Tesla needs a new order option first available under x dollars.
1
No we could live a lifestyle in harmony with the energy in our environment.
1
All it will take is one manufacturer stating that they will only use LFP batteries that are not a fire risk to end the debate all together. The hype of maximize range has been made the priority at the cost of higher price shorter battery cycle life and having a fire risk. It is a no brainer for someone to simply say they are 100% LFP today and the future battery technology will have to meet the same safety standards as LFP before getting put in their EV products.
1
Lol I have to wonder did they lower it as much as they raised it in the last year? Or are they good capitalist causing too much inflation so you feel good when they "lower the price" but end up with more profits year over year from a higher price.
1
That is only a problem if over building the supply is expensive. Wind and solar is so cheap that overbuilding by 30% is just building a robust system that has the ability to withstand failures. The power grid often over builds capacity to avoid the failures of the Texas grid.
1
@pk47831 not for batteries
1
Trumps tariffs only cost Americans more when they purchase items. Democratic Nominee Joe Biden in 2020 election cycle. 2024 Biden puts 100% tariff on EV doubling the cost of an EV for Americans. He told us 4 years ago what the tariff war activities
1
War gives governments the political will to make rapid changes. I have no doubt that the german government can infact speed up the transmission to renewable energy if they choose building an LNG terminal is however a bad sign I would be more impressed if the goal was to install heat pumps and geothermal to end the demand for gas in heating before winter 2022.
1
Well not all his wealth 44 billion is tied to the fate of Twitter and who knows how much is tied to the methane powered giant flame thrower company. On and the satellite internet company which is a direct result of his flame thrower. So 1 in 4 of his ventures at best is Tesla.
1
Just seems like standing on one of the solar panels would damage it. Otherwise it looks good
1
American politicians need an evil empire to fear monger against they choose to make that China to help the defence budget and to deflect from the fact that our caplistist class crushed the working class by outsourcing our economy.
1
Oh ya humans should be perfect than we would never have accidents. Wtf
1
@RagnarinVa sure we can do better that is why we don't have accidents every time we drive. But they will happen you are victim blaming to avoid the issue of safety design or lack there of in the CT.
1
@RagnarinVa just like a 1950s pickup truck too. Often the truck was easy to repair after you removed the broken or dead humans.
1
No it is a ICE frame design. Ford has said in a year or two they will replace it with a ground up EV skateboard design.
1
Ofcourse big oil is they hired all the advising people and lawyers that the tobacco industry used.
1
Not sure i want to let the power company degrade my battery for their profit. But maybe down under it is more cost effective for the hoke owner.
1
You can't simply base price on capacity. The part of the price that csn drop that way is the profit. Raw materials and to some extent production have a fixed cost. If you build a second assembly line the cost to run the lines doubles along with the output. You cut profits to find more market.
1
Well as long as the customers don't die in the fire they will be back in the market with insurance money to buy a new car sooner.
1
The push for Nuclear power is oligarchy wanted to keep energy as a commodity. Off grid solar scares the hell out of then as there is no way to profit off the energy once the home owner buys the solar system
1
When you want the limited edition sports car you will pay for it. Always been the case you are buying an image not a commodity
1
Hiding the hardware someone paid for in software is immoral if not illegal
1
Vertical integration only increases monopoly control of industries.
1
@gregb1599 where did I say it was a good thing?
1
@gregb1599 you replied to my posting asking a question so that implies you are asking me.
1
@islandman9619 lol you lack a understanding of how the wealthy avoid paying taxes in our caplistist society.
1
@gregb1599 than you should have posted it as a comment on the main channel not under someone else's comment asking them a question
1
@islandman9619 lol so you are ok with the wealthy getting their income in non taxed stock options the using those assets as leverage on loans to avoid taxation. You have been sold the greed is good caplistist class can do no wrong bs.
1
@gregb1599 lol keep digging a deeper hole. You are funny
1
@islandman9619 the capital gains taxes are trivial compared to what the same assets would be taxed if the wealthy took them as income. Which is why they take stock instead of a salary like the rest of the working class.
1
@islandman9619 lol the propaganda is thick with this one
1
@islandman9619 it is class solidarity in the caplistist class. They all work together to protect their wealth at the expense of the working class
1
@Sam_BS_Electric If that was true price increases would have zero impact on the length of wait lists. The video clearly states reducing wait lists is the goal of higher prices.
1
@Sam_BS_Electric lol there are non so blind as those who refuse to see. Have a nice day
1
@Sam_BS_Electric lol you are just trolling so I will block you. You refuse to see my point is the only way raising the cost lowers wait time is to limit the customers to those wealthy enough to pay the higher cost or there is no change in the wait time. The only way to not turn off customers and lower wait time is to increase capacity which cannot be done by changing the price of the item.
1
The most important fact I didn't hear is what battery chemistry is used.
1
@noleftturns spoke like a true climate crisis deniers. 🤣🤣🤣🤣
1
@noleftturns 🤣🤣🤣🤣 keep believing the ff industry propaganda.
1
@noleftturns just read the IPPC report it will explain it to you. But I couldn't resist pointing out your agreement against this technology is literally the very same argument that has been used against your favorite companies in the ff industry. Your hypocrisy has been exposed my work here is done have a nice day.
1
He doesn't have to worry Biden already taxed the imports 100% doubling the cost to Americans for daring to buy an EV.
1
Doesn't matter Biden already put inplace a 100% tariff tax.
1
We have a 100% tariff today what else can a president do?
1
@Feel_theagi capitalism the result is Tesla charges you 2x the price for the EV they build at the factory in the usa because they know you can't buy the BYD for less. So what this does is sets the minimum price for American 100% higher than the price elsewhere in the world. For Elon Musk to not price based on the cost of the imported EV would be to deny the board of directors and share holders profits. His company like all companies has a duty to maximize profits. The share holds could take them to court for failure to do so.
1
@Feel_theagi you think the Chinese government is a bigger risk to democracy than Elon Musk the owner of tesla who is a textbook example of an oligarch. The wealthiest person on earth who owns space x a government subcontracting company. His involvement in the last election is literally what the usa has complained about with the Russian government after the fall of the USSR. The CEO who uses his wealth to fund a political campaign and not just gain influence but an actual position in the government. That is far more dangerous to democracy than the Chinese government. It is oligarchy here in the US
1
@linphilip6389 the oligarch CEO who gets a government appointment in the next administration is the threat to democracy not China.
1
Hopefully those are suicide drones like Russia is using in Ukraine
1
Why would you want a company with a 30% profit margin to buy a competitor which is selling much cheaper EV? Company mergers and acquisitions only serve to build monopolies with higher prices for consumers. I would much rather see more EV companies grow and compete in a free market to drive down that 30% profit margin.
1
Maybe you should ask why the quality of the software is so bad it needs to be "fixed" after the product is sold in the first place. I say that as a controls engineer who in 20 years had to update software exactly one time and that was when a customer forced me to use a windows based interface and the OS update broke the library I used from Microsoft.
1
Sam you are ignoring the front end accident where the CT didn’t have a crumple zone in your own video. This will never pass the safety crash test standards. It will kill people in accidents
1
@yggdrasil9039 why the energy density matches LFP
