@davidarnovitz628 It's important for manufacturers to have an out for liability reasons.
1
I thought warranties usually cover that?
1
I don't like overrides, as there are several regular instances where they would consistently cause rather than solve problems. Neither solution is perfect, but in every other circumstances we acknowledge a system that endangers you as a flaw. Where as here we like to say, it's just a cost of an extra safety feature. But that doesn't necessarily make it extra safe in sum. How about those neck belts...
1
But if we don't even know which are ceramic or semi-metallic, what is the point?
1
Sounds so good
1
Honda really impressed me about half a decade ago with the turn signal activated blind spot cameras. It wasn't ground breaking or particularly difficult to program. But it is a good feature.
1
I swear you mention energy density every time. lol
1
Expect the prices to spike next year, or massive dealership mark-up.
1
isn't the pictured block Aluminum?
1
That makes sense. An engine can be 'too lean' or ...'leaner' but it is incorrect to say the engine 'is lean'. Much like, an engine running slightly bellow operating temperature might described as 'cold' but it is still going to burn your hands ...because it isn't endothermic. You contextually saying an engine is 'running' cold or lean is correct relative to it's normal operating state. However, it is definitely going to cause confusion for someone unfamiliar.
1
So the GT500 is faster?
1
@nighthawk0077 This isn't like running your car on Yorkshire Tea Gold mate. It doesn't improve power, it just robs less. (Which I know you know, I did get a chuckle)
1
So the higher redline engine has no balance shafts. Not technically a high reving engine, but still...
1
That's not even a bad price compared to most of them
1
Super Knock sounds like something you'd hear on an infomercial.
1
Is that a thing? How did I miss either of those absurdities?
1
Is the answer "yes but why?"
1
Isn't every year the fastest year? Don't get me wrong, that's how I think it should be.
1
don't the ecoboost and skyactive turbos have high compression?
1
The closed deck was likely done in consideration of that. But for that price it should already have like 500-600hp. Toyota's recent trend toward 'needs modification on purchase vehicles' is disappointing.
1
coool
1
They are wayyy overcharging for electricity at charging stations. Utilities companies should own some to cut down on the expense while still having a decent profit margin.
1
...see what I did there?
1
Could mismatched piston/bore/stroke sizes help balance a V5 (or any engine)?
1
Good more swaps for my Datsun.
1
I see I have already asked the question I was going to again ask.
1
Have you been repeating yourself to pick the preferred in editing, then missing cutting them? Just curious not complaining, I know editing is a huge pain.
1
wait, before I watch, does it improve CD or downforce?
1
How you hit the pothole, the speed you hit the pothole, and defects in the alloy also have a influence. *Also, Jason, clearly this means you are too fat.
1
Was it RWD?
1
I have seen this multiple times but my like disappeared.
1
...You can't say the 'K' word?
1
Heated seats can kiss my @$$ heated steering wheels are much more helpful when it is -40C
1
Nissan's is better.
1
'Freedom' units? Freedom to use a cumbersome system of measurement despite there being no good reason to considering even engineers have been using the metric system for decades.
1
That vent is wicked.
1
Well sometimes stock is so bad anything is an upgrade.
1
Well for one, speed < accel unless you go to a racetrack often. 2. hp is more important relative to weight and aerodynamics 3.... powerband shape? 4....... power at the crank vs at the wheels? 5....................................................................... uh.... can your car's tires put the power down??? I don't know Now we shall see if I got any right. *Well, after seeing the car, I am guessing he meant more driving enjoyment. Handling is definitely key to an enjoyable car, and often takes a backseat to the output figures. So that has to go on there. Based on where I think he's going with this... Lets swap out , #5 1:25 #3 is confirmed 3:35 #1 is mentioned... but so is the original #5 8:20 #2 10:37 The revised number 5 was referenced. It looks like I should have swapped #4 after all. Altough, realistically every point I mentioned is mentioned in the video, and then some. He gives more than 5 points but organizes them into a few broader rationales. Good video.
1
I thought you wanted to keep the exhaust hot for velocity, and the catalytic converter hot... for catalyzing?
1
My guess is that wet conditions have an equalizing effect, because of the hinderance, but in dry conditions the tires with a small advantage would see a more significant one. Although, perhaps compound is more relevant in dry conditions, but tread pattern is more important in wet, so they may not follow their current trends at all.
1
Could you just route the catch can back to the oil sump? That seems better.
1
Now, I know I have asked this before but... what about the product lifecycle footprint of the other maintenance items a combustion engine has, in addition to those an electric vehicle has? ex: Emissions per L of regular gasoline produced. Emissions per L of Oils (transmission, engine) produced. Emissions per L of Oils (trans, engine) disposed.
1
Welcome to a heightened awareness of the universe.
1
@Syzygizing Then your 16 year old ass is wrong. To disprove your hypothesis you merely need one exception (as you stated it as an absolute).
1
@connoratchley2438 While fundamentally that is true, you are also the only one who brought intelligence into it.
1
Kind of like a more bulky version of Nissan's. Definitely a better design than the original Atkinson.
1
Lol, I litterally just drew this exhaust valve design several months ago. (Not that my idea is novel, just the timing of it's application is funny)
1
Well, that's a huge disappointment.
1
Is BMEP better than torque/fuel consumption (or hp/fc)? (as a measure of efficiency)
1
@EngineeringExplained all of these acronyms!
