  3.  @icosthop9998  the lithium is just a small component Robert Murray Smith has a video somewhere on his YouTube channel where he takes apart a lithium battery to show the difference components and talks about how little lithium is actually in the battery.

  8. Sounds like Tesla is too lazy to police their order placement system. They could simply prioritize single orders from new customers. But once you buy a vehicle you own it and have the right to sell your private property.

  19. We already do with geothermal energy today. The idea of deep geothermal is you can literally do it anywhere people already live and how coal, gas, or nuclear power plants today. This technology literally let's you drill some holes and spin the same turbines using the same power grid connections as the old ff or nuclear power plants used.

  20. These price hikes are cases by greed. High demand doesn't mean any manufacturer has to raise prices it only means they have the opportunity to profiteer. In this case it is profiteering off war in Ukraine same as the ff industry is doing.

  21. Ford is already showing the path for caplistist they have made a new company for EV so they can eventually declare bankruptcy on the ICE company after robbing all the asset value. Which will fuck the workers as the benefits like 401k and retirement pension will be linked to the bankruptcy company. So sure Ford or GM won't exist but the same wealthy elites will be making profits off EV sales.

  22. Lol I am sure you needed to drive 600 miles without stopping more than 5 minutes 😅 That is 10 hours at an avg speed of 60mph which is close to highway speed and above any non highway speed limits.

  30. I am willing to bet BYD will get an EV pickup truck in the USA before GM. I would definitely be more willing to buy a BYD before either a ford or GM today.

  36. Well the history of Bill Gates and energy technology doesn't instill confidence. He has made some very poor decisions in the past. Seeing Bazos and knowing the order Amazon has with Rivian it would be interesting to know if this manufacturer will be used by Rivian. I would have more hope if they prototype a Rivian delivery van for Amazon. Then we would know the investor was also the first high volume customer.

  39. Have you looked at the ICE dealer lots? Everyone is priced out of the new car market today and no one is selling in volume. That said EV sales are less impacted than ICE sales.

  43.  @billcichoke2534 you do realize the entire reason we have pumped hydro storage is that nuclear power cannot match demand and has to have massive amounts of storage to level out demand and production correct? So you don't win the argument about storage by going nuclear you just trade why you need massive storage capacity. By the way going off grid solar was half the cost of staying on the power grid here in NH where we have a nuclear power plant. It has only made our rates some of the highest in the USA I don't regret that choice for a second

Ask the British how well having the french build Hinkley Point Nuclear power plant has worked out. Spoiler alert it hasn't been cheap or on time.
