Help I'm trying to understand the capital gains tax I work full time hence I earn enough money anyway to be taxed So if I made 2 grand on the stock market this year and then sold at the end of the year would I have to pay capital gains tax on that 2k profit? I am asking because I am investing this year with a stocks and shares ISA account so I'm wondering if any/all my profit will be taxed?

  20. The downside is purely because of interest rates. Otherwise it will be short lived. Death rates (pension age rising, people living longer) = down Birth rates = up Migrants = up All this means demand is going up. Only once that shifts, which It won't, will house prices crash.

  26. The UK stock market is junk. A combination of Brexit and yesterdays industries (mining, banking etc) makes it a poor investment. Companies are choosing to list in the US for greater capital. Investing in UK stocks is a bad decision and investors are voting with their feet. You are spot on with the bad leadership analysis too.

Nice Mitch great strategy I’ve been clearing out some bits sold fastly at a loss brought Microsoft yesterday also brought more apple 🍏 and draftkings brought eBay because I’ve been selling a lot on there through lockdown so I thought earning and forecast would propel it looks like not so buying peloton in chunks at moment spks have done me a bit especially hyllion looks like I need to hold that for a long time now it’s a bit of a rollercoaster 🎢 at moment so I’m not investing funds but moving bits about till spring narrowing things down to more Covid resilience plays well done to you. With your portfolio 💼

  35. There is always going to be people who you can compare yourself with that makes you feel behind Just got to be consistent and put yourself in the best position that you can. I think automation and building a side hustle is key to putting yourself in the best position possible

Spot on regarding UK stocks when results come out uk stocks seem to move much slower compared to US counterparts as their is a lack of appetite in investing in uk stocks, think Brexit has made the FTSE market less attractive, whoever gets involved in AI will be where the money will be now likely to be the US again!
