@jim2376 in your logic the Belarusian and Ukrainian armies would also be "the red army".
2
@jim2376 Again really American to start giving these names ugh. Funny thing is that I actually agree with the rest of your comment about the army. It's just sad that American ignorance, and arrogance ,as you think you know better than someone who has studied this very subject which is honestly sad. You kinda proof the Russians right a little bit with your comment. They say that after the fall of the USSR you kept treating them like they were still the USSR, and behold you actually do. Russia is not the USSR. It's armed forces are a successor to the Red Army, just as the Ukrainian and Belarusian army. The point I was trying to make is calling the Russian army the Red Army is like calling the Ukrainian army the Red Army. Aka pure fiction and the signs of someone stuck in the past. I support Ukraine to the fullest, but calling the Russian army Red army is just bs and would actually disrespect those Ukrainians that fought and died for that army.
2
@Bus-tator yeah friends from Izium explained to me that teachers would talk in Ukrainian at school, go through the door and now talk Russian hahaha.
2
@Bus-tator yeah I know there are some Russian language schools left but far far less than there used to be. So I am actually curious what they'll say. I also remember that I saw a video recently that from now on they won't teach in Russian anymore in Kyiv.
2
@wildwoodsgirl1706 yeah modern Russia besides imperialist also has the traits of fascism, which is a dangerous development.
2
@ZR2Dude free speech is allowed in Ukraine. So false information. The same with human rights. Gay marriage, whilst still not legal, is being looked at by president Zelensky. Your whole comment is misinformation.
2
@margaret9314 what about all the Russian junk destroyed... exactly. Equipment losses are disproportionately in favour of Ukraine with Russia losing alot more equipment than Ukraine. I heard there was a nice exhibit in Kyiv with destroyed Russian tanks. You should visit it.
2
@margaret9314 if they stayed within those territories they occupied before the invasion than yeah. But there are also people in the parts that are attacked now which want to stay part of Ukraine. Their opinion doesn't matter to you does it?
2
And the ironic part is that those Wagner prisoners aren't even protected by the Geneva conventions as they are mercenaries. In other words they threat the Wagnerites better than they need to do.
2
@TheNiliu how long did it take for Iraq to fall? Exactly
2
I do love how predictable Russian Putin fanboys have become. They'll always point to this. Kosovo's independence has come into existence in a crude way, I think nobody would disagree with that. NATO broke international law, we all know that. But to compare that with Russia forcefully annexing Crimea and fighting an all out war, which has an air of extermination war when you see how they threat those supporting Ukraine, is ridiculous. The two situations are not the same.
2
Also to say Russia has nothing to do with this situation, is false. Russia might not have created this specific situation but ofcourse it is involved with the overall situation. Just as the West is involved. Just like in with Ukraine, both sides support opposing sides of each other. It doesn't really take much intelligence to understand this.
2
@DezorianGuy first off, it is Kosovo, don't think it is weird that they want to introduce their own license plates. That's not oppression necessarily. This newest situation is just a symptom of a broader conflict between Serbia and Kosovo. With both of them being supported by opposite sides. You are very shortsighted if you see this as an isolated incident
2
Ukrainian speakers can be pro Russian and Russisch speakers can be pro Ukrainian. Please stop this division on the ground of language.
2
@albo8404 they didn't agree on anything lol.
2
@albo8404 to be clear that also includes, for me, the case of Bush and his wars in Afghanistan and specifically Iraq. Modern imperialism and I, together with most in my country, were against this BS war. So want to be clear, not anti Russian, but anti Imperialist. But yeah Bush is a war criminal too, his whole justification was bs and the UN security council told the US to not do it and he was like "🖕".
2
@masterlightjames950 feel free to go to the front and find out for yourself. I'll even help you get there.
2
@masterlightjames950 I'm already in Ukraine as my pfp kinda shows. So when will you join me, keyboard warrior? 😁
2
Everyone is aware that this is from three years ago right ? 😂
2
@humanipulationnation идиот 🤦♂️
2
@humanipulationnation слава україні 😘
2
Prigozhin called it off. Akward for those forces that switched sides to Wagner
2
I think Indonesia did the right thing. They would have offended one side regardless what they would have done, and we shouldn't forget that Indonesia has it's own national interest to think of as well. I think they did a good move by inviting Ukraine which isn't an actual part of the G20
2
@AndyWoohoo666 ah yeah sorry I misunderstood then. And yeah I agree. They weren't allowed to do anything... and even if they could have, there was no real heavy weapons to defend themselves with. They were essentially trapped and powerless to prevent it. Sorry if I responded harshly. Srebrenica is a painful scar in Dutch history. Especially since often we, as a nation, are often held responsible for what happend there. Whilst it was the UN who havr them an impossible task with the mandate they gave them.
2
@AndyWoohoo666 yeah. What I have heard from UN veterans here is that they often had the feeling that they were there just for show. As they weren't allowed to do anything.
2
Not American and absolutely not a fan of the US, but insinuating that the US is at fault for Russia's imperialist war of aggression, is plain wrong.
2
@DavidOfWhitehills xD
2
Lukachenko is selling the Belarusian people to the Moskals... a shame to see a people so close to Ukrainians, become Moscovite serfs again
2
All of this because of the illusions of grandeur of an old bitter man. He doesn't care at all about any human life except his own. All in the name of revisionism, irredentism and his new form of facism.
2
@teru797 lmao the obsession with NATO though 😂😂. you're not fighting NATO, if you were you'd be destroyed already 😂😂.
2
Let's be honest whatever Indonesia would have decided to do, they would have pissed of someone. With inviting Zelensky as well (his country is not part of the G20) they actually made a great move without picking a side.
2
I support them being removed from thr UN security council, but we should keep them as a regular UN member.
1
@frankthetank5708 nah not neo nazi but yeah they're facist.
1
They don't need to remove Russian. The way it is now is fine. Ukrainian is the sole official language and the only language used in government etc. You can't force people to stop speaking the language they have been speaking from birth. If you do that, you do the same thing the Russians say that Ukraine does. The Russian language is not a property of the Russian state and the language someone speaks, doesn't determine their loyalties.
1
@grievetan no, not really. If the war would be just with Russia it would be a regional, European, conflict. Genius. It would only be a world war if China would get involved, for example by invading Taiwan. World War 2 were seperate Asian and European regional conflicts until the Japanese attack on Pearl harbour as well as the other colonial possessions of allied countries (as well as the idiotic German declaration of war on the US) merging the conflicts into one and making it a world war.
1
You can't. He has head of state immunity. ICJ can't prosecute him. Not as long as he is the "president" of Russia.
1
We should ban Russian tourists. Those that are against Putin and want to emigrate here are welcome but I don't see why we would allow those that support Putin, who hates the West, to visit our cities.
1
You haven't watched the video, otherwise you wouldn't have said this. Watch the video and delete your comment after ))
1
@LogicaetRatio-r8z so that's why I thought you didn't watch the video. As they didn't claim it was always Ukrainian. Everybody here knows the history of the Pontic Steppe and the nomadic people living on it
1
They can't join NATO. NATO membership is only for European and North American countries. What they are negotiating about is to become a strategic partner like Sweden is and like what Finland was before ascension.
1
@fishlivesmatter so, in your logic, NATO should invade Russia and demilitarize it? As you know Russia is in our frontyard and a potential threat. That's the logic you're using.
1
@fishlivesmatter people thinking like you, is the reason ww1 happend.
1
@fishlivesmatter "expand" how does that work when countries ask to join, they were not forced to, your alliance. Specifically to defend them from your country because of the sh*t your country did to them before? Russia proving them right and causing Sweden and Finland to join. You whole way of thinking is pretty much the definition of imperialism. Which is ironic considering your earlier comments. This combined with the Russians always playing the victim. Which is getting old by now.
1
To Bali, Indonesia? 🤣 🌊🚙
1
She probably just smoked in the car which caused the explosion.
1
@Mag ich nicht nah Serbia has always been like this. NATO pushed them towards Russia, but the behaviour of Serbia is the same it has always been. I advise you to read about the Serbian actions against civilians during the first Balkan War when they conquered territory from the Ottoman Empire. Note that this is long before the idea of NATO even existed.
1
@Mag ich nicht I agree that NATO force was excessive, but the Albanian genocide had to be stopped. Serbia has always leaned towards Russia, the two never having been neighbors helps as neighboring nations tend to have tensions. Ofcourse they would have such propaganda, it is easier than to say that your country did bad things. Nationalism in that regard is a bad thing. Even here we have people defending colonialism. Eventually Serbia will move on, but ofcourse they are angry towards NATO, we hated Germany and now we are best buddies. We should show Serbia understanding and who knows what happends. But no Serbia is not now this way because of NATO, before it was anti Ottoman and pro Russian, it is part of the geopolitical situation of Serbia. They don't have to become part of NATO, but if they want they are welcome in the EU.
1
@fabrice76er Ghana is a state (sovereign country) in Africa is it not? Or is Ghana part of Asia nowadays? You are aware that in most countries "state" means a country and not a state as in the US right?
1
@JonROlsen because Ukraine joined NATO?
1
@andypetrou5161 yeah really brave hating children that have done nothing wrong. So their crime is being born Ukrainian? Damn you're sick in your head man.
