On Farzad: An excellent interviewer, a natural in this role. On Dave Lee: An outstanding guest and one of Tesla community's favorite YouTubers. Thank you Farzad for this treat. Keep up the great work.

Even on 12.3.6, I find that many of my interventions aren't really even interventions (e.g.: I disengage to stop at my mailbox at the beginning of my driveway, or FSD gets me all the way home, up my (long) driveway and sitting in front of my garage before stopping. At that point, I have to disengage only to back my Tesla into the garage). I always give a voice memo so that they know there is nothing wrong but I wonder how much those false disengagements are negatively skewing stats.

Thanks for making the case that Tesla does not need to advertise. the competition is helping to promote Tesla interest. Brilliant leadership at Tesla continues to amaze me.
25
Thank you for sharing this! It’s been awesome seeing you grow and I can’t wait to see where you’ll go from here as you keep staying true to yourself and your guiding principles. The world is definitely a more wonderful place because you’re in it! 🌟
25
Great job y’all, thank you for what you do for the community.
25
If their gross margin is -59%, imagine what it's going to be after their $10,000 truck price cuts take effect this quarter.
25
Its the last 1% that is the hardest part. FSD does not need to be perfect. It just needs to be substantially better than humans.
25
Such a good message and so true Blessed to have Mr Musk in our world. Viva Elon.
25
Let's add Highland and Juniper will be cheaper to make. The cost savings will be passed to customers then driving down the cost more due to increased volume. If orders on the CT were stopped today, it will take Tesla 6 years to clear the backlog. I think when the compact, Y and 3 are coming out at 40 per second out of these factories and CTs driving around, maybe Wall Street will get it.
25
Farzad, thank you for an especially well-organized, well-presented and wonderfully data-oriented vlog today, on a great topic. Super well-done! 👏👏👏

Humans - we are Velcro for negativity and Teflon for positivity. Great video Farzad. Service is a challenging area of any company - especially during periods of growth and scaling. Obtaining service via the Tesla dedicated app is a great way collect the service data across its growing fleet. Exciting times!

Congratz Farzad!! Good news: I managed to arrange for TESLA shareholders in South Africa to vote on the EasyEquities platform...
25
That is pure gold from beginning to the end , more people need to see it , Elon needs to see it. Maybe there is a way to cut that long video into smaller chosen clips then it would generate more clicks. Thanks Farzad to bring such great content online ! Thanks Madam Alexandra to be such a generous person , sharing such valuable insights !

I've owned a Model 3 since July 2020 and can vouch for the Consumer Reports rating of Tesla as being the leader in low-cost maintenance. Over the nearly 4 years of my ownership experience, I have had zero trips to the Tesla Service Center, and the only maintenance tasks required were refilling the windshield washer fluid tank and keeping the air pressure in the tires properly inflated. My previous car was an older Chevy El Camino (which, incidentally, was used as Junior's daily driver in the Hawaii Five-O tv series). It broke my heart to sell that ICE ride, but the maintenance-free life with my Tesla has convinced me that EVs are the only way to drive.
24
Tesla‘s NET margin of 17.7 percent is right in line with the average GROSS margin of the automobile industry 😂 Man, what a company.
24
Farzad is a brilliant communicator. Professional, concise and digestible presentation...KUDOS!
24
I never taught buying a pick-up and as soon I saw the specifications, I made reservation for the dual motor. And recently, I have heard Tesla even said it's gonna have a radius of a car when doing U turn WOW . Thank Farzad to make people discover Todd. He is bringing a total different point of view from a world that I know nothing in depth.
24
Actually I have never noticed legacy media giving two sides to any issue. They pick one side and then program the public. This is a completely different thing and hugely important to have these discussions IMHO

The covid lockdowns really opened my eyes to climate and pollution. Just the relatively short time everybody was locked in their homes and no cars were on the roads, the air quality and the pollution improved noticeably. We think we're so significant but the earth 🌎 can revert itself back from our actions quickly. So this whole "we're going to die" activism throws me off when we can certainly taper off and change as much as we can with our human habits to improve the environment, but we are not destroying the earth to the point where we need extremists terrorists to disrupt lives to effect immediate and dramatic change. We're getting there. Elon is helping more than anyone.
24
Thank you for sharing my song Farzad! I appreciate it. I think we need disrupters in our society to challenge the status quo because as you said, it is necessary to move a species forward. When we keep suppressing free speech (whether you agree or disagree with what is being said), we prevent the free flow of big ideas and innovation. I don’t always agree with Elon Musk, but I have major respect for him because he is one of the most influential people in our lifetimes. He may be more effective than the government at moving our country forward at times
24
WOW! This is an awesome help for anyone about to work in an ELON company. It's really helpful and can truly help. I hope this gets passed around.
24
My main takeaway is that Farzad’s new version of WTF is “Where’s The Frunk!?”
24
This is my favorite Farzad segment now
24
Viewers have to realize that Brandon is not anti EV or anti Tesla. He's providing an objective and realistic overview of the car market. Even if all the math makes sense and EVs are clearly the better opinion (I believe in EVs), consumers will not be rational in most cases. Many consumers are being influenced away from EVs. Many are ignorant to EV benefits because of several reasons. Brandon is providing the EV proponents the key points of a transition change plan for the consumer. Address the concerns he sees and hears and EV adoption gets greatly expedited.
24
Fantastic video, loved the idea of Tesla being a community and mission. Great to hear that you’re able to travel and pursue your passions!
24
It’s great to hear from someone who has intimate and first hand knowledge of Tesla. I use the acronym EROTIC to describe Tesla markets: Energy, Robotaxi, Other, Trucking, Insurance, Cars. In ‘Other’ I include AI such as DOJO as a service and bots 🤖
24
OK. Just finished watching this whole interview - Dave is usually picking other peoples' brains on his channel. It was therefore nice to get an in depth view of how Dave thinks and his outlook on various issues. Thoroughly enjoyed it.
24
One issue with disengagements that I've noted is that I disengage accidentally or 'early' as situations develop. The car might be able to safely navigate the situation but I don't give it the chance. A full-up city robotaxi test (with quality safety drivers) is needed to finally prove v12 FSD. Austin is the likely target...
24
Very insightful! As a Model Y owner, I've been in awe about being able to drive around in a vehicle that doesn't use gas and has incredible technology. The work that you and others have done at the company are a direct contribution to the experience we have as Tesla owners. Thanks for taking the time to compile your thoughts and post this!
24
Great interview about Tesla and Steven. I was already a big fan of Steven, but I admire him even more after this. Just got introduced to Ferzad, but I’ll be tuning in more. Again, great job!
24
There was a commentator (probably Tony Seba or Cathie Wood?) who was predicting well before 2020 that as EVs took over there would be a growing proportion of loan defaults related to car purchase as owners realised the end of term value of the car was exceeded by the amount of the loan. (That it would make sense to "walk away")
24
I can’t believe Farzard had to start doing Uber and picking up strangers from the airport.
24
Fain is pushing for a strike. He may gets what he wants, and it probably couldn't happen at a worse time for legacy auto. Fain, I think, is sill living in the 50s. Times have changed.
24
Problem is Dealers are up charging the MachE by 20+% in a lot of places. That is WHY they are not selling.
24
Production efficiency has gotten extremely good. Thats not a problem
24
My company has an ESPP that purchases in dollar amount, not shares. So while maybe not the case at Tesla, ESPP’s are certainly capable of allowing fractional shares.
23
Fantastic interview. Two diverse characters, two different perspectives. I wanted to comment supportively on so many occasions, instead, for brevity, I will just leave it as a massive thumbs up for you both. Thank you.
23
This is mint! Your insight is hugely inspiring and I have often wondered what it is like to work there at Tesla. I am in the opposite situation where I had my own computer business for 12 years but now am working at the government laundry driving a truck. It is such a backwards-thinking place and completely kills any innovative thoughts and ideas. You deserve to succeed in whatever you want to do! An active mind...
23
Fixing the environment was always gonna be the big uniter to bring the world together in a common cause. But Elon has the gift to lead that effort while navigating around or through the political landscapes. They say you can’t please everyone, or you can’t please the world, but so far he’s doing pretty well in getting established and supported in many countries. Over the last several decades, there’s been an under-the-surface, pent-up desire to save the earth by many people that just felt hopeless about it. But then Elon came along and led the way to show that we can do it. We can’t reverse all the damage done, but we can stand a chance to survive if we let him lead the way, as well as be the change ourselves, since Elon inspires innovation.
23
The best battery charging analogy I've heard is that charging a battery is like filling a stadium with spectators. When you first let people in they quickly find a place but as the stadium gets full people have to look for an empty seat which takes more time.
23
Wow well done man! Also one of my favorites. I listen to this album over and over when I was growing up. One of the best of all time.
23
Great speech - agree
23
Love your work! We appreciate you
23
I really look forward to Dave’s interview with Elon, whenever that happens.
23
Excellent analysis, Farzad! I appreciate all of your hard work putting these presentations together! 😃
23
There's a subtle detail everyone missed. When the robot corrected the orientation of the fallen blue block. It pulled in the unused fingers, while only the pointing finger and thumb were straight. That shows the tactile abilities of the robot.
23
Damn well done having chapters and adding your hobby at the end. I'm actually surprised you took my advice. Idea: list whomever guessed correctly the song at the end of your videos. This way people feel connected to your video and forms a bond over the music and community. Congrats on the growth.
23
so much fun thanks for having me Farzad!!!!
23
Exactly what is needed to combat the FUD and forces arrayed against Tesla. I feel like a genius for supporting you on Patreon. May be my smartest investment yet!
23
Thanks Farzad ❤ Would you ever be up for doing an interview with "friend of the show" Sawyer Merritt? I'd love to hear his thoughts on Tesla's trajectory over the next few years.
