ACC As a survivor of DV & SA (who still has a DVPO over 7yrs after finally getting out with my daughter, along with my Concealed Carry), I personally believe that people who "fake" abuse, R*pe, etc., should be jailed. It's hurts us actual victims/survivors and that's NOT okay! They need to be punished! 😔

  7.  @gojobuddy  Actually, the bruise on her arm was real, but it was from like 2 weeks prior. And another lady who lives in that building, said that she ended up with a bruise exactly like that, from the heavy metal door at the rooftop pool!

  14.  @trick351  Fortunately my Sweetie that I met almost 5 years ago, is the local Sergeant and has been on the force for almost 30 years, so that helps. I'm in a small town, and eventhough my ex is as well, about 1-2 miles from me, people know him, because of his behavior, so it's not easy for him to sneak around.

She was being forced, she was CLEARLY beaten afterwards, and let's not forget about the fact that she also had a little girl, and didn't know if she was safe at the time. It really doesn't take a rocket scientist to figure this out... But I guess for some of you, who've never had to deal with abuse, you all think that things are just a certain.

  31. A lot of times, they aren't paid, if they have to take the case Pro Bono. In some cities/counties, they do almost a Round-Robin, with attorneys for people who can't afford them. Sometimes the courts will pay the attorney, but sometimes they won't. When it's a high profile case and they are having to dedicate all their time for that one case, then they wouldn't have the option to take paid clients.
