And what happened to his "I am the president of peace. There were no NEW wars under me."

The problem is simplification of statements done by people watching Fox Opinions. Example: David says: "Fox is great at making precise polls on elections." The Fox-Audience reduce this to: "Fox is great" (3 words) and than tell others "David thinks Fox is great" And it totally takes David's statement out of context. See the problem?

- Keep the Supreme Court but remove the politicisation. The Executive saying who is judge for example is questionable. - Change the 2-party system into a multi-party system by introducing proportional voting. - Reduce the stalling-capability of the Senate and make it a legislative revising 2nd chamber, not a blocking primary one. Laws are made by the directly elected House the Senate is supposed to be revising only! Let the House do it's job!

The Truth need more protection ... as soon as possible. I demand a new human right alongside Freedom of Speech, a Right for Truth.

Fascinating stuff and confirming some of the thoughts and observations I collected myself over the last decades.

I like it that Biden and his team are not trying to take credit on the successes although they would deserve it. Decency and modesty it is called. A thing long missing in the presidency at least in the last 4 years.
4
How to solve it: The Truth needs more protection. That's the short term solution. The long term solution is better education and a curriculum with Critical Thinking and Proper Debating and simple logic like what is fact what is an opinion, what is bias what is impartial and how to detect it. How to check statements for truth. How to detect lies. And so on.

America lost either way. But it will take some time before people realize this.
4
It's really evil actually. If you join a group which is cultish out of necessity and you got help for yourself. It binds you later even stronger to this group because you have a feeling of "debt" and "responsibility" to this group and are even more willing to overlook and forgive bad things.
4
Which is a lie. The procedure to apply for asylum is the same as it always is. Noone gets into America without going though the procedures being the same as under Trump. All others are illegals.
4
@smcdonald9991 I agree. Humans usually prefer comfortable lies over cold hard truths. However lies have the unfortunate tendency to never deliver (since they are not reality) and falling apart over time. And let's be honest noone really likes being lied to not even Trump supporters. They all think (for now) Trump, Fox, Newsmax and the Republicans are telling the truth and the rest of society is lying. The only reason why people watch certain Social Media channels, Fox and Co. is because they constantly telling them not to watch CNN and Co and because their channel are telling them what they like to hear (comfortable lies instead of hard truths). And people never ask or think about why.

I think Koreans good at math is a simple matter of proper funding of education.

The US military budget are 860,000M every year. The interest for the US debt cost 882,000M every year. And you come to me with these peanuts?!

Maybe a model of mine helps. Until some years ago I saw politics as a half-circle or a line with left and right. But I found that model inadequat and changed it. Now for me politics is a circle with Freedom/Democracy at the Top and Control/Autocracy at the bottom. Starting on the top you can go left or go right on the circle but the more you move on the circle the more you move to the bottom and evtually you end up in the same place down below no matter if you move via the left or the right side. According to this model Dictatorship-Mode Communism and Facism are actually close neighbours and check the society of those political system from history, they are very much alike.
3
"I like it because it upsets people like you." ... this is really it for you is it? Well unless you live outside the US you are in for the ride and it will affect you and your life life and your loved ones if you have any as well. Congrats you won. Trump is your prize.
3
@fleafarts3576 You really think your life will improve under Trump? That's so sad. And pitiful. I hope you realize how wrong you were about Trump in the next years and I regret that you choosen the hard way to learn it.
3
Let me guess: One of the first actions will be to buy Tesla-shares. And Elon and Trump knows when 3 days before everybody else when the order is placed. What next: Trumps media company ... same scheme. What next: Bitcoin ... same scheme.

What I criticise is trying to insinuate Russia or China are "communistic" or "socialistic". Russia was communistic encomically and politically until the Cold War ended but that was 30 years ago. China calls itself "communistic" but since the 90'ties the country adopted capitalist policies and turned into a One-Party Capitalistic Autocracy there is nothing left of Mao's communism. Admittingly the current leader Xi Jingping comes from the more communistic wing of the party more aligned to Mao and even tries to push to go back to Mao-Era more these days, but ironically what they actually do is moving even more to Facism or a distorted form of Stalinism. Are Russia's or China's government any good? Hell no! They have a ton of problems and only maintaining power and control over the people by censorship, massive propaganda, violence and bullying and choke on corruption.

- He thinks his voters are stupid enough to believe him. - He more than once avoided answering the question although the Host made it easy for him like multiple-choice and he wasn't even able to do that. - He seems like the rest of the Republicans he wants what his donors like roads and bridges and no corporate tax reset to normal and as always nothing what helps average people.

The judge in this case got her job from the defendent. If that is not "conflict of interest" what is? And they are supposed to recuse themselves just on the "appearance" of it let alone actual one. Now we see why.
3
At what point the Republican Party steps over a threshold enough to place a nation-wide ban for the party for supporting and abetting sedition and collaborating in a coup-attempt?
3
Have you any idea how often "Cenk was right" is played during the year? He is doing this for 20 years ... he knows his onions and it is wise to at least listen to what he says and considering it. And quite frankly nobody is perfect. Only Right-Winger think in such absolute terms.
3
I would agree that Democrats need to work more on the emotional layer. But I would not necessarily try to use fear and anger but the oppossit emotions: Hope, Unity and the Will to make things better.
3
Why do you think they now try to go this way. Trumps private Social Media projects all failed so far. It was clear they now try to overtake the existing ones.
3
And when Trump is not delivering results you want? Or no results? Can you be honest enought to yourself to admit `you made a mistake giving Trump your support when the results are missing or not what you wanted? I think you can't but please prove me wrong. Let's have this talk again in 2 years for the midterms.
3
Because Trump was not happy that President Carter took all the attention. And that Carter was revered and honored while Trump is despised.
3
Why is the left everybody else (which is practially everyone except Maga) not calling for violence and not calling for dismantling the rule of law and law enforcement? Only Maga does it. And there is nothing conservative anymore on the GOP and even less on Maga. Maga are fanatics. And the GOP turning more into the same.
3
Because now the government did confirm the intelligence. Trump obviously never allowed this to happen under his own administration. And without governments permission intelligence services cannot release anything. This is maybe something Biden should change. Something which makes sure that national security threats can be made public without the presidents approval if maybe some kind of bi-partisan commission is deciding this ... in worst case even against the presidents wishes.

Our taxes could be lower ... a lot actually. If the 1% would pay tax-levels as the 99% does. Not these 8% on average they have but the 35% normal Americans have. And if the IRS would get the money to find these cheaters who havn't payed at all especially among the 1%. It's rumored there are over hundred billion in evaded taxes each year. Something the IRS needs to find ... if properly funded.

Her neighbours should be informed ^^

Sounds like directly copied from Jimmy 'Boring' Dore!

Pro-Tip for your rally-reporter: If he can (medically) ... try to do it without the sunglasses you get much better responses from people because they can look you in the eyes. For a real interview I would ask them take theirs off as well but I guess that would be too much ask. Notice how both participants keep looking around aimlessly because of a lack of eye-contact.
3
Is it possible Trumps eyesight is leaving him or perhaps brain damage effecting his eyesight? He blinks a lot rarly focus and he has more often problems reading the teleprompter lately.
3
I find her voice so annoying. It aggravates me just to hear her talking.
3
That's actually the problem: Noone is checking how lawmakers they vote into office have actually voted on policies. If people would do that they probably would be appaled how their own representatives voted against their voters interests. It's labeled "Republican" and they vote it no matter what's in it. But there are even some Democrats who should be hold to same checks and proved to be establishment almost Republican in how they vote for policies.
3
Because a lot of people prefer a comfortable lie over an uncomfortable truth. And right-wing media is delivering every day for them and justify it by calling it entertainment before court and news for their audience.
3
@CorporalGrievous93 The EU has 500 mio citizens. Regulation in any of the 27 EU members counts for all. And they still manage it. And until Brexit even the UK.
3
Biden is more successfull and diligent in 40 days than Trump in 4 years.
3
Impeach Trump a 3rd time on charges of ... HAVING LIED TO THE PUBLIC
3
Step 1: Call your Congressperson and complain and express your worries. Repeat that regularly. Step 2: Inform yourself about protests in your state and join them. Same for federal protests if you can. Step 3: Help in Florida in the two special elections to flip the House towards the Democrats so Congress is finally an ally to the people.
3
And now lay over the crime-curve from European countries over this, e.g UK, France, Germany. Just to show what a good police force and weapon prohibition have as effect.
3
It was always possible. But decency, interity and honesty left the room for greed and opportunism. And social media and biased media channel like Fox Opinions, Opinionmax and OAN now undermining the Truth and with that Trust which makes everything even worse. Someone is weaking the foundations of society for wealth and power.
3
@july8xx Actually now that they have the financial market they don't really care about old-school economics anymore. Too slow for them, to hard to manipulate, too low profit margin. Why do you think Trump told everyone when the stock market goes up economy is "perfect" because for them nothing else matters anymore.
3
An excellent interview David. Thank you. I especially like the deep policy-based questioning from you. I did not seen such a deep policy based interview on MSNBC and CNN for 10 years. Great work!

I've learned recently on a radio-phone in called LBC in Britain that Canabis is available in so many different variations with varying degrees of THC content that prohibiting canabis in total is more or less the same as prohibiting all kinds of alcohol from beer, over wine to spirits, whiskey, up to the real strong stuff like Absinthe. And all is prohibited because of the existence of Absinthe. So the argumentation is: When people can control their consumation on alcohl to for example only drink beer people can do the same for canabis products. I don't smoke (or drink for that matter) but this explained the idea very well for me.

@markzuckergecko621 Noone attacked the Capitol. Noone attacked police. Noone wanted to overturn an election. Noone whined almost a year long over the loss. Do you take us for fools believing this nonsense. I only regret that your usual victims on the Wrong-Wing will probably believe you .. because they want to believe you. But not here my friend.
3
Because their voters allow Fox to do the thinking for them. And because they wallow all the fearmongering about Democrats so keep voting Republicans.
3
Young people don't like to be forced and the military is not fond of people who are forced to serve. Volunteering is part of the motivation / morale. The only people who like that are old people who want to take revenge on the young and either have no kids or grandkids or not thought this would include their own kids.
3
Geography is also funny. When Americans needs to identify or find places/countries on the planet. Astronomy is also a disaster. And philosophy is unheard of altough helpful for life and education. Practically everything what is not profitable or useable for low-wage jobs is terrible and sometimes not even that.

@eldajackson1 I did.
