  11.  @lonely1104  Very true... many people end up being guilty in a court of law, because they were just there. I'm sorry for what happened to you, and I'm sure you're much more cautious with who you hang out with, and even question if something seems off so you can try to leave sooner so you're not in another bad situation. I don't know what happened with you, but I do know that there seems to be a lot of people charged with accessory, if/when it comes to a robbery or murder, if the person is with them. Yes, in a many cases, the person knew what was going to happen, but... in some cases they didn't. Because of that, they shouldn't automatically be charged, unless they can prove there was prior knowledge or they didn't say something after (which would be both very difficult to do to a "friend" and in some circumstances, scary as well. I'm sure some would worry about their own safety, if they report something. I would hope that the law/court would try to see an actual connection and what somebody chose to do afterwards, but at both know that doesn't always happen. Example, if somebody was with somebody who committed a horrible crime; say a murder or armed robbery (and they were there and knew after the fact what had happened-even in just the car), although it would be hard to go to the law, I personally think that in that kind of a situation, you HAVE to, if there's going to be any chance for you not to get in trouble. Doing so would help more in the end, versus not doing so and being seen on a ring cam or traffic cam. Otherwise when they bring you in, you have to try to explain how you weren't involved, but didn't say anything or report a crime, and we all know how that goes. Yes... it sucks to have to nark on a friend. But... you bet your ass I'm going to do it, if it means protecting myself and not going to jail for somebody else's crime and something I had no prior knowledge of. (sorry for such a long comment) Hope you have a great day!

  25.  @MusicWorldWonder  Hahaha! I've never been to "New Yawhk!" But...I did grow up and work on the in the car business (my Grandfather started a new car dealership in 1941). I also grew up with all brothers: A twin brother and two older ones, so I wasn't your stereotypical girly girly (even now I'd rather be in jeans or yoga pants, than a dress... Haha! I started playing sports when I was 4 (co-ed soccer & t-ball), was a quad athlete in HS (soccer, fast pitch, track and basketball: I'm just under 6ft, so I can hold my own), and I played Fast pitch for a little bit in college, but then my Father died from a sudden massive heart attack one night, when I was only 20, so I quit playing and moved back home to be with my Mother for a while. My parents had been married for 33 years, and together for almost 40. They were HS sweethearts, so my Mother was really heart-broken when that happened. She still hasn't ever been on a date. My Father was the love of her life, and so she just couldn't ever bring herself to even date. And unfortunately, this past June, she was diagnosed with early onset of Dimentia (she's now in her 70's). My Grandmother, her Mom, and my Aunt, her older sister, also had/have Alzheimer's/Dimentia, so it's been very tough. (Hence why I was so ticked at Captain Dipshit up above, when he made the heartless comment about Alzheimer's). So... my "strong" demeanor likely comes from the way I was raised, and also what I've been through in life. It would be a lie, if I said it hadn't hardened me a bit...
