  4. Just a suggestion that many of the big channels like Veratasium do: try experimenting with thumbnail and title changes over the first few dozen hours of an upload. It can significantly affect a videos performance. I’ve no ticked that Veratasium will change both thumbnail and title up to 3-5 times in the first day of an upload. I’m sure his team is monitoring the metrics and experimenting with which combination performs the best.

  5. Good review! From my comparison I thought the pro had better video quality than the V2 though! I updated both firmware when I tested. V3 is for sure an improvement over them all.

  15. Awesome review, very handy selection of best picks for specific usages, I also appreciated the work done on international sourcing. I was wondering, dashboards and windscreens now look like a mess of gadgets, will someone ever invent a rear view mirror that integrates both a front and interior dash cams, and maybe even displays the view from a third rear dash cam, so no mirror at all, more like a LCD screen? Maybe add speakers to the device's microphone so it can be used as a Bluetooth handfree phone. This way, dash cams would be more discrete and less susceptible to theft. Also, any idea if the Viofo Duo will come in 1440p? It seems like the dash cam market is still evolving a lot and does not have standard sets of specifications or norms for the hardware, the video feeds, etc., that would help the consumer, thus making reviews like yours invaluable. I think cars now need a second dedicated battery if we want to run all these new electronic devices, especially overnight cams and sensors, without hitting the main battery. And more integration, as I have only one cigarette lighter socket... ;)

  19.  @Lam  I would have no problem doing that for my own car, but I'm looking to buy dash cams for about 4 other people that aren't too tech savvy. Haha. I am in between this and the Garmin 55w. The 55w has camera to phone streaming, but no capacitor. A capacitor is pretty much necessary since I live in Florida. Might just go with this, but do you have any thoughts on other options? Btw, thank you for replying to my first comment. Highly appreciate it!

Since "as" is used to mean "concurrently," and to compare, and it's used in various types of grammatical clauses and phrases, its meaning can sometimes be unclear until the sentence has concluded. Therefore, using the words, "since," "because," "thus," and "therefore" make cause and effect relationships unmistakable. Thus, your content's information will be easier to digest for those with focus issues, processing issues, and those for whom English is a second language. We can absorb your wonderfully presented information without mentally re-contextualizing something because we thought you meant "as" to convey "meanwhile" when it turns out you meant "since." Thanks for all your hard work!

  26. i used to work for a museum. we had 3/4 of a million CFM smoke exhaust and 1/4 million CFM smoke intake unit. the 1/4 million was hidden behind our dinosaur exhibit and didnt work...till i annoyed my boss enough for us to rappel 40 feet down to work on it. turns out they didnt install the fuses or belt properly. would have never worked. glad i was annoying as a teenaged volunteer maintenance worker.

  30. Another good review. What is your choice on a stealth dual camera, with WiFi and park mode? Preferably using capacitor? I have a mini 0906 it's small but the shape is not stealthy as I wanted.

  31. As a direct result of watching this video, I’m replacing 3 smoke detectors that not only use the old ionizing tech, but also (as I discovered when I was checking them) were manufactured in 2002, so are long past due to be replaced anyway. Thanks for bringing this to my attention!

  37. Mamy reasons actually: 1) smoke can obstruct the door safety mechanism light sensor and you cannot close the door as it will keep sensing the door is blocked. Fire lifts in fire mode are manually operated to prevent this. 2) smoke may enter the lift shaft. Fire fighting lobbies are pressurized to prevent smoke from entering the lift lobby. Normal lift lobbies do not have pressurisation. 3) fire may damage the power supply to the lift, or control system to the lift. All lift are using essential power with fire rated cable. Essential means there is a backup power supply in case the building power goes out. Changeover is not instantenous. 4) in a fire all lifts will go down to grd floor and open and shut down upon receiving a fire signal from the main fire alarm panel. Only a fireman switch at the fire lift can override this

  40. Now IIHS is taking rear seat passengers into evaluation. Lots of US' cars arent built or designed with that test in mind. (Contrast to EU market's ENCAP test, which always include rear seat passengers, like children.) Lots of US market's cars failed for rear passengers safety. Also, there's another giant elephant in the room, which is rear end crashes. Lots of car's rear structures are much weaker than the front. Seems only NHTSA FVMSS 301 has some kinds of test. But only for fuel leakage tests.
