  5.  @GWNorth-db8vn  I know. I've been dealing with it for months now. It's because they've reported our comments as Misinformation ("our" as in those I've talked to experiencing the exact same thing). They aren't deleted in the strictest sense, but are "hidden". They still show up in the "Your Data On YouTube" comments page, and I can navigate to them that way, but they are publicly hidden. Over these months I've figured out a lot of the boundaries to be able to, most times, tiptoe around it. Even by posting the same content with a few choice words removed. (edit: posting the same, unedited comment, has only led to it being removed as well) It's definitely intentional by YT's automoderation algorithm, but they have the sensitivity dialed WAY up, and it removes stuff that it shouldn't. (I've had jokes removed, although I totally get why it would, as I'm sure a trained algo has just as much difficulty discerning sarcasm online as we do lol) Trust me, I do not throw around a term like "blacklist" without confidence. I've not changed how I've talked since Feb 2022, and never had a comment vanish up until 6-8mo ago! I've contacted YT about it over half a dozen times, to no avail. Even providing them with my exact comment that was removed. (I'll be surprised if this is doesn't vanish heh) (edit: color me surprised, it survived! [if it stays up after 45sec, it hasn't been removed])

  13. Why would they use an conventionally-armed ICBM? Because they want to maintain sufficient stock of the smaller ordinance in order to use in defense of a full scale invasion. Kinda hard to use this larger weapon on your own soil without leveling everything there.

  15. That "contraption" is a European style of tractor. The engine and front wheels are basically a replacement for a beast of burden and hooks up to carts in the same way. They are not fast by any means, and probably aren't great offroad, either, since they lack significant weight over the drive wheels.

The entire season that episode was part of, "Archer - 1999" as I mentioned (and 2 other seasons), consisted entirely of episodes that paid homage to pop culture (and cult classic) movies, and also books I think (I'm not a book reader, myself). It also included internal throwbacks/inside jokes to the series, itself, despite being what one could deem "standalone" in both season and episodes (the episodes might even fit the definition of "anthology"). The season's teaser (played at the end of the previous season), and the immediate first moments of the season's first episode, are right out of Alien, as another pop culture example. I won't give away the why on the reasoning for why it, and a few seasons prior, deviated so drastically far from the series' original story and plot, as doing so would be a massive spoiler... However, 1999 and the previous season called Danger Island are some of my fav episodes! Right up there with Archer Vice, which... well, I'm not sure calling that season an homage OR spinoff for Miami Vice would be correct, as it's more the opposite of that show... but the season title certainly is! 😋 Hopefully the show can get itself back into the groove it originally had, as in my opinion, it has kinda sucked since 1999 ended. Still though, that's 10 seasons of pure greatness, which I frequently re-watch! ❤️ ☺️ [/ramble]

Individuals go there with nothing but themselves. Whereas a country has their entire arsenal and logistics chain to support them. The former is helpful, but the risk of loses is unchanged; however, the latter ensures triumph and with minimal loss. My entire point of us going in isn't to assure a win because that's already going to happen... it's to prevent further loss, because they've already suffered and endured enough in that regard! (YT likes to remove my comments lately and I've kinda learned what it is I say that will trigger that automated response. That's why I've not used certain terms and not mentioned proper names. Even then, I suspect this will still get removed... but we shall see... 🤞😔🤞)

Actually, oddly enough, the one place it WASN'T happening, was on Operator Starsky's channel... go figure. But as my name implies, I'm long winded in my commenting, and having comments I've put many minutes into, end up getting removed for god knows what reason... that was what broke me. No rhyme or reason, and gone within 30sec of me hitting submit (which is how I know it's the algo and not a human) 😮‍💨 I'd like to say I'm glad I'm in good company, but it's not right that we're becoming 'collateral damage', and it just makes it that much more frustrating. 😪 It is kinda good to know I'm not alone, so thank you! 🍻

  27. 🤔 I wonder if the copyright strike you received was a clever bit of planning by Ukraine? You had said it was triggered on one of their Independence Day videos that you had included in your stream.... So perhaps that was by design, so that Ukraine could temporarily knock out at least live streaming capabilities by channels abroad who they wouldn't be able to get in contact with to adhere to a media blackout (or wouldn't feel comfortable asking, not knowing whether they'd be trustworthy). Therefore, copyrighting the video allows them to remotely take out streamers by initiating a stroke, to at least prevent immediate (live) transfer of info as their counteroffensive kicks off... If so... smart planning! I mean, it's unfortunate for all the "collateral damage" of channels getting a strike, but if it is the reason, I feel like it's at least for a good cause! Just a thought!

  38. Unfortunately, from what I'm getting from various folks who have videos get copyright strikes, it's all automated, both the issuing and the YT system. Once the person decides to challenge it, then the copyright holder might get involved with a person. Not implying this is always the case, certainly smaller groups like a news channel or a non-prominent musician would issue a takedown/strike request, just that certain things are using content matching algos to do the initial legwork. They either don't care about whether it's technically fair use, or are just banking on the "offender" getting scared and complying. 🫤

Once this war starts to wind down and Russia recognizes it's the loser, Russia is going to fracture again, just as it did when the Soviet Union fell. Exactly how many new countries will form, is the real question... 2? 5? A dozen? 🤷‍♂️ Hopefully many, because the country is just too big, and I'm hard pressed to believe that ALL Russians across the entire country feel the same way on various issues. I can't imagine the Eastern oblasts feel the same as the Western. Or that the Northerners share every opinion as the Southerners. We surely won't have to wait much longer to find out, though. Moldova/Romania are arguably a very small participant in NATO, and that's usually where you "probe". You don't test the waters by jumping off the dock, you dip your toes in on the beach!
