holycow343 The US police aren’t fighting to enforce the laws of an authoritarian regime. It’s also difficult to compare crime and law enforcement in one city vs a large nation.
1
J K HK police are supporting the PRC’s dictatorship
1
J K is there proof that the US steals oil or steals growth from nations? The evidence of US nationbuilding is strong, it’s why Japan, Taiwan, and South Korea are all wealthier and more free than China.
1
J K I suggest you consider evidence from reliable sources
1
Tourdo ops I did research and I saw no evidence that the US is exploiting Iraq or the Middle East.
1
Tourdo ops if you have evidence then show it. Otherwise you’re wrong
1
Tourdo ops US nationbuilding is responsible for Iraqi Kurdistan, South Korea, post-WWII Japan, Taiwan, all of which are rich and stable. USAID and the military spend billions on the security and development of foreign nations. Why would the US steal oil?
1
John Koh if only there was evidence for any of that
1
Tourdo ops I suggest you go to college
1
Tourdo ops if you actually went to college, didn’t you learn to trust only reliable sources?
1
John Koh it’s not my opinion it’s the NGO’s opinions. They all say that the CCP is authoritarian
1
John Koh none, but just like you are offended by your perceived untruths, I am offended also.
1
Tarred and feathered!
1
You can be ruled by the democratic UK or the authoritarian China.
1
Let us just pretend that there is no revolution in HK.
1
The US fought with South Vietnam you know
1
Chinese man what do you expect they sell cat meat on the streets
1
Assassination by the CCP?
1
Ben Franklin did it first
1
sudi gogo5 some guy with a kite who proved that lighting was electric
1
The US was there to help the South Vietnamese fight the Viet Cong and NVA
1
@Chalk_I this is not ok because Russia and China are dictatorships
1
Because PRC is an awful regime. It’s existence means no freedom
1
李钧 lately they’ve been making videos with pro-Beijing opinion pieces. I’ve never seen a pro HK democracy opinion piece from them.
1
Never ever gonna visit your little dictatorship
1
Time to go back to the UK
1
superchan7 Taiwan is a democracy, and PRC is a regime. Therefore it’s ok to protest against the PRC, and wrong to protest against Taiwan. No moral equivalence.
1
superchan7 violence against China and its puppets are morally justified, because China is a regime, and the world is better off without regimes
1
@riyazahmed1521 US has been fighting Taliban for the past 20 years
1
@condorX2 where is the proof US was helping Myanmar commit atrocities
1
@nadjiguemarful did you go to school?
1
@nadjiguemarful I am a vegan and I work in biotech in the US. Just saying you should support civil rights, and oppose the Taliban. Taliban are bad people
1
@riyazahmed1521 what proof do you have?
1
@riyazahmed1521 I only trust reliable sources
1
Sukan the US and South Vietnamese fought together to defeat the Viet Cong. The mines were never meant for civilians
1
JFHoàngAnh 17 When the mines were laid decades earlier, civilians weren’t living there. If the US could’ve stayed longer then the land mines would’ve been controlled, but the US was made to leave
1
JFHoàngAnh 17 so you can’t blame the US. The war was not planned to be lost, it was planned to be won.
1
JFHoàngAnh 17 That doesn’t mean it wasn’t worth the effort. It almost was won
1
What will the the CCP do?
1
听取蛙声一片 wow what a downer. What about human rights?
1
Israel should give nothing to the Palestinians after the Two Intifadas and the multiple Arab-Israeli Wars. The just thing is a one state solution where Arabs either pledge to live peacefully as Israeli citizens, or leave as enemy persons.
1
goofy duck UK was democratic, especially post-WWII. Even though leaders are unelected, they are indirectly accountable to the people because if HK was abused, the UK would remove them.
1
Kelvin Lim toppling regimes isn’t bad. They are regimes
1
Lin Shen HK has lower rates of corruption and wealth inequality compared to Mainland China. This is because the UK is better then China.
1
John Wick I think more logically it’s because HK and UK has anti-corruption laws and China is corrupt.
1
Lin Shen https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Democracy_Index https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Corruption_Perceptions_Index?wprov=sfti1 https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_countries_by_inequality-adjusted_HDI Proof that Mainland China is worse than UK or HK.
1
Lin Shen HK is a legacy of the UK, hence why it is the only Chinese-owned that outperforms the rest of the nation.
1
Lin Shen I think it’s more than coincide that the only Chinese city ruled by a Western nation has low levels of corruption, which is in line with other Western nations.
1
Kelvin Lim Within Mainland China, there is wide income inequality and high levels of corruption. Within HK, there isn’t. HK is better of without China, not with it.
1
Lin Shen what I think doesn’t matter, because it’s not my opinion or my data. It’s the data of experts. The data shows that Mainland China is a corrupt regime, and HK is a democratic nation. This proves that China is a bad nation. Bad nations should either dissolve or reform. Not annex other nations and bring them into their fold. That helps no one but the elites.
