I will add him to the list! What kind of show is it? It would involve 5 seasons of catching up so hopefully I like it haha
5
I'll add him to the list!
5
Haha thanks Zeger. It's hard NOT to have a smaller mouth than Charlie! Appreciate the comment and I'm glad you're enjoying the videos :-)
5
This is a great idea!
5
Binyamin Tsadik I like this idea! We'll need to figure out a format that works
5
Rough :-( The silver lining is, it does't sound like they're in for a very long relationship soooo you'll probably have your friend back soon!
5
Hi Kat! Any YouTubers in particular that you think would be interesting to breakdown?
5
Ha! I wish. Just a scar from birth, I've got one on my forehead and one on my chest. C'est la vie, it used to make me super insecure but now I don't notice it :-) Glad you liked the video! Appreciate you watching :-)

There's videos on Ellen D, Sophie Turner, Aubrey Plaza, Margot Robbie, Oprah, and many more. Just check out the main channel page and look for thumbnails you like :-) https://www.youtube.com/charismaoncommand/videos

Hey Alexander! You should check out Tim Ferriss and his book Four Hour Workweek, and also a book called Essentialism. I agree, different styles for different folks. I personally don't vibe with the grind grind grind work 16 hours a day style of doing things, it just isn't what I enjoy or how I do my best work. If you're similar to me (sounds like you are) I think you'll really dig those two books
4
Hey Maddy! Our last two breakdowns were of women :-) Also for what it's worth I do think that the advice on breathing and on vocal range are universal.
4
That's awesome Jimmy!
4
loveforeignaccents thank you! That comment hurt a bit, I love you for letting me know there are people who don’t feel that way :-)
4
Caylie and Tim thank you! That makes me really happy to read :-)
4
Thank you! Hopefully you will!
4
Totally agree! I thought I said that in the video, that it's fun because it's a cartoon we can enjoy while knowing there's no consequences. I definitely agree with you so hopefully that came through!
4
I was thinking of doing this! Do you have any particular scenes that you think highlight it? I haven't watched the show so I'm going to have to binge watch it.
4
I missed the Golden Globes so thanks for the reco! I'll definitely check it out. I need to see the Tommy Wiseau clip too, Charlie quotes that movie nonstop.
4
iNTEl One haha thanks!
4
Dude that's awesome! Super appreciate you commenting

Do you have any hobbies you enjoy? A sport, music, video game, etc.? I find that going to group things that center around an activity I enjoy is the best way to meet people I like and to enjoy myself around other people. For me that means improv classes (they always have other humans in them!), joining a basketball rec league (they always have teams made of people who didn't have a full team of friends to play with), meetups on meetup.com, etc. There are groups that meet to discuss books, groups that meet to play video games. Whatever you like, there's a group of people that also like it. If you live in a rural area without people, then finding an online community might help too. Hope that helps!

Hey Pierson! Super interesting question. I haven't put a ton of time into thinking about it but in general I think the idea is to create good emotions in other people. So I'd say aim for short texts that are fun/funny or are about fun plans. But also some people (Charlie for example) hate texting so if you were to send him a funny text with no purpose, he wouldn't respond. It really depends on the person you're sending to and the relationship (friend, potential romantic partner, etc.) . Sorry that isn't an all purpose answer but hopefully it's a little helpful!

If you want to go deep into the science, check out Dr Rhonda Patrick. You’ll love her :-)
4
Vincent Chapman hahaha. I was going for “with little effort” since touch and sharing praise are easier than other things like storytelling for several minutes straight
4
It's because I'm wearing a Ben skinsuit today ;-)

Hey Caleb! Absolutely! Start with small wins and give yourself permission to feel good about them. So do this morning routine in the morning, and then be stoked with yourself for doing it. Especially the 4 minutes of waking up the body to happy music. You could even just replace it with dancing like a maniac alone while blasting happy music. If you do that with reckless abandon (meaning, no self consciousness) that will definitely temporarily boost your mood. Long-term, it's about what you focus on. Start a gratitude habit. Wake up in the morning and write down three things you're grateful for. Can be as small as that you slept on a bed last night :-) And then I'd say making small steps towards a long-term goal that inspires you. Having a mission or a big dream is really helpful. Also you might enjoy this video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vaCFe11vJ4c Hope that's helpful man!

Hey Carlos! I don't know a ton about addiction, Charlie has much better advice on this than I do. This video might help: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NGeU17Df8cw Also Russell Brand came out with a book recently on addiction, maybe it would be helpful? The best thing I've found for breaking habits like Reddit is to have a friend be my accountability partner, and then pay them a certain amount every time I used the site. Very quickly got me to stop.

Hey Kai! If you're interested in learning MMA, the #1 piece of advice I can give you is to find a fantastic gym that is focused on MMA. I practiced how my coaches told me to practice so whatever level of intensity they said. And they'd vary it based on how everyone looked that day and what we'd done recently. Amateur MMA is no joke though, almost everyone fighting is trying to go pro. I wish there was a fun playful version of it like rec league basketball, but I wouldn't recommend an actual amateur mma fight to anyone who can't be training 5x a week. That said, jiu jitsu is amazing as well and has a calmer competition scene, and just training MMA without ever competing is incredibly rewarding as well. Hope that helps!

Thanks DBZ Macky :-)

No clue! Charlie's filling one out for me right now because of your question :-)

We've got one on Pewdiepie :-)

Yelu C happy to make it! Glad you enjoyed it :-)

Great catch Angelo! Wish I'd seen it before we published this haha. I'm going to check that out.
3
Great feedback Rick! Appreciate the compliment and appreciate the suggestion. I agree. I just couldn't figure out how to cut this video down without losing something I felt was important. That said, on the whole I will definitely keep that in mind and consider choosing smaller chunked topics.
3
Working on it!
3
Check out the video on Ted Lasso :-)
3
Thank you!

Ahhhh my bad! I meant average in terms of charisma. Scholastically I did very, very well. With people, it was much more of a mixed bag early on haha
3
Liam that is in the works! :-)
3
Haha I'd call it a tie ;-) I saw your other comment, really awesome to hear it's going well!
3
JuQmadrid I think it depends on the person. Often it’s a conscious effort to improve and then over time it becomes unthinking habit
3
1000%! This is a video we have talked about making, it's just a matter of when.
3
Thanks Neil! Appreciate you commenting, reading the encouragement in the comments has made my day
3
Thanks!
3
My pleasure! Thanks for the kind and thoughtful comment :-)
3
Hey Mustapha! If the video does well then I can definitely do a second one. I have pages of unused clips and notes to pull from haha
3
OMGitsME thanks! I really appreciate you saying that :-)
3
Katie M my pleasure :-). I love the guessing game, not just because of the game itself - in general I think it changes the conversation to a more fun friendly vibe
3
Awesome question! Have you seen our video on How To Learn Anything 10x Faster? Charlie made it to try to help with this problem. It's something we all face when learning a new skill, especially a nuanced one that involves other people
