I wonder how many friends and family this russian troll has lost to the war?
2
now EU leaders are pulling their head out of the sand they are wondering where is that time machine??
2
Germany and Spain impose a classic head-in-the-sand approach. When are we going to start talks on boycotting US trade? To remind the US the importance of their largest and best trading partner rather than being bullied by three little shrimps (Musk, Trump, Vance).
2
Regarding the deal, I think Trump's pals will be rubbing their hands looking to cash in on a foreign wealth. However, I remember working on an oil project in Egypt, we made a bunch of money but then there is a law that prevents companies from transferring their funds out of the country, the money made had to stay in the country. Maybe Ukraine could pass a similar law??
2
A GREAT LINE!!!
2
@mulamulelilumadi4717 Na, more Pol Pot (Cambodia)
2
Shaun Pinner, what a bloody legend- look out Dominic 🤪
2
I would love it for world leaders to sit down and answer some questions to the Ukraine the latest team. Not spokespeople, not advisors (because we know their views) but the actual decision maker. This team is adequately qualified and knowledgeable to scrutinize and ask the right questions. I'm a bit fed up of their sound bites without follow up.
2
Where are the promised F-16s, weren't they due in May/June?
2
Linking to yesterday's Pod, Australia really should pull themselves into line and stop trading (like NZ, US, EU, UK) to China if they are key trading partners with our enemy Russia. Is China's economy bigger than NATO's?
2
@williammorris584 it bloody well should be
2
@mfallen2023 but the ME isnt the problem, Russia is..??!?
2
A priceless interview, what an incredible young woman Marta is.
2
It's podcasts like this and Jake Broe which remind me the importance of donating my money to Ukrainian good causes rather than thinking I pay taxes to my country which contributes to Ukraine. Anne Robles, my next one is coming your way (usually it goes to Red Cross or UNITED24).
2
Update: No Farage did not get in!
2
I think it's clear that BBC presenters should be put to the back paddock after a fair period as "stars". Look at Rolf Harris, Jimmy Savil, Huw Edwards and others I don't want to list with the first three. There are great presenter who will eventually be destroyed by their success and it would be sad to see it. I'm talking Gary Lineker, Graham Norton... Jonathan Ross(!!?!) The BS, oh if we don't pay them well they'll go elsewhere, LET THEM I say. The world is bigger than one or two personalities.
2
A Brit/European listening from New Zealand, not much coverage over here so I really appreciate the analysis. Thanks for every episode. Trump will be the doomsday for Ukraine, what happened to his invite to the Ukraine to see first hand what's happened? Will Trump win, amongst the core GOP voters yes (do they make the majority of the USA - probably not), will he win over anyone sane or any Democrat voters? Probably not. Biden has been a shamble over the Afghanistan exit and Gaza (such a plonker!!), these are mistakes. What kind of mistakes will Trump 2.0 make? MUCH WORSE ONES.
2
Lowering conscription age in Ukraine when NATO, US and Europe has failed on every promise for shells, staggered and delayed on tanks, F-16, Patriot systems, ATACMS, Storm shadow firing into Russia. The US wants Ukraine in the fight but are letting them needlessly get shredded due to inadequate support. NATO in 2 years will need every Ukrainian soldier to train and show European soldiers how to survive the front line... before the Ukrainians are forced to fight NATO under the Russian flag.
2
I think Pooh Tin would crap his pants if NATO gave Ukraine ICBMs and they "tested" them against Moscow or Petersberg.
2
Pasta_watcher Would it be a lie to say the Russian Black Sea Fleet resembles the Syrian Navy???
2
Wow, another incredible and fascinating interview. Great stuff team (European/Brit in NZ)
2
Trump is a man of revenge. It was Trump's call with Zelenskyi trying to withhold arms to defend themselves against Russia that led to his impeachment. Will Trump throw Ukraine a lifeline, not a chance!
2
probably time to drop Harris from the opening soundbite... just saying.
2
he's human, that's what we like about him @tomwisemaniii-mt4bw
2
a lot like their women!

8 years ago Trump withheld weapons to Ukraine unless Zelenskyy dreamed up some scandal on the Biden's. Since the full-scale invasion Trump has again interfered with the war, he's verbally backed Putin and pushed Congress to block aid to Ukraine- which cause sooo much battlefield and territorial loss.. So I pray tell, what the f*** makes Trump think he can rob Ukraine of their mineral rights? Did they do this to Israel last year, and hasn't arms flow restarted? I assume normal folk can see and remember all this and Trump gets egg on his face. Failing that maybe he can take a really close look at the windows of an 11 story building when he gets to Russia to stick his nose up Putin's arse. Thank God for Zelenskyy being at the helm.
2
Europe's energy/gas crisis was over ages ago, Germany for example now get LNG and piped gas from Norway. Russia however has a oil processing and storage problem 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
2
and when they run out of those men Ukraine flops, if this is a game of chess then it's time to put several queens on the board.
2
really, what happened to all the experienced professional troops? Oh yeah, they're all dead. Mince meat.
2
@SirKeefyKeef do I have to repeat when I’ve written the name???
2
Have we ever heard Trump accuse others of what he himself is doing? Today it's calling another as a dictator.
2
Maybe tag another $10b on to the bill then
2
@TheIfifi plus cockney, brummie, scous, macams, geordie
2
Maybe this is a daft question but are there examples of the west/NATO conducting hybrid warfare against Russia (excluding sanctions) or are we lagging behind and only reacting to Russia on this front? I don't include arming Ukraine as hybrid, I'm talking cable cutting, GPS blocking of commercial aircraft, blockading ports, cyber hacking domestic infrastructure... like exactly the same as NATO is experiencing and then some on top of that.
2
America is getting some excellent bang for their buck(s) spent on diminishing the Russian army/navy/air force. Tell me, how many American's have died, how many Ukrainians have died protecting the West?
2
Why on Earth would Europe and USA trade with China at any level when they open their arms to Putin. Russia will win this war as long as China is their ally. Every effort we do is in vane as long as we trade with them (and the Stan-countries).
2
The Daily T, still rooting for tRUmp.
1
Hey Dom, in relation to yesterday's piece on counter-propaganda and seeing as the Ruskies listen to this pod, maybe suggest Ukraine has adapted their air-defence to use snowdrops and buttercups to shoot down Russian bombers?
1
That idea is soooo out of the box @48 minutes is brilliant, release the shackles, be bold, sell Ukraine pockets
1
@samsungtap4183 okay, so we are 2 weeks down the line and only now people are admitting there are N Korean troops. Want to revise YOUR statement? My was based on the reports of the N Koreans being shipped and "equipped" for the front line. Soon there will be body bags going back that way.
1
@laurie9159 and how many Polish troops have died? Versus the mercenaries, the Nepalese, Indian, Cuban, Chechen?
1
Sadly European politicians and British are known for not being able to organise a piss up in a brewery. Sadly Putin is totally unimpeded by his government. This highlights how well Ukraine is doing despite having one hand tied behind their back.
1
So does the Ukraine have time with the amount of arms they have to develop a nuclear weapon to deter Russia IF America favour Russia's terms of ceasefire?
1
Trump will treat every country including the UK the same way he's treating Ukraine. I can understand US wanting to focus on the threat of China but coupled with tarriffs the world will just turn their back to the US
1
I actually think Dom never gave an opinion on whether it would happen, it did happen, it wasn't because of him, he's a reporter and analyst. It makes other more-the-wiser
1
I think there is a huge amount more of corruption/grafting/cronyism going on in the USA government then in Ukraine. In USA's case it's in plan sight, tech-bros in the White House, employing family and unqualified people, launching crypo with a direct link to the POTUS. It's outrageous!
1
I did ask Dom said yesterday and google mapped "Russian military airports" and found loads of targets (isn't western intelligence a marvel!!)
1
Why does Kyiv not send 300 odd drones just at Moscow instead 90 odd and spreading the attack elsewhere, surely if they send so many to one location will exhaust the defenders resources and more will get in? Granted this might not be strategic but the Kremlin can't exactly hide or move, or their airports, power stations.
1
Ethically, what's the difference between an artillery strike vs an AI programed drone strike?
1
it would be a great chance to give a false plan knowing that he would pass it on to PooTin
