  6. The woman who is 35yo, and who's mother wants to set her up with the neighbor should really take time out to meet that man. First off, she's 35yo and will only get much much harder to meet a man as she get's closer to 40yo. Second, her mother knows this person, and already preliminary approves of him, which means he's prob not a bad person. She is still decent looking, so why not take a few days off to visit? Also, if she is serious about finding a man, she may want to invest in seeing a dentist to get her teeth straighten, and veneers. It looks like her teeth may have been impacted by poor nutrition while growing up.

In the US, 80% of all divorces are initiated by the woman, and women love sex just as much as men, but they don't say it aloud (and I assume this is prob about the same in Asia). One day, she being so pretty, maybe she might feel entitled (deserves) to be with someone better looking, richer, taller, younger, etc. It may not be a divorce, but it could be something on the side. Never know, but hopefully that will never happen.

  19.  @DC-wo2yb  Retiring is easy, as long as you prioritize savings. I know many many people who have retired in their early 50's. The key is to prioritize savings, and invest the money (SP500, rental property) and pay down debt... and in 20-25 years, they have have a paid off home, and enough money to retire with their families. A few work for the government, which doesn't pay that much, but they get a lifetime pension... so all they have to do is pay off their house, and they have plenty of money for the rest of their lives.

  22. If you have no money, and no visitors going to a nursing home will be a living hell for however long you live. Once the caregivers know no one is visiting you, you'll get treated poorly, and who will listen to your complaints? If you complain, and can't move to a different home, they will feed you garbage, won't change your diaper, and cut off the power to your room. They can also tell other residents not to talk to you, or they may get treated terrible also. So unless you have money, or someone to visit you, going into a nursing home is a living horror movie.

  25. If someone is going on five blind dates a month, that's 60 people a year. In addition, if these people have been pre-screened for basic compatibility, then there's something wrong here. Either the person wasn't honest in telling the matchmaker what they are looking for, or they are extremely critical and no one can meet their dream criteria, or they are just not serious, and dating for "sport" or "free stuff".

The companies don't want you because you are lazy/unmotivated (not looking for a job because you are a victim), likely complains a lot (since you are complaining online already), and not willing to understand the business (in your own words). Accounting is not always about making the numbers add up and balance. They want someone who understands the business and tax implications, so when they see the numbers, they can spot ways to improve, make more money, or save money. That's what a business wants... someone that can help them make (or save) money vs just a robot that counts beans.

Also, if her choice was to take a pay cut or get fired... she chose to get fired in this environment, is obviously the wrong decision. She did the company a favor for picking getting fired. Meeting some who makes your heart flutter, or infatuation... will that mean you'll have good financial base? Does that mean who won't yell and beat you? Does that mean he'll be honest and faithful? Will he be there when you are sick or needing help? While having your heart flutters is great... but at the same time, it won't feed your belly, put a roof over your head, or someone who will be there for you when times get tough?

  48. Unless a person is a super model tier... most models, like beauty pageant winners/contestants, the best choice is to leverage your job to find an extremely rich man. When I mena extremely rich, I'm talking about someone with $100M+ USD net worth. After you get old and they tire of your appearance or personality, when you divorce, at least you can get a $1M-2M USD settlement (or more if you have children with them). Just be sure to hire a lawyer before you get married, so you do get a settlement vs sign a pre-nuptial agreement, and get hardly anythig.

If she originally had very crooked teeth, or teeth that hasn't been cleaned for years... it's quite disgusting. Plus, braces also make a person look a bit more youthful.
