@HircineDaWolf laughs in Arisaka.

So, in terms of financial damage dealt in a single stroke by ATF, how many millions are we speaking? No, not to the companies, to all their clients as ATFs two faced hypocrisy and deliberate slowness affects millions of purchases each costing quite a sum. Is it a class lawsuit? Oh wait, they rely on people not flagging themselves as owners, right... What's next? Pipes and tubes?
2
GAU-19 exists in a world where M3 already exists...
2
Manufacturer of brace stocks can sue the ATF people for financial damage in face of possible lawsuits from customers, lost potential profit, losses on tooling and damage to reputation. Not ATF, but specific people in ATF, who came with this. "Every problem has a name and surname." This is an open intent to damage the business. So sue fuckers for all their life savings without letting government get involved without discrediting itself. They're trying to destroy an american private company in the middle of Covid civil crisis. Sue people! Not just organizations, institutions and states.
2
You know, you've actually suggested a brilliant solution to post war Nazi Germany. Soviets should have done like you said instead:D
2
Ok, I still don't get it how two miniscule metal plates count as a separate weapon of their own. Can ATF demostrate killing a person with a metal plate the size of a nail? No? Am I too european to ignore that law says weapon and not weapon part and ATF basically breaks the law(at least the part you have shown)? Wouldn't by that definition ALL drills be considered machineguns? /Looks at STEN/ And add all the plumbing equipment to that list too, I guess? I can understand a person, who OWNS said part getting into trouble IF said part would be found installed on their rifle, but any case beside that seems like the written law is just ignored. Welcome to USSR, I guess😂
2
@MR-nl8xr a drawing can be illegal, but that's copyright and patent laws, not criminal law.
2
1)well, it took THAT from official account of government of Ukraine for people like you to notice AND cover the situation; 2)"I don't have a position" is also a position, Brandon. Sometimes it's a very obvious position...
2
I thought that the conflict in Ukraine had shown that "assault weapons" start with 105mm SPGs at least. And 155mm ATGM is definetly a "home(land) defense weapon".
2
@bojik2616 that's the part that makes the most questions - who believes that a guy, who payed $5000+ for a single gun would go and rob you on the street with it? His ammo costs more then you have on you. ATF(aren't they ATDEF?) should go for "just as good" crowd. Probably will save a lot of blown off fingers too by melting that scrap down and donating it to real manufacturers.
2
English language sources: AN-94 wasn't adopted. Russian language sources: AN-94 was adopted for special forces and had several thousand of them produced. Yep, they say the same thing as was expected from translation:\ P.S.: AN-94 is cool idea, BUT an idea that would work with 1)bullpup(since added complexity of it is nothing in comparison to pulley system and you need to cut it short somehow); 2)6x49mm cartridge being adopted for it. Which would have made a pretty nifty battle/marksman rifle for spetznaz.
2
Can you make a video on "Mosin Guy" as he's the third part of AR vs AK vs Mosin meme?:D
2
So... where's the irony?0_o He said that he(normal untrained civilian) can't be trusted with a gun and then it turned up to be true(because he lacked training to prevent it), no? Like where is the contradiction?

Laughs in M27

So, about those "black tip .308"... American classification forces 4+/5/5+/6/6+ on russian classification all into Class 4. And apparently 6+ can tank 3 consequent armor piercing 7,62*54R round from full length SVD at point blank before the whole plate arrangement completely disintegrates into nothingness. Though they never specify how effective are said 2nd and 3rd shots. It also weight a ton. But that is more protection then majority of WWI tanks. Modern day infantryman can literally win an open field standing duel with FT-17(MG variant) if given top equipment... and if their spine won't shatter😅
2
When AK-50 would be ready, would you consider conversions of working system to other calibers? Since .50 BMG is a hefty round, you can make "Big Saiga" in 6 gauge out of AK-50 kit parts. Since imports of TOZ-123 are banned anyway...
2
When americans have no idea whom liberals are. Must be friday...
2
@jhnshep 40 rounder on bullpup? So, machinegunner is not allowed to go prone?
2
Can somebody help me, please? So... where's the irony?0_o He said that he(normal untrained civilian) can't be trusted with a gun and then it turned up to be true(because he lacked training to prevent it), no? Like where is the contradiction? The memes are about contradiction, but I can't find it. It's more like he exactly shot a guy to prove his point.
2
@lairdcummings9092 1)Brandon should have mentioned it, I legit thought we talked about AR; 2)it opens a whole new can of worms here as in this case you can actually inspect the ammo easily. Again, I though the incident happened with preloaded mags. Something that happens during training exercises for example.
2
@lairdcummings9092 I'm an eastern european viewer, I don't know details about filming and don't watch the same media for obvious reasons:D So yeah, having more context usually helps.
2
@shaundenehy4681 that's not irony, that's just stupidity and incompetence. The memes however called this incident completely copying his own comment on gun safety and danger of untrained individuals an ironic contradiction. But there isn't contradiction. He literary attempted to sacrifice two souls to prove his point:D
2
Yes, Sholohovs anti tank rifle(противотанковое ружье Шолохова) chambered in 12.7x108 was indeed single shot. And upscaled Mosin that copied idea of T-Gewehr(itself upscaled Gewehr98).
2
@fireman66767 if you're a long time viewer you shouldn't be surprised that Brandon has a certain kind of fanboyism he's trying to hide which makes all the talk about freedom ironic;)
2
Brandon, when will you finally cover AEK?
2
+Brandon Herrera Well, how about third character to put those two to shame? Mosin guy. Just look up AR-15 vs AKM vs Mosin memes. https://cs5.pikabu.ru/post_img/2014/04/17/7/1397727729_1357848747.png https://cs5.pikabu.ru/images/big_size_comm/2014-03_6/13958288695686.jpeg

Brandon, a weird question on topic of "fake" 12.7mm rounds like Beowulf. What do you think of subsonic ammo like 12.7x55mm for ASh-12 and of explosive ammo like 13x64mm for point defense guns like MG-131? In both cases it saved up A LOT on gun weight in cases where they weren't expected to shoot accurately(or rather at all) past 200m. Or rather what is your opinion on a combination of the two?;) "Hey, comrade, have you heard where we were shot from?" "No idea." "Have you seen anything?" "I've seen upper torso of Nikolai disappear in an explosion."
2
And remember... still blame democrats.
2
@InquisitorJack aluminum stock, paracord. Definetly going for that swagger:D
2
Here's the weird thing, I'm probably the only person, who dislikes P90 BECAUSE of Stargate. Team switching to P90 over M4(except Carter, who used M4 as sane person) during "upgunning" phase felt like the weirdest move and comparing apples to planetoids during "weapon of war" speech just felt comical. Yes, PDW/SMG is definitely a great analogue to antimateriel/recoilless rifle, that's why we also compare M9 pistol to M68 tank gun😂 A pity that there wasn't a Goa'uld made PDW/sidearm that those Jaffa rebels were already trained to use... /cough/ Zat, it's bloody Zat /cough/ You want weapon of war? Give those Jaffa AKM or FAL😅 P.S.: 5.7xwhatevershorty cartridge of P90 has better penetration compared ONLY to 9mm and other pistol cartridges. It's toothless compared to 5.56x45 or 5.45x39.
2
I heard rumours that there is a 5,7x28 version of it too.
2
Ah yes, poles, the people who decided that being brutally oppressed by russians/soviets/russians doesn't have to stop you from brutally oppressing others. I agree with their policy on Russia, but I just despise polish police and part of their government ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Dreyse Rifle? Stg-44 didn't win any wars by itself. Because war changed so much that no weapon can do it(even nukes arguably). But Dreyse did. Yeah, technically it did in completely different world. The next jump was Maxim/Madsen/Colt that helped WWI get stuck in the mud and thus allowed it to turn into a war of artillery. American Civil War/Crimean War is a weird case where a LOT of new tech appeared, but all the sides involved were too poor to mass produce any of it so the impact of new tech was on scale of statistical error. Plus they happened right BEFORE dynamite hit the market... Speaking of which, dynamite and later on smokeless powder were next revolutions. The latter one allowed existence of automatic firearms. Though the first prototype of Maxim apparently was designed to run on black powder. Would be cool to see if it's true and automatic gun on black powder is indeed possible without choking on its own grime.
2
Degtyarev was a great designer... who sadly wasn't a fan of finishing, refining and fixing his designs. He could have made a belt feed adapter for DP-28 just like Shpagin did for his(Degtyarov's) DK turning it into renowned DShK(deserving or not is different question), but instead he chased new medal for new gun aka DS-39. Which wasn't ready neither for adoption, nor for mass production. Imagine if soviet troops had RP-46 in 1941? Gunner being able to use drums on the move and switch to belt feed when he gets into position and assistant gunner with adapter and belts catches up?
2
Sounds like what we have here, Belarus, post soviet dictatorship that is puppet to Kremlin. If situation is like that, I'd say it's a sure sign that said cartels PAY officials to keep population unarmed so that militia can't rise against them.
2
@EnigmaGameMaster so, you're defending a bully, who chose the weakest possible targets... why exactly? Adult going after kids have no excuse, sorry to tell you that. And if that isn't something obvious to you, I would prefer you'd be kept away from minors in other cases as well 😂
2
@ImNoBSING it would have been great if PPD-34/38(PPSh basically uses same mag with cut down neck which IS looking almost the same as Suomi, however copied magazine from which it originates differs ), MP-19 and Suomi's 40 drum mag(that people claim as date of creation of 70/72 round mag) didn't exist. The guy above haven't opened his mouth about just a drum, if you had purposely ignored not noticed.
2
@sry525 RSC 17 wants to know you location... oh, wait, you've made it obvious:D
2
@fuegodeabba5978 not conversions, I've meant replicas FOR conversion. Replicas are fine for being manhandled and sawn to pieces.
2
@judebarrett17 rare? My guy, stop getting your views on Europe from RT😅
2
@sunnyd1722 "I don't respect the opinion of Europeans on American politics." Hopefully that mindset also covers the opposite too.
2
The most ironic part is that the same government that tries to disarm populationat the same time is supporting militarisation of the police. Jokes about knives aside, when people mention that people in Europe don't need guns(without asking us if we agree btw. History would have been a bit different if 2nd amendment existed in countries that border Russia, France, Russia, Germany, Russia, Austria and Russia), they don't mention that police is also far less armed. In case of UK they're disarmed. So make government legislations work for both police and citizens. Make SWAT teams in California use only state compliant guns and fully disarm cops in NYC!🤣
2
Meanwhile... Police in Belarus: we invaded some guy we robed before, saw him hold a licensed gun, shit ourselves, started shooting, killed one of our own and the home owner. Then we noticed his wife was filming the whole crap we did. So we released a cut and edited version of his video without sound and with extra pieces filmed later on, labeled him a terrorist and are calling for violence against citizens on TV as if it's 1933. Cool, right? ATF: but did you shoot his dog? You have to shoot his dog, it's unprofessional to leave the dog alive.
2
@8asw8 most things actually. Not handling minorities though as both sides failed here(not as brutally as the rest of the world, but still very hard). Don't you think that US don't have place for swiss style referendums? That most of the world don't? The other thing would be higher focus on supporting popularion itself(farmers, labour unions, small business owners) and fighting tax evasion(if you pay your taxes in Ireland, do you need to make profit in US?). No country in the world have all the policies that people strive to and none of the ones that hurt it. It's a constant battle for adaptability to conditions and time.
2
Brandon, it's in your power to make ultimate AK... by combining SG550 and GALIL\/(-_-)\/
2
Байтовая. Сейчас опять будет срачик по названию между АК-47 и АК.... /кхе/второй вариант правильный/кхе/
2
When AK-50 would be ready, would you consider conversions of working system to other calibers? Since .50 BMG is a hefty round, you can make "Big Saiga" in 6 gauge out of AK-50 kit parts. Since imports of TOZ-123 are banned anyway...
2
Now the real kicker - can Brandon design a belt adaptor and belt filling cranker machine for RPK-74 thus one upping soviets, who declined PU-21?
2
I have a sneaking suspicion that he was doing it on purpose. Creating revolutionary, but complex and unreliable guns that wouldn't be adopted. This way he gets the money for competition and doesn't get annoyed by people forcing to adopt the design for production, oversee production quality, plan modernization, iron out new quirks when they are found. In soviet design bureau work philosophy second place was the best place for some people. All the privileges, but no risk.
2
P.S.: what do you think of WWSD rifle that Karl and Ian took part it? Have they been able to finally "unfuck" everything military and politicians had done to AR-15?
