  12. No, you can't transfer stocks directly from an investment account to an ISA. You would need to sell your stocks and then buy them back within your ISA account. This is known as a "bed and ISA" transfer. HMRC only allows cash to be moved in to an ISA so they can track how much is paid in.

  21.  @MitchShoesmith  It is amazing how many people don't realise that they can make £100,000s more over 30 years by looking at what their private pension(s) schemes are actually invested in and perhaps changing them, even if simply changing to invest in global tracker ETF. Many pension funds have 25 year olds investing 40% of their portfolio in bonds at <4% and the rest in poor performance, high cost, actively managed expensive funds!

  25. Good fortune with your investment Mitch. At 37 I've got 4 mates who had buy-to-lets. 2 or 3 beds in the Midlands. They are all selling up and getting out of the game. The way you pay income tax on revenue not profit, issues with tenants and their ever increasing rights, capital gains tax allowance decrease, rising letting agent fees, repair costs increasing, increased mortgage costs etc etc. Many felt the stress and work not worth it. But again, good fortune to you. I hope it proves lucrative. Plus smart move on the Ltd company. I advised my friends to do this, but they didnt want the complexity of returns etc.

  26. I’ve been looking to buy a house for the last couple of years. Recently I’ve seen 25k being knocked off a few houses in Warwickshire. One house dropped 75k from 625k to 550k and still isn’t selling. There is still a big demand for starter homes round here (300k) but the bigger homes don’t seem to be flying off the shelves anymore.

  28. i started investing 4 years ago at 41 years old .I went from 400 dollars to 1500 to 15 k today i am at 84 k . I get around 450 a month in dividends plus a put 200 a week out of my paycheck.I think I will get to 100k at the end of the year

  36. Hi Mitch I took out a new mortgage 11 years ago as an interest only, with the money I saved against a standard repayment I have invested in shares of my choice, I now have got enough to pay the mortgage in just 11 years.

  40. I only started investing after watching you and Mark Tilbury. I'm 53 now, so kinda late to the party, but nevertheless at least I'm still in with a shout. Just wanted to say thank you for your 2 free deutsch mark shares! My side hustle is lego star wars sets and I have just brought £800 worth of sets due to be retired at the end of this year. Potentially worth 2k in 3 to 4 years time. Just thought I'd give a few of your followers a heads up on this as an excellent opportunity to diverserfy into a healthy nest egg. Off now to wrap it up carefully and leave it in the spare bedrooms wardrobe 😊

  45. Another great video Mitch! One KILLER is you can't transfer shares from an invest account into an ISA, you have to sell and then rebuy. I am currently moving part of my portfolio from HL because you're spot on, they SO bloody expensive! I love my T212 account :)

  47. We have come out of the mid cycle slowdown and now are in the second half of the cycle. No recession this year or next. Markets are likely to go sideways or trend down through to mid summer and then we will have a strong second half of the cycle through to 2026/27.
