Thanks for the great conversation! I really liked the depth we went into. Can't wait to talk to you again Farzad!

This is the best live talk I’ve heard in so long. The best Tesla live talk and also just about life in general. I learned so much. Thanks guys.
27
Maybe GM has decided that their EVs are all up-market. Strange really, as GM quality is dreadfully low.
27
I can not believe I listened to you two for almost an hour. Thank's it was delightful.
27
They don't need to lower the price of the cybertruck to match Ford due to the massive demand for the cybertruck. They need to charge a premium price for the first year of deliveries otherwise the first buyers will just flip them for a profit. Some Tesla fans have ordered as many as 50 cybertrucks.
27
Using the new camera? Production value looks 1000% better. Keep up the good work ! A fellow Tesla employee :)

That was an absorbing discussion between two whip-smart and empathetic people. You are a great interviewer Farzad, and you Alexandra are great interviewee. Your upcoming paper is very important and will be much anticipated in the Tesla community, and I think you should expect a lot more requests for interviews. Greetings from Wellington New Zealand!
27
Man, would I love to be on this call. I respect anyone willing to put themselves out there. Congrats on the success Farzad
26
I would have loved to have worked here in my 2os. Thank you and to all Tesla employees for the massive achievements you have made
26
It’s so nice to listen to someone with such a deep understanding of the current plight of information transfer. Hard to believe you’re new to this. Great work.
26
I think twenty years from now Teslas will be to cars what Hoover is to vacuums. An interchangeable word in lots of places.
26
Brandon is a great speaker, with real car market experience and background unusual for EV channels. Thank you for getting Brandon on.

Did first drive with 12.4.3 today. Overall it's better than 12.3.6. I did have one intervention that would have resulted in an accident. It was a hour long drive other than that 1 very real intervention it did amazing. Video should hit channel i about an hour or so.

Great content. I have a Tesla Model 3 which I bought used a little over a year ago. It came with FSD (a selling point) free to them, because all they need to do is turn on the software. I realized a month or so ago that the onboard computer was not capable of FSD and asked Tesla about this. They immediately updated the computer and I received the FSD beta which is really astounding. It is easy to see U Tubes of others using it, but to experience it is very different. I am a surgeon and was driving back from the hospital both yesterday and today. Both times, someone was walking parallel to me and suddenly decided to walk across the cross walk without looking. I was suspicious both times and was at the ready, with my foot over the brake. Both times, the car stopped by itself allowing the pedestrian to cross. It navigates around big parked road construction vehicles, and sees traffic lights appropriately. The next iteration is supposed to combine all of the benefits of the in-town driving with Freeway software stacks. This will be another huge improvement, since Freeway driving has not been updated in a long time and runs on an entirely different (more simplistic) mechanism. It will really be fascinating to see how this affects the bottom line for Tesla! Thanks:trophy-yellow-smiling:

Once you’ve driven an electric car ICE cars are just disappointing.

Bless you Farzad for helping a fellow Youtuber such as Sam posting his GoFundMe page for his wife's cancer treatment. Sir, you have a heart of GOLD ! Also keep up the great work you do with your channel. Yours is one of the few I listen to regularly...Cheers!

This was an awesome interview, thanks Farzad & Cory!

The apple doesn't fall far from the tree.
26
I will be purchasing model y in about a year and a half. It will help me much with FSD as I have a condition which prevents me from driving sometimes. Dont want to be a burden to anyone
26
Cory has lost weight and he looks well. Man I gotta catch the whole episode - gonna be uplifting!

Your dad has realized what many “Experts” have yet to figure..

Great video! I especially love the “feel dumb every day”. Understanding why that’s important is a sign of high intelligence, so I hope you recognize that you were likely one of the smart people that made other people feel dumb too. Taboo salary question; how is salary negotiated? Since job titles have little bearing on the work to be performed, how is that approached? I’m one of those do-anything types, so I’m unsure what positions to apply for where my salary requirements will be appropriate. Any help is greatly appreciated!

A fair analysis! Toyotas hold their value well, are efficient for gas cars, and are very reliable. A recent 10 year analysis of maintenance and repair costs by Clunker Junker has Toyota second only to Tesla in this regard. With the "fuel" cost savings, Tesla is now on par with Camry. This is a significant moment! Sure, your results may vary, but it's now close enough on the rational considerations that it's become a matter of preference.
26
Your parents are amazing. If your half the parent to your own family, then your baby has a very bright future indeed. Oh, and like your pop says, BUY TESLA !
26
On point! I had a model 3 reservation and started buying shares while I was waiting. Having studied renewable energy physics in College, I’d been waiting for a company like Tesla to come along for a decade. My brother in law who is a financial analyst told me to cancel my reservation and sell all my shares. I didn’t argue, but didn’t listen and kept buying shares. I did eventually cancel my Model 3 reservation…..To get a Model S instead. Brilliant move Elon…making folks feel like Tesla owners before they are changes their identity then we find a way to get our Teslas. I bought a bunch more shares of Tesla after sitting in a Chevy Bolt in the name of research. Grateful for the mission and still as excited all these years later.
26
Im digging the “drive and discuss”format. Thanks Farzad! Glad to see the GoPro didn’t fly away and that FSD is getting better rapidly.
26
You really can’t have these assumptions in the stock price until the model is proven. Or you can buy you’re speculating which is fine but you can’t expect the stock price to be their. Apple traded at an 8 PE for years even though they had an App Store and they were taking a cut. It took years of demonstrating the App Store model before they got the higher multiple
26
I was lucky enough to get an invitation as a retail investor - cannot wait to see what's coming for Tesla!!!
26
This should be the Cybertruck theme.
26
Totally agree with this Farzad. I live close to Toronto & work at one of the Toyota plants. Ford also has an assembly plant here. Tesla also recently opened a battery facility in Markham. Would love to see a Tesla Giga factory in southern Ontario. I would rather plan my future around Tesla than Toyota.
26
there will be an infliction point where fuel becomes more difficult to get because gas stations will start to close. once the majority of people can see the switch to EV's is immanent the cost of used ICE will fall and therefore it will accelerate the demand to switch to EV's. This will not be a gradual switch. The traditional manufacturers are trying to slow the adoption so they can try to ramp up production. Ford & GM could likely survive but will be a fraction of what they are now or they will have to invest in some of the newer players as they start and grow or fail.
26
Awesome insights. Sounds like Elon is not only talented at creating amazing products BUT also for creating a company culture that encourages everyone to perform at their best levels.
26
The Beta Tester, paying attention, is what allows the system to make mistakes and learn from those mistakes...without a crash or injury.
26
Time for Tesla to start free FSD trial periods 🙌🏼
26
Totally agree but i don’t think Tesla will do that. I don’t think the main focus is profit and hope it never is
26
The “really” after speechless got me 😂
26
Quick correction - Tesla isn't upgrading HW3 cars unless they fully paid for FSD up front. I suspect they will be removing that option soon for HW3 vehicles and go to subscription-only.
25
You mentioned that the 5:1 split was at around $2500, but as I recall, they announced it around $1500 and by the time it split, it was around $2000.
25
"I think Bieden could have been advised to play it the way he did, at the end of the day its not the smart kids in the class room that need encouragement and support." This was a comment from a UK engineer who owns a model 3 and loves it. I think in a way he has a point. The Tesla team should be secure in the knowledge that despite tall odds they forced the EV/Energy revolution through sheer determination and skill. Phony accolades from politicians mean nothing. Don't worry, we tech savvy investor types have Tesla's back.
25
It's interesting that you mention the military. As I was leaving the Navy, Tesla came to recruit at my duty station, and their team told us that 40% of their management are veterans. I'm not sure if that is still the case (this was the end of 2018), but that's something that has stuck in my mind. I didn't think I had any particular skills that would translate, so I didn't end up applying (I worked in the medical department); I just wanted to talk to the recruiters and learn more about Tesla since they were the bulk of my stock portfolio.

Jordan should take a crack at how the humanoid robot could be built possible architectures and cost. His insights on giga castings and recent cybertruck video have been fantastic
25
You also did not include the US IRA that should give Tesla another $3,000 or so per car for the batteries. Additionally, there is a $7,500 credit for the buyer indicating that prices may not come down so much.
25
Interesting assumptions. I would have varied some of those over time but they're all relevant nonetheless. Feels like GM may need to split off their EV arm using the highest value badge they have, turn their backs on the entire dealer network, partner with Tesla for superchargers, then wind down the rest of GM. The faster they wind down, the quick they can use the cash to acquire top EV plays to integrate into their highest value badge that'll be strictly 100% EV. Tough pill to swallow, but the popcorn on the sidelines is being prepped :P

I worked in the electric utilities business for 45 years and only had 2 supervisors that embraced this type of management style. What a joy it was to work with them. Unfortunately the upper management as well as peer management seem rather jealous our envious and constantly undermined the team. What a wonderful world it would be if we could all work like Tesla. Put it in a bottle and and sell it.
25
The bot is the missing piece in Elon's grand plan of "machines building machines" to become a reality.
25
Thanks, Farzad! I'm really enjoying getting the inside scoop. I've invested a large amount of my assets into Tesla and your insight has only solidified my stance. Keep up the great content!
25
I love this channel and seeing ross and gary going at it 😂
25
Farzad, Alex is exceptional ! I've been a big fan of his for several years ... Surprised it took this long for you to invite him on your channel ... That said, this was your best interview in recent memory ... A big shout out to you !
