Exactly the sort of video I wanted as a first time dash cam buyer.

Thank you for putting so much time in your reviews and dedicating yourself to finding all of this information. You get straight to the point and do it clearly and honestly, great videos!!

Great coverage on the development history of vehicle passive safety features. I think there's more to be covered. Active safety features are important as well. Anti-lock brakes and electronic stability control also play important roles in car safety. IIHS recommends cars with electronic stability control for teenage drivers even for the used ones. Now, we also have automatic braking and back up cameras too. These active safety features prevent car collisions and injuries from happening in the first place. I think this would be a good topic for one of your future videos.

Currently studying environmental engineering, this is exactly the sort of thing I want to work on. Also, Great job visualizing and explaining Manning's Equation.

The SanDisk High Endurance 64GB is on sale right now for $16.40 USD, and the 32GB is $10.99 USD before taxes on Amazon, definitely going to be picking up a high endurance card. Thank you for making such a well informed video about these cards, I had no idea there was a difference between these and the regular cards.

Amazing explanation video as always!!

Your videos are so mesmerizing to watch and much more well-placed and structured than most youtubers. I get a lot of satisfaction out of watching them, and any length of time is worth the wait for this kind of quality! Keep it up

Great video Andrew Lam. It was worth all your effort and I appreciate it.

I really would like to take a second to give a genuine thanks to all the fire fighters and engineers and any respondents. Dying in a fire is probably my number 1 worst way to die, and I really can't imagine the horror of those who perished in such situations. It makes me feel much better knowing there are people who take these risks extremely importantly and do their best to implement any way to reduce chance of death by fire. If I wasn't already in another branch of engineering I honestly would probably have been interested in such things because it really does save lives

Car Cam Central: 1. First off, thank you for your in-depth reviews - you are the guru of dash cams! While this list is great, all of the cameras listed are FIXED (adhered to the window and without any way of adjusting viewpoints). 2. Could you provide your top picks and analysis for cameras that can pivot to view the left and right side of the vehicle? While most car accidents occur from the front or rear of the vehicle, many incidents occur from the driver-side and passenger-side windows (i.e. police, disgruntled drivers, car jacking...etc.). 3. This would not be unlike your review of the VicoVation Opia2 review in 2017. What is your 2019/2020 pick? Cheers!

Great video as always Andrew! Keep up the high quality videos. They're really appreciated.

I'm not sure if the author says that ungrounded sockets are as safe as grounded ones. He just says that they have another kind of protection like GFCI. In my country, at least back in the days when I worked as electrician - grounding was mandatory, GFCI was not. AFAIR - I was electrocuted many times, of course it was because my own carelessness. At my new home I have GFCI installed. Number of electrocutions - zero. Each time I carelessly touch the hot wire GFCI trips and cuts the power. Grounding gives the better protection from the appliances faults, but GFCI works better against "human errors". OF COURSE, it's best to use both kind of protection. IMO, today both kind of protection should be absolutely required in any new building. However, when we consider older buildings - it's probably way cheaper to go with the GFCI, because installing it doesn't require additional wiring and replacing all wall sockets.

Damm Andrew. Stepping up the game. Nice lowdown. Especially liking the voltage part for hardwiring and parking mode.

Hey. Put the yellow outlines in the thumbnail. The video is great! Just the thumbnail sucks. Make it clearer what the video is about

Insta click on notification. Awesome video!!

I have had The Viofo A119V3 for six weeks now and it is working very well. The video quality in the daylight is great! At night, the video quality is also great! I had the Viofo A119S. I now have that camera on my rear window and the video quality of this older camera is still working great for me. I have been using Viofo for the past three years with no problem. For me, Viofo is very reliable and i will stay with them. Great job again Andrew!!! Thank you!!

Thanks for this video. I am surprised to find out that major brands (Samsung, Sandisk, etc) sell 128gb U1 Endurance level microSD card less than $40, while many DashCam manufacturers are selling their own memory cards for more than $100. Dashcam manufacturers might be getting a lot of profit from selling microSD cards at a higher margin, just like how Inkjet printer manufacturers are selling the printer at a discounted price but their inks at a higher price. Your video is the de facto standard video that I would like to recommend to others who are looking forward to upgrading their dashcam memory capacity.

Thanks

Im shocked to see your subscribers count being under million. The high quality videos deserve more, keep up the good work

Same.

Lol I love your evil laugh after the airbag explosion 😂
5
I just installed my A129 last week
5
@Lam Time well spent. Well done.

Great video with an amazingly well detailed article on your website. Read the whole thing and the level of details is fantastic. In Australia our houses have very low building standards, this article was a wealth of knowledge to improve home security for a very small investment. Having a home broken into isn't just a monetary loss, it's a violation of your space
5
Andrew youre gonna blow up with this format, keep up the great work
5
Fantastic video and channel! Could you make a video discussing the differences in safety regulation for trucks, SUVs, and cars?
5
Thank you for the insane amount of work you put into this!
5
It‘s important to note that the geometry of the tread is only scratching the surface, no pun intended. The tread for example is made of different rubber compounds that have different properties.
5
Whenever I search for dash cam information that is detailed, I inevitably find my way to your channel for unbiased info. You are thorough and I am able to make decisions I would otherwise hesitate to make. Many thanks for your info, time and leaving me with options without a hard sell.
5
Thank you for all your extensive effort. You saved me a lot of time when selecting a dash cam and accessories!
5
Fascinating video! And great production values all around. The giant storm tunnels in my city are occasionally visited by kayakers. Though I've read some scolding comments from engineers that warn it's dangerous. Me, I just walk a few hundred meters in and back to admire the graffiti.
5
The editing for this must of taking ages. well done. I watched this with my dad and it was really good
5
Great video!

I’m in the fire protection industry . You did a great job explaining how these systems work and how they tie into each other

@Lam There's a piece of farm equipment developed in California row crop root vegetable fields. It prevents the tires of a trailer on which they sort the crop from running over the crop by a set of gears between the tractor and trailer. The data from that gear set feeds back into a computer in the farm tractor which then steers to keep the trailer tires in between the rows of crops decreasing waste in crushed vegetables. It is brilliant in its simplicity, something to consider covering in the future.

Oh Yea!!!!

After my first time driving on high end sport tires, I realized tires can completely change how a far feels and performs. I have so much appreciation for tires now, would never skimp on them

lol did anybody notice what the guy doing in the bus stop at 2:45 Xdddd

Thank you !! For Researching for Us especially me. Comprehending is a problem due to trauma to my brain- I've no idea of high tech stuff too much for me but with half a brain cell I have left (haha) I learned what gadget I need You're a Good Teacher and Great voice too others are annoying. God Bless You
4
they were TOO rigid. Yea they held up in accidents well, but that basically means the passengers were subject to more force. It's the same problem a smart car has, no crumple zones.
4
Oh my god the animation and graphics is INSANE in this new video of yours Andrew! Did you make it yourself? Anyway, awesome video as always! XD
4
Liked the lock picking lawyer gag.
4
Really superb video as usual! Very helpful information! Looking forward to more videos!
4
Great video as always, Andrew!
4
I watch all your videos even though I already own one after following your recommendations long ago. One bit of feedback, I would recommend running a de-esser filter over your voice track, I particularly noticed the sibilance in this video, 2:00 - 2:15 at the beginning and end of words. Thank you for all your effort and professionalism.
4
thank you i made my decision! Only video i found that put heat into account. Especially in these 120 degree Fahrenheit summers
4
Outstanding job once again, my a119v2 has recorded to many close calls of idiots on the road.
4
@Lam after the first video that I watched just a few minutes ago and seeing another one in the same category on your channel, instant sub, keep up the good work man
4
