I think that's the Israeli plan and Egypt doesn't have an option if it wants the continued revenue from the Suez Canal. Truly it's the best option for everyone. Gaza has become a footnote in history.

Well observed.

I'm so glad to hear a fellow Scot who can see through the lies of power hungry politicians and make a sound decision.

And coal. 👍

In the UK new-build housing and public buildings like schools are designed to last... 20 years. No kidding. Yes, they will last a lot longer, but will require MAJOR work probably around the 30 year mark. And yes indeed, I would definitely describe some of the materials as cardboard, which should never be allowed near a building. Buildings are no longer inspected by local government and everything is "self certified", hence things like insulation is sometimes omitted entirely (yes really). Cowboy builders who go belly up after they dispose of properties and disappear only to be reincarnated with no liability. I now don't trust anything built after about the '80s. An extraordinarily sad state of affairs. Rule Britannia... NOT. 🇬🇧 Just don't get me started on the rabbit hutch, no storage design philosophy. Having said that we will cope with less energy, but it will cost us dearly. All the best.

You have to stand up to bullies. Don't live in fear of the Chinese.

@howtoappearincompletely9739 Yes. I have only heard Afghanistan referred to that way. The Yemen would be pathetically easy for almost any power to destroy them. Yemen's population is way beyond the capacity of the land to feed them. They literally survive on Western aid. Enough said.

@cowboybeboop9420 Yes, ethnic Bulgarians are good people, but what about Bulgaria's Turkish population? I know that there's the Turkish Party, which in itself is worrying, but I'm not sure if they're also Islamists hiding in plain sight. If they are Islamist, then as someone of Jewish he should make himself aware of potential problems down the road. This is just my thoughts/fears as I think that you probably know of the reality better. Either way I'd be interested in your opinion. All the best.

Yea, I used to wonder about this until I realised two things: 1. Russia doesn't maintain its nukes. This isn't speculation, their military budget has no provision for very expensive nuke maintenance. 2. Russia is thinking ahead to when the West will be able to shoot down any missile easily and the West can probably already sink all Russian nuclear submarines before they could launch missiles.
5
Don't hold your breath. Russia has huge gold reserves and can nationalise gold mines any time it wants. That's a LOT of gold.
5
... everywhere across the world. 🤣

🤣

@AaronBoone-x6c We have never had more demand for food banks (food charities) in the UK. 😐 🇬🇧
5
@rtqii Italy is not in control of its borders or immigration. The faceless bureaucrats of the EU are and their agendas do not favour the needs and wants of the people. I don't think that EU policies are sustainable at all. The EU has become a self feeding creature. I don't know how long the EU has to go, but I've thought this for over a decade! 😐
5
@peterflohr7827 TORPEDO BOATS!!!! 🤣🎌

@ЯАга-я4л It was mentioned on William Spaniel's channel in his video yesterday. I don't know if there was a reference.

@ericjohnson7234 I feel like the only way that many migrants could be removed from Europe would lead to a civil war for the continent that could surpass the loss of lives of the World Wars. This would certainly be a poor outcome, but possibly inevitable. The only politicians who favour it also embrace many other divisive policies. I am certainly not optimistic about the demographic trends in Europe which have led to such massive levels of migration, particularly as the integration social experiment has so obviously spectacularly failed. Europe certainly appears to assimilate migrants less than the US, but it is difficult to measure. All the best.
5
@ffarmchicken I'm not surprised. At the extreme, I know a family who's two children never go outside (literally: they don't go to school and maybe leave the house once every two weeks!) and they never do anything physical. Both are incredibly weak and one has developed childhood scoliosis (twisted spine). I'm sure that the other one will too. It's very sad.

Teleportation. 👽
5
Exactly. And it may take a lot of Saudi refineries being destroyed by Iran for the Saudis to accept a deal that satisfies the USA. So it's in the US's interests to not make a deal now, rather someone should behind the scenes give Iran the green light for hostilities. 😉
5
Zeihan described them as kids or children. How old were they?
5
The US has a very long history of dealing with today's problems today and leaving tomorrows problems for tomorrow. Although this strategy has its downsides, it has been very successful and arguably is a very efficient use of resources. All the best.
5
We can't. 😐👍
5
@wolfgangpreier9160 Jesus, what world do you live in? I would bet good money that in every single European country bar none that there will be some old and/or vulnerable people who have to choose between food or heat. You may not know any, but they do exist. Demand for food banks in the UK is at record highs and often the people using them work.
5
@Decocoa Correction: "a BMI of AT LEAST 35" 😐
5
@tonywilson4713 Same here. I can remember when engineers were respected, but I'm old. It may be a function of social media or watching YouTube videos that make everything look easy. I'm guessing though, I don't know. I have found that in order to understand the Green movement I first had to realise that it's a religion. Belief beats logic and reality (up to a point). Read the comments here - a sizeable percentage of them are talking about how wonderful solar is! It's very frustrating and pointless utterly talking to them. A few years of being cold will sharpen the fools minds though. All the best Tony. 👍
5
Great point. 👍
5
Fear sells.💲💲💲
4
@brokenaura23 When you stop questioning science becomes religion.
4
It would be just fine by me! 😁 Actually, why not both? Slava Ukraine. 🇺🇦🇬🇧
4
You know that it's a religion, right?
4
@devalapar7878 Solar panels must be kept clean and you need water for that. Also Europe will not be beholden to anyone for the lifeblood of any civilisation - energy. We learnt that from Russia. Better to stick with nuclear and hydrocarbons and if we don't have it ourselves then multiple sources are better than relying on one (North Africa).
4
@Gazzapa57 You are correct, worldwide debt levels are far too high, particularly government debt. But if what Peter is saying is true and globalization is dying, then the cost of commodities is bound to rise. If most commodities cost more then what we have is called inflation. Inflation reduces the burden on the debt holder. The debt is not going to be as bad in a decade or two if inflation stays at say 10 or 20%. It's funny how things work out.
4
Big, big time.
4
Because lack of manufacturing is a security issue. The USA is actually a great place to manufacture, apart from high wages, as it is business friendly, raw materials are relatively cheap as is transport and most importantly energy is extremely cheap. Automation will solve some labour problems.
4
Interesting.

I took a wrong turn driving in Strasbourg about a decade ago and ended up in a bad area. I was in a rental car from Germany and I was given an upgrade - a brand new Merc. I turned around and left fast. I was shocked at the place and people.
4
I questioned his statement too.
4
@wintermute- Ain't that the truth. I miss Ronald Reagan. 😢
4
@fatwombat2611 It won't work. Undersea cables are too vulnerable.
4
Nose ring? Really? Wow, how the mighty have fallen. 🤦♂️
4
@inq752 Well said. Russia is impotent.
4
Yes, you are correct.
4
I don't think that Central Asia is interested in becoming "integrated" with Turkey though. It hasn't been long that they've gained freedom from the Soviets and they don't want to be under the Turkish yoke.
4
As you should be aware if you read the comments, it doesn't do Peter's popularity among Americans to talk about some US domestic matters. US domestic business opportunities YES. US domestic politics NO. Don't ask him this type of question, he won't talk about it. This is the most political video which he has made and judging by the comments I'm sure that in retrospect he would probably regret posting this. All the best from the UK.
4
@personzorz 🤣👍
4
Except of course predicting Russia invading Ukraine and China being in demographic collapse. Just saying. 🤦♂️
4
@msytdc1577 Correct. This will be a lifeline for Turkey's finances. Then when Turkey gets a good taste for all that extra money for nothing the EU will threaten to take it away unless Sweden and Finland get the green light to join NATO. It's a language that Turkey understands. Still Russia won't get a brown penny. Pretty neat trick. 🤣 Slava Ukraine. 🇺🇦🇬🇧
4
@googacct Unfortunately I'm seeing more Russians with good winter clothing. Let's hope that their supplies don't reach where they are needed.
4
@wizard0313 Just having looked at his channel he's getting 321k views per video for the 42 videos in the last two months (excluding this one) - that will not be chump change. His production cost is also extremely low. However he wants more, which is ok. The fact that he irritates many of his subscribers by the launch of his Patreon is down to him - his people skills are extremely poor. He may increase his revenue by using Patreon, but unlike every other YouTuber who has gone this route, I personally hope that it goes badly for him. 🐤🐤
