robust.
3
Brill video as always Mitch, reinvesting dividends is addicting - especially as you see them slowly grow bigger and bigger. Got to love that snowball effect!
3
Are there any portfolio updates coming soon mitch? Class videos keep it up mate
3
Good video mitch, congratulations on your progress, thanks for the transparency 👍🏻👌🏻
3
This is why I have everything in dollars….
