You know there's a thing called human progress and with how human intelligence had been progressing especially when our technologies started progressing via communication and interaction between different nations/tribes across the world, so progress is to be expected as it's how human progression would be really but what's not expected is how that progress would be controlled which in this case this video is true off, everything has a price tag nowadays and although times were much cruel back then there still was much more freedom to escape as the control which Empires had were much smaller and limited and even then all those richness was only made from the blood of others working in slave factories in the industrial era i.e a temporary progress for humanity, yes things have gotten better but only for those who are privileged enough like you westerners are, say the same thing to those who are worse off in poorer countries who are enjoying all the goodies but only temporarily filled with years of debt which they will suffer for it later on like half the population of South Korea is doing now, theres a huge difference between having progress artificially and actual progress for the welfare of people which let's be honest in today's times is artificial at best as many of the things you would own are artificial at best for a time period and those at the top having a lifetime ownership
