Or views of entropy where complexity arises to use up energy and reorder it, into new forms of 'waste' heat, in more and more diverse ways - pretty much a key premise of the Dan Brown book Origin, of recent, for a scientific theorem helping to drive the plot. And many have claimed to verify afterlives, of course, though in the process we end up with evidence implying multiple different sorts of ones, at times fairly inconsistent looking. But by no means disproving it all, of course. I too, have questioned the big bang at times, also, and even delved into plasma cosmology, for a time, which allows for a somewhat older universe than we might have so far believed - if it holds up.

How is rebellion of those humans with honest doubts about god's existence or motives comparable to the revolt of those in his direct presence?

Angels could always SEE God and were in His direct Presence (where not only would you'd think they know there'd be no NEED to rebel, but also some awareness that the deed was IMPOSSIBLE) But due to one tree, humans now CANNOT see God, or the disguised fallen angels? Who, by their free will, were allowed any access to Earth?
